My sister and nephew are here this weekend from Kansas City and we are headed to the pool but I think it's even too hot for that!?
My morning walk was pretty short because it was so awful!

Alexa bought a swimsuit and a couple of dresses yesterday on clearance, she swears they will fit next year!? I hope she's right!

Interesting. That is the second post I've done that's been lost. Maybe it's when I post at work. Not sure.

We have been buying stuff for Jess also. I hope she is about done growing! She will get measured at the doctor today for her school physical. I'm sure she is around 5'8". Sara is at least 5'9". I don't have tiny petite children. With Sara, I want to wait a little longer and see if she can lose some weight.

I am so glad the heat broke! It was starting to get to me. Low to mid 70's today, but back close to 100 over the weekend. How was the weekend at the pool? We stayed in a LOT last weekend. Pretty much did errands as needed, and walked the dogs at night.

School starts here in 20 days! Good thing, they are making me . I'm tired of seeing this

I'm about ready for school to start also! Not ready for her to go to high school but she's been very bored this summer!

Weekend was fine! We stayed in alot also! Made my sister put together a new computer desk for me!

Wow! You have tall girls! We are a short family! I think Alexa is 5ft now! I have a feeling she'll be taller than me soon though!

Once school starts, I KNOW the time will fly and it will be July 1st, 2006!!

I was close on the heights. Jess is 5'6 3/4", and Sara is 5'7 3/4". I am 5'3", so they don't get it from me! Hubby is 6'4". The doctor said she doubts very seriously if they are done growing!

The girls are bored too, and of course spend all of their time bothering me. They call me at work so I can referee a fight. I don't think so.

Time is already starting to fly. My TA just faxed me another invoice from Disney. I think it's the same as the last one I got, but haven't had time to check. Working more hours is more of a strain that I thought it would be. I haven't worked full time since I was pregnant with Sara. I just keep telling myself that working more hours equals more money in the cruise fund!

Hey there! I've been sick for about a week! Today is the 1st day I'm feeling somewhat 'normal'!

Yes we have! We went on a three-night cruise on the Wonder OCtober 2003. We loved it!

Hi Melissa! I will have 2 daughters on this cruise. They will be 13 and 14. They would love to email you if you are interested.

Lisa - glad you are back among the well. Jess was sick for a couple of days last week, and that is unusual for her. It is some sort of virus that just knocks you for a loop, but the recovery is fairly quick. Are the girls still emailing? I haven't checked Sara's account lately.

We still need to do some shopping. School starts one week from today. Sara will be at the school a couple of days this week to help with orientation for the 6th and 7th graders.

When does football start for you Lisa? Our first game is Sept 3rd. I haven't had time to check out any other teams this summer. I have heard a few rumblings about K State, but nothing different than what we hear most years about everyone. We are hoping for a much better year!

Not sure if Alexa has received an email froom Sara in awhile?! I think last time I asked her, she had not received one!?
Last full week of summer vacation!! Wonder how late she'll sleep in every day!?

You are right about the football....sorry. Just checking to see if you are anxious for the season as I am.

I had to get Sara up before I left for work today because she is helping with orientation at school. That was not an easy task. I am not looking forward to having to do that everyday again.

I will remind Sara to email. She got off track after her vacations this summer.

We have cooler weather moving through tomorrow, hope it heads your way also! As much as I hate this , we could use a break from the heat!

Hello! May we join all of you 'July 4th week' cruisers?

I just booked our family today! It will be DH, DD (who'll then be 11) and myself. This will be our 5th DCL trip! (Believe it or not, we're also booked this Thanksgiving. We got a sweet deal when we rebooked on board last year during our Memorial day sailing. It feels as if it's been an eternity since then! ) Anyway, I prefer summer sailings (such as this one) and spring break, and am looking most forward to this one! (Can one tell, we're DCL nuts! )

Welcome Priscilla! I have a niece going that will be 10, and I think Deb has some kids going that are in that age range also. So far, it looks like we are the only newbies on this cruise. Oh well, the boards have been such a big help that we won't feel like it.

I'm with Lisa, since school (and football) is starting, time will fly now, at least I hope so.

I just noticed that the KState game is a home game for us this year. You can buy tickets on the KState website for the Husker game. I checked this afternoon. Why don't you get tickets, and come on up here. It should be a little more interesting this year. We have not one, but two QB that can play! I got my season tickets today, so I am ready for some football!!

Invitation stands if you ever feel the need to head north!

My kids started school yesterday. It was only half a day since they don't want to freak out the 6th grade kids on the first day. They go in the morning, and the 7th & 8th graders go in the afternoon. It was positive for both girls (thank God!), so it might be a good year.

I'm with you, let's play some football!! Let's see. It would be about 18 days, 10 hours, and 26 minutes. Not that I'm counting. I'm getting my fix on NFL preseason games right now.
