The waiting is tough but at least we are under the 6 month mark now.We are working on figuring out which excursions are not to be missed, what night we'd like to dine at Palo, and which spa treatments we can't live without, what grueling work ;)
Not sure where to stay the night before the cruise, debating between Radisson and Holiday Inn Express in Cocoa Beach.
We are spending a few days at Universal Studios/Portofino Hotel before we cruise.Just wondering what all of our fellow July 19 cruisers are up to.By the way our family consists of DS 13, DS 12, and DD5,plus hubby and I- we have also talked our neighbors into coming along and they have a 10 yr. old son.Who else is coming along??

My DH and I are on that cruise! We are going to celebrate his 30th birthday and my completion of my Master's degree. We just booked our airfare and car rental the other day. Now the wait is on!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hey Michellepooh, what great things to celebrate on the cruise. Where in Mass. are you from? I was born in Wakefield, and my mom's family are all still living in Mass. they are all on the Cape now which is where I spent every summer growing up as a kid-I miss it!

we also are on that cruise. its going to be me, my wife, and my 12 year old. also my cousin her husband, and her 12 year old are also going. just booked air fare out of pittsburgh pa. probably going to stay at the hyatt inside the airport.

:)

We are also on the 19 July cruise! me, DD(9), DS(12). This will be our second trip, but we did the 4 day cruise before so we don't have much data on excursions. We are travelling with some friends who are also on a repeat cruise (they have DD(12), DS(14)). They HIGHLY recommend the Fury Catermaran excursion.
My parents live about 2 miles from the port so we stay with
them on either side of our trip. We visit down there a couple of times each year and ALWAYS go by the port to see the ships set sail. It is so exciting to just be in the area. I can't believe we are finally at the six month mark!!!!!!

We are also on your 7/19 cruise! It came so quick..we booked it after our Eastern Cruise in July 2001. Two years seemed so far off at the time...but here it is already this summer! This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise since 2000...we are a family of 5..3 boys ages by July will be 17 1/2, 15 & 11 1/2....lots of 12 yr old boys on this cruise seems like...watch out!

We are from the West Coast so fly in the day/night before and stay at the Radisson like we did last time.

Plan to do the mini golf in Cozumel and maybe the Jet Skis in Key West.

It's fun to see the list of July 19 cruisers growing and so far the 12 yr. old boys seem to dominate! We also cruised Disney last year ,the eastern route,it was our first cruise ever- Now we want to make it an annual event:teeth:

We are also looking forward to the July 19th cruise! See you all there.

Well...this is good to know...all these 12 yo boys on this cruise - this might change my mind about how to dress dd!!! ROFL

We are also on this cruise and I'm just now beginning to start looking at the different excursions - trying to plan on what spa options I want to try and do, etc. I'm starting to get more and more excited now...you know....6 MONTHS WILL GO BY QUICKLY!!!!

It will be me, my dh (DoctorP) and my dd who is 13. Can't wait to meet some of the DISers on the cruise!!!

If any of the kids are interested in "meeting" via E-mail my boys would be up for that.Just post and let us know.
Tezb- are you anywhere near Half Moon Bay? Hubby has a conference there for work end of April, never been there, but it looks beautiful,I think our whole family will attend that one.

I hope there are some more girls going on this cruise. DD might think it'll be fun to hang out with the boys but I don't think the boys will like it - she's a pretty easy going kid and loves to play games and stuff....

December99, I know MJ (mmouse37) is going on our cruise also. I don't know the age of your dtr, but she has teen girls.

bothofus...I live about 40 minutes from Half Moon Bay..they are on the coast in the fog and I am more south where the weather is warmer. Where do you live?

tezb- We live in Colorado, just a bit south of Denver.Still waiting for our winter here, although the mountains fortunately have the snow for skiing,Denver has had an extremely dry warm season,my Mom goes to Florida in the winter where she is "enjoying" temperatures of 27 meanwhile we are enjoying high50's,low60's here:p
What do you think the weather will be like @ Half Moon Bay end of April?

We'll be joining you guys ~ my husband and I, DS14 and DD10. This will be our fourth DCL cruise. We did the Western cruise last year and loved it so much we wanted to have the same itinerary again.

We're going to have quite a crew from Annapolis, Md. this time around. Two other families we know are going to be cruisin' on July 19th also (DDLuvstitch ~ are you from Annapolis? :) ) so it will be really nice to see their smiling faces around the ship!

We'll be staying at the Radisson the night before. We stayed in WDW last year around the same time of year and we were glad we only had 3 days there because it was SUPER hot!!! We're going to stick to going to WDW in the Fall. The weather is much nicer in Fla. at that time of year.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all on the cruise!

We are also cruising this date with three other families from New Orleans. The number of boys is definitely growing. In our group, we have 6 boys ages 3, 8, 10 (three of them) and 12, and only one girl (10).

We plan on arriving Thursday before the cruise and staying at the Wilderness Lodge for two days. On Saturday, we will drive down to Port Canaveral.

In February 2001, we took a 4 day cruise on the Wonder and it was "wonderful." The 4 day cruise was definitely not long enough and are looking forward to the 7 day cruise.

Hey everyone....yes we are also booked for July 19, and hoping we can keep the ressie....just found out our son's Blazer needs a new transmission to the tune of $2,000 which is seriously denting our vacation budget.

But, I am not cancelling anything yet!!!! Wish for some pixie dust!!! We are booked for Radisson for Friday night in the 2 king bed suite....Anyway, we are a family of five with three teens DD19, DS18, DD15 (who by the way is already friends with tezb's son Brandon). We also sailed with them on the 7/7/01 cruise!!!

Isn't that the one where the kid jumped off Deck 4 into the St. Thomas Harbor and was put in lock down for the rest of the cruise???? and there was the medical emergency on Castaway Cay where we were delayed getting back to Port Canaveral for several hours. Then on our 8/3/02 cruise the Magic had to rescue the cuban refugees that were adrift off Key West. Then on our 1/4/03 cruise we missed Grand Cayman due to rough seas.....do you all see a pattern developing here. Every time we sail....out of the ordinary things happen....just warning everyone ahead of time!

There are no icebergs in the Caribbean, right???? LOL

MJ

Add our DS 11-1/2 into the mix, along with our DD 16-1/2. What a great time those boys will have!

FYI, bothofus, we live in Half Moon Bay. April is a beautiful time of year here. Summer is when we really get the fog. Where are you staying? I can give you some great restaurant ideas.

Captain Wildcat...we are from Foster City...what flight are you on the day before? We are out of SFO, American Airlines..couldn't get a direct flight though.

My youngest son will be 11 1/2 by the cruise and I have 2 older sons 17 1/2 and 15. Should be fun for them...again.

Captain Wildcat,we will be staying at the Ritz-Carlton,and we will have our car, so I would love any restaurant suggestions you could give,we will have the kiddos with us,they are 13,12,and 5, we might get out one night on our own. Can't wait to see your part of the country, sounds beautiful! Is this your first Disney cruise?
