July 18 Tortola cruise part 3

Congrats, Virgil!

Is that everyone, then? Can everyone sail safely, now? Jamie said that I was lucky I got one, because otherwise I would've been an outcast and nobody would talk to me, so I want to make sure everyone got one!:rotfl:

If it makes you feel any better, I'm not. I have two kids fighting like Ultimate Fighting Champions, and a list of things that needs to be packed, purchased, or picked up that should last me through 'till we leave tomorrow.

But after that, it's all laziness, so that's keeping me going. :)

Good luck with everything you have to do today. Laziness for the next week sounds so good. Ahh to be pampered for the next week and not having to worry about anything. that will be the life!:thumbsup2

What time will you arrive at port?

According to Marcy, we're set to arrive right when they open. :)

Well, we got a lot packed this morning. I went into work late and we just packed like crazy.

We should get to the port at about 10, unless we have a last minute shopping run that we have to make. But our Target opens at 8, so we shouldn't be too delayed, in any event.

Mmmmm... Target Starbucks. Are you sure there's nothing we forgot to pack that we need from Panera?

I am now 99% packed! Just have the personal stuff to pack. Will Saturday arrive soon enough??:confused3 One more day to work, :surfweb: How will I be able to concentrate?

Saturday 4AM will be here soon enough! Those that are arriving on Saturday, what time does your flight get in? Ours arrive at 9:45am, then taking DCL buses to CC.

We should be arriving around the same time from BWI. I'll look for you at the area for the Magical Express to the ship.

1300!!!!

Captain Last Minute!

Now we can go. Congratulations Captain Last Minute!

Advice: We will be driving down from the airport (MCO) where would you suggest we stop to buy the water? What is on the way?

I'm bumping this to make it easier for anyone else who comes on here today to find it. :) (Like I just did.)

Thank you! I was just getting ready to look for it so you saved me some time.

I am so jealous! our plane will be landing. We will be lucky if we arrive by noon

2 1/2 hours left at work.

That's tricky. Going from the airport isn't far from being a straight shot down the expressway (528), so I can't think of any sort of shopping centers on the way right off the top of my head. It's sort of a swampy wilderness all along 528, with not much shopping that I can think of off the top of my head.

Of course, off the main road a bit from the airport is all sorts of shopping that caters to mostly tourists, but it's about a five to ten minute drive the opposite direction (there's a Target, a massive mall called the Florida Mall, and various other shopping areas and gas stations). Alternately, you'll end up near Daytona Beach once you get to the port, which will have a lot of options, too, but again they're a little off the beaten path. Marcy might be able to think of something different since she's always up that way for work traveling, but that's all I can remember. :(

It's definitely an advantage of living here!!! :) But whatever! You'll get there in no time at all from the airport (I think it's about a 40 minute ride from the airport to the port, and I promise that I won't eat all the shrimp before you get there, assuming we're even able to board, yet. :)

Still no pirate but that is ok...I'll be getting on the boat anyway! Busy today...but now I can say check to the mani/pedi and have now started laundry...then on to pack :) YEA

A couple more questions- what time can we get into our cabins? The place to have lunch is atParrot Cay even though they say it's full? or we will have to eat at topsiders?
Please save us some shrimp! ;)

There is a Walmart at Cocoa Beach (off SR-528 just before you cross US-1)
and an ABC Liquor right near the port. It may be easier to just stop at a gas station. The big stations here sell water by the case, and it's probably worth it for you not to drive around.

There is also a Publix on A1A a few miles south of the port.

I think we've always been in our cabins by 1:30-2 or so except on our hurricane cruise.

We always eat at Parrot Cay, even if they say it's full. I'd rather wait in the Parrot Cay hallway than fight people with my luggage in tow at Topsider's, but that's just me. Plus, Parrot Cay always puts me in a happy mood. Topsider's, not so much.

What kind of evil person schedules a conference call from 3-5 on my last day of work when I have several more hours of stuff to get done???
