July 18 Tortola cruise part 3

I've decided that I'm going to give up on being a pirate, which really doesn't suit my lifestyle anyway. I like my showers too much...

Ah I was really hoping this one was yours....maybe next time?

Thanks for the vote! :)

I almost missed it altogether because I was taking out trash, and everyone seemed to jump on all at once. I actually just threw in a hail mary shot when I saw the count at 98. :thumbsup2

With the exception of band and health - ds is taking all Pre-AP courses. It's going to be an interesting fall semester with marching band... :scared1:

Did you see the article in the Houston Chronicle this week that said that Texas will no longer be requiring Health to graduate?

Did not say when it will take effect......

But you might want to make a phone call or two...

Speaking from my lifelong experience as a Cubs fan, there's always the next one! Hope springs eternal :thumbsup2

I did hear that - I'll have to check into it - it'll probably go into effect with the next graduating class since schedules and plans are already in place. I think it's on his schedule for the fall - too late to change the schedule, according to our district. Don't think I'll tell him he could take another Pre-AP course during marching band season. :scared1:

DD does all Pre-AP (or now AP) except for English. Our school district has an incredible amount of extra reading (last year it was like 10 extra books) - and with marching band, I siad no, she was not going to kill herself. She needed some sort of break, and that was the easiest one to drop to academic.

This year she has a combination of PreAP, AP, Academic English, Band and now also has a job... should be interesting for her also.

She is looking at either Baylor or UT Austin for College, so she needs to make sure she stays in the top percentage of her class. Her high school is the only school I know of that a student can have a 4.0 gpa, and be in the second 25% of the class, and not the top 25%.

and no I don't have an alert on my Blackberry telling me when to post... It's pure skill :thumbsup2

Huh! 'Cause I have a PC which automatically sets off an alarm fifteen posts prior, as well as three PCs running as redundant backup in case the others go down, a Blackberry with multiple alarms, and two neighbor kids who I pay three bucks an hour to keep vigil, just to be safe...

If you've got the post # handy to the updated list with the last minute additions, we have some extra gifts to distribute. I'd like to print it off and I"m too lazy to wade back through the posts.
