Oh I would love a day off this week. I'm fighting a nasty cold and not looking forward to work tomorrow.

I might be changing jobs a Kindergarten teaching position just came open at another school and I've applied for. It's a public school so better pay and is much closer to home.

Best of Luck! Wow Kindergarten (ugh). I'd teach high school any day. At least they can find their own page in their book!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: You primary school teachers are the best!:worship: :worship:

I called Shades of Green yesterday to add the Grand Gatherings number to our reservation. It sounded like the guy had to give the number to a different rep in order to coordinate it with Disney. I hope it works out. I wonder if there's a way to tell.

Yes, let us know if we need to call anyone or follow up.:thumbsup2

OK, MaryAnn....let me disagree with you on one respect::hug:
kindergarten lunches vs. high school lunches!:scared1:
since I monitor BOTH, give me those little kids ANY DAY::yes::
(coming to me and asking me to open their yogurt vs. being hit by a tater tot!):rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

JoAnn #1 asks, how was my Monday: my baby is going to the prom! I'm so excited...not a girlfriend kindof thingy, a friend thingy.....who cares....he is a junior, she is a sophomore....and, how can i put this gently....this little girl fills out a dress very well....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
All kidding aside, I think Tyler's parents (that's us) are honestly more excited than he is....I think Tyler is more excited about the possible limo ride than the date:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We are waiting for an ice storm to hit us overnight tonight. Starting as snow....maybe no school tomorrow? who knows...this storm could blow over, but there is a winter storm warning out for us....I wouldn't mind if Tyler DID have a day off tomorrow (can't believe I'm saying this:sad2: ) but he does have a cold and could use a day off.

A day off for us!!!:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: Sending the storm to you folks out east!!!!! We always get it before you. We have about three inches down and more to come including freezing rain.:sad2: I like the snow but the freezing rain is not what I want.

Hope everyone is safe!

BTW - Joann #2 - did I see where US Military can enter WDW parks for free during 2009? Is your DH military? I assumed since you were able to book Shades that one of you might qualify.

Lucy,
I guess we've aquired pretty good ducking reflexes over the years!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Proms......... how exciting! I remember both of my kids proms (heck I remember my prom and DH's prom - mint green tuxedos :crazy2: ) Our school did away with the senior prom about 4 years ago (We were on national news). Instead they have a "Senior Sendoff". After the inital disbelief from parents and students, it actually gets rave reviews from both. The school transports the students to the boat dock, rents out the boat for the evening with dinner and dancing. The girls wear coctail dresses, the boys a suit, no limos, no alcohol, etc. It really has become something the kids look forward to.

Tator tots????!!!!! You got off easy - every self respecting high school student knows that the best days for food fights are when either spaghetti or mash potatoes is on the menu.... They stick to the ceiling better :lmao:

the students weren't aiming for the ceiling - they were aiming for each other and I was in the middle! :lmao: :lmao:

We are waiting for a winter storm, which is to begin any minute. Anyone else hit by this nasty storm? Sounds like alot of ice is coming our way again.
I'll let you know tomorrow.:cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold:

No, DH and I are both in the Foreign Service. So we don't generally qualify for Disney discounts reserved for military. However, we do qualify to stay at SOG because we are U.S. civilian employees stationed overseas.

Snow Day here. I think I'm getting cabin fever. I am so sick of seeing white on the ground. Can we go on the cruise now??????

I am with you!!! We have another 3+ inches on top of yesterday's 3" and ice! It is a mess out there. Poor Mark has to get to work. Our driveway is STRAIGHT UP to get out, so he had to park at the top of the hill last night to guarantee he'd make it to work. He had to go out and start his car and it was frozen from the ice storm, plus covered in snow from the storm that followed!!:sad2: He got stuck in the drive and on our court before making it to the road which hasn't been plowed yet. We live in a subdivision and the county hasn't made it here yet!

I bought up groceries this weekend, but we are running out of stuff!:scared:

I hope there is school tomorrow......................:beach:

Hey Texas........how's it there??? I just heard that Ft. Worth's airport is closed!
