Wow, I'm gone 2 hrs and had over 3 pages to read. Then I saw the pirate run.

Just had another rain shower. This must be something like 30 days in a row of rain here on LI.

Hey Starwood! I was just looking at the FE list closely. Didn't realize that we are neighbors!!!! I hope the girls don't keep you all up at night!

And we have 5 cabins out of 8 in a row in our hallway! This should simplify the FE exchange a little!

Should I bring them something maybe a blankie or binkie????

I love when things go up on weekends and hoildays. Still trying to figure out if I should repair my dryer or just go get a new one? Of course the repair guy, our scout master, that I trust has a broken water pipe and then leaves for CO for a week with the other scout group. What a pain. I know it could be worse, but still it is really bugging me.

Is it too early to drink? Back to my to-do list......

Me too! I will be easy to spot....have been on a diet for 3 months now and haven't been drinking...so needless to say, I'll be the drunk one!

I don't breathe (literally) without my Zyrtec, is there something I should know??? I'll definitely be in line for a Konk Kooler, so if there's an issue there I'll be making some very difficult decisions....

Does anyone know why they cancelled the Baths excursion? I'm reading the thread about the excursions on Tortola and am starting to get worried. Folks on the recent Dolphin excursions said that there was a strange algae in the water that caused very itchy rashes if you came contact with it.

So I'm wondering what's going on with the excursions in Tortola???

Spent the day shopping. I love holiday sales and now i have clothes that fit and are not falling off of me. Dragged poor Matt with us he walked behind like a good brother carrying the bags and entertaining everyone by making animal noises. Sometimes i swear we are not related.

I'm going shopping with my mom on Monday. Of course, since I've been back in the U.S., my old clothes are starting to not "fall off" anymore! Uh oh!!!!

I picked up a couple of dresses for dd today at Sears. they are very cute! didn't find anything for me.

I cleaned the house today so dd and I can go up north tomorrow. As I was cleaning dd toilet tank I dropped something behind the tank and wall and guess what happened. it hit the spot where the hose goes into the wall and water is going every where. dh turned off the water to the house. We got it all cleaned up and dh is going to fix it. the pipe crumbled in his hands. He was able to fix it. thank goodness. it was kind of a blessing could you imagine if that the pupe would have burst if we were not home. It would have been a major disaster. so far all is well.

DD and I also went shopping today... she got 2 sun dresses for the cruise, then we had to find the perfect necklaces/earrings/bracelets to go with each of them.....

My DD is on her best friend's boat until Sunday afternoon. She called tonight and seemed a little homesick. Hmmmm...that's odd. I miss her. This house is very loney without the family. I hope they are all healthy. A dear old friend called me tonight. We talked for over 3 hours. It was just like we were teenage girls again.

The weather was beautiful here today. In the mid 70s with a light breeze. Hard to believe it is July.

Back to putting together the FEs...............

My DD was in our local Target shopping for things for the cruise. She struck up a conversation with a woman who was looking for items for a cruise. It turns out the woman sailing on our cruise! The woman said that maybe they'd see each other on the ship. My DD was so excited that she forgot to get any other info. But she'll certainly keep an eye out on the ship for this woman and her little girl.

We finally got the suitcases out. I have piles of stuff everywhere.

We're staying home today. The kids are having their friends over for a barbecue later and my mom is coming over. We might go to a minor league baseball game tonight. THe Staten Island Yankess play near here. It's always a great time.

Every year the Charlotte Knights which is the Chicago White Sox AAA team plays at home on the 4th and they have a big fireworks display. We watch the show at our house because it's so close. When we moved here 11 years ago it was Easter weekend and they had fireworks both that Friday and Saturday. DD was only 4 at the time and she asked if there would be fireworks every night.
