How do you know they're on the truck? I just looked on the DCL website and noticed they have the old zipcode for us. The post office changed it a few years ago. Do you think that would make a difference?

When I plug in our info-they left Jacksonville yesterday morning and should be delivered Monday .

 Got the call we've been waiting for a few minutes ago......We got the last available time for the private room in Palo for brunch.

Thursday, July 23
10:30 AM

Here is the group I have on my list:
disnutz (2)
Tia (2)
luv2boys (2)
Ramule (2)
Noahsmom (2)
SC Minnie/SC Duckman (2)
Dizzyworld (1)

There is space for one more person.

*** Remember DCL will cancel your other brunch reservation if you are holding one. The group reservation will not show up on your plans list.

PERFECT!! This is when we had our brunch reserved. I'm so happy it's not the same day as our Palo dinner.

Thank you so much for organizing this!:worship:

I was hoping it would be this day also. I had tea planned for that day, but since they've made so many changes and it is so un-tea-like, I was planning on canceling it anyway. The last time I had tea they decided that this particular time they couldn't acommodate my shellfish allergy. So they went to Goofy's Galley, and got my "tea" sandwiches from there. I felt so left out of the group. While I appreciated their effort not to kill me, it had never been a problem before. I've looked at the current pictures of tea and they are now little rolls instead of dainty sandwiches. :confused3

Wait up-----what am I missing? You plugged your info in where? I want to know this, too.:snooty:

Oh my gosh!

http://dearmissmermaid.com/Blog/index.html

you gotta read Ms Mermaid's post for today... I'd cut and paste it, but it is very PG13 today... but it is a riot!

Okay - I'm in the computer science field, so *I* think its a riot!

She is interesting. I saw that she wrote a book too. I copied her post and sent it to a few friends. I also see that we will miss the Tortola Festival by a week. Oh well......

THANK YOU to who ever gave up their Palo brunch. I snagged the Monday at 11am for dh and me, and then my parents have the 10:30am on Thursday. They don't know it, since they are out for the evening, but they will be thrilled!:cheer2: I am doing the happy dance!!!:banana::cool1:

We haven't recieved our docs yet, hopefully the TA will call us on Monday.

We got our docs today too! :cool1: Somehow I'll have to keep my 2nd graders busy for 4 more days- we don't get out of school until Thursday. Then I can really start planning/packing!

Hi all! We're back in the U.S. now - finally. I am not looking forward to doing that trip again. YUCK!!!!

Not to bore everyone, so I'll only touch on the highlights (or should I say lowlights?:sad2:)

1) DH still recovering from bout with Malaria - tired, headaches, but officially parasite free according to Dr. and able to travel.
2) Cat decides to run away as we are loading the car - spend next two hours looking for her and finally had to give up and leave the country without her.:sad1:
3) DD7 doesn't travel well and left the proof all over DD5 half way across the Atlantic!
4) Forgot all DD2's pacifiers so she screamed for 3 hours on the overnight flight. I could feel the cold nasty stares from fellow travelers.:guilty:
5) Lost DD5 blue blankie, which she has had since she was born. :scared:
6) Mean flight attendent who refused DD5's desperate bathroom pleas before initial descent because we were preparing to land - we landed an hour and a half later because of weather delays.:scared1:

Good news - we didn't loose any luggage! :thumbsup2 Always a silver lining.

Glad I got caught up on the boards - we are really a chatty bunch!!! ;)

We did have docs waiting for us when we arrived - that was pretty cool!:woohoo:

But I'm confused - the second brunch group has confirmation, but nothing for the first??? :confused3

FE - prefer to go at our own pace (which means I need to step it up in order to get it all done). :flower3:

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer now! We're still handling jet lag - but enjoying all the wonderful shopping and food available here! Girls have all picked out their new bedroom stuff and got new shoes and some clothes. We have eaten McD's, BBQ, & Olive Garden. So much for that weight loss!!!:rolleyes1 Girls are begging for IHOP or Duncan Donuts tomorrow. We'll see....

Well, need to sleep! Talk soon!

Joann

That was quite the trip. I hope you have a fun relaxing time since you were so busy before you left your recent home. Welcome back.

I have no idea why we were called about the brunch. Maybe your group person wasn't home when DCL made the call. Perhaps on Monday?

Sorry - I tried to abreviate because I was posting from the itouch. Go to ups.com. Put your Disney Cruise reservation number in under tracking and your zip code and it comes up with the tracking info for you documents.

That's what I get for being too lazy to turn the laptop back on.

We're expecting more rain again today. Hopefully we can get some of the hedges trimmed before it starts again. It's starting to look like a tropical rainforest around here.

Does UPS deliver on Saturday? I just checked and the docs arrived in Saddle Brook yesterday at 11:37 pm. That is the last stop before they go out for delivery. Maybe they'll come today!!!!

Very happy about brunch!!! Thanks Shirley!!!

Guess what, I GOT OUR DOCS YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::dance3:

wooooo hooooo! Ready to go now baby!!!!!

We received our documents yesterday too! Ashley's were sent to her home - not sure how they did that as I don't remember giving them her address...

Lauren, our little traveler is off to camp.... She got home Thursday night late from a week at the beach with Ashley.... and left early today for a week at Lake Champion.... I wish that I could go for a week at that camp... it looks fun... She had another week at the beach scheduled - but it looks like dance is going to get in the way of that....

I am so in need of this cruise/vacation!

Joann - so sorry about your cat. It does sound like you had a long flight.... When my son Jason returns from England (he's in the Air Force) he makes the rounds of FastFood too - his favorite is Wendy's for a spicy chicken sandwich....

We honeymooned in the Poconos.:blush:

We stayed at the Stricklands resort. Had our own "cabin". Unfortunately, by the time we arrived (after driving from WI) the cabin we had booked (yes it had a heart shaped whirlpool) was not available so we got an upgrade, this cabin was a bigger split level but the whirlpool was just a full size rectangluar shape. In fact is was so big that if we sat in opposite corners our toes barely touched.

I remember DH dropped the bubbles into the whirlpool - there was bubbly foam EVERYWHERE!! :rotfl:

We also honeymooned in the Poconos, at Birchwood. Stricklands was our second choice. We had our own cabin, too. Wow, that brings back memories. :cloud9:

JoAnn #1, did we hear about the Palo brunch for the first group yet? I've been skipping around the posts and might have missed it.

Thanks for the tracking info. Ours is in our local UPS office and is scheduled for a Mon. delivery. I could walk there and back faster....... :rotfl2:

Welcome home, JoAnn & Aaron. Wow, what a trip that must have been. At least your docs were waiting. :cheer2:

No worries. Thanks! Mine is scheduled for delivery on Monday.
I wonder what all of us will be doing four SHORT weeks from today????:cool1:
