Thanks for the reminder......I forgot about the Studio Sea location!!

Question, should we be wearing something or sharing something or doing something at the meet so that everyone comes (or many people come?) I've been reading the last few Tortola threads and everyone is saying that they wished they had met people but they loved their FEs. Is there something we could do to ensure good participation?:cool1::thumbsup2

Also, our brunch time (Group #1) should be assigned in the next 10 days or so.:woohoo:

* Isn't the meet when eveyone is wearing their shirts etc. with the group logo?

* Our new name tags for 2009:

* On one cruise we did a pre-cruise gift for $20 or less to send to their home something to get the other person/family excited about the cruise. That was fun to do. On a really bad day in my life, we got this large package from Ireland. I couldn't figure out who we knew in Ireland that would be sending us anything. It was a DISer. It was so much fun to get this package. So doing this at the DIS meet would be a fun version of this.

* I hope if our Brunch Group #2 is given a time that it isn't the same time as the Castaway Club get-together.

Right now I would be happy just to know which floor we are on. I'm not sure I would do the gty reservation. Not sure if anyone has read or should read the thread "How often do they change the comforters." Maybe I should pack a gallon or so of lysol too!!

I sure wish I knew my cabin number! If you're gonna get all that in 2 suitcases you better use those space bags. They do help! Just on ur last night you'll have to get the cabin steward to loan u his vacuum! Aren't the kids allowed suitcases on the flight back 2 the states?

Coming back to the US isn't a problem - we get 10 bags - but when we fly to CO, TX, and FL all of the airlines charge for the first bag!!! With 5 of us, I can't afford a bag a piece and still have money for my Konk Kooler at CC!!!! :rotfl: I'm hoping to mail a small box to the ship and pack an empty duffle for the trip to the ship, then I'll pay for that bag on the flight back to DC.

This trip is WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY too complicated!!!!:scared1::scared1:

That would be "Mission Impossible" for me. At least your girls are young and wear little clothes but it will be tough!! Will you be in the states early enough to buy some of the clothing on this end? Maybe you could pack easier that way. Either way, gotta have konk koolers mmmm!;)

How in the world do you pack everything into 2 bags for a family. There are only three of us but i bet anything we will have six pieces of luggage plus some small carry on's plus a box of my medical supplies. This is why we drive the 13hrs. I'm already dreading trying to pack for next summers trip and trying to get everything i need into one bag.

I'm in so much trouble, the past few cruises dh and I have done have been out of Galveston. 25 minutes travel time and we can take whatever we wish...:lmao:

Truthfully, he does the packing - so, if you see me teetering on 4 inch heels, you'll know I didn't get to sneak in the flats...:lmao:

I guess if they have started offering upgrades, they are having trouble filling the ship. The chances of our family being upgraded is just about zero, because we requested the connecting rooms. There are so few connecting rooms available that they fill up easily.

I guess I have to eat my words, but I'm more than happy to do so in this case. Today I got an e-mail from our DU travel agent offering us an upgrade from cat 9 rooms to cat 6. I thought, surely she can't mean connecting cat 6 rooms - there can't be any still available. Lo and behold, there was one pair of connecting cat 6 rooms left. So we snagged them. $600 to upgrade two rooms, but worth it I think. This will be our first time with a veranda. New room assignments are 6072 and 6074.

I'm actually surprised at how many connecting rooms there are on board. I guess I had only previously looked at cat 8 and 9 before. But there looks to be 22 pairs of connecting rooms at the cat 6 level alone.

Oh, and these are for DW who said I had to use a smily on this post.
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I'm figuring that we will be doing a lot of laundry along the way. ;)

Will probably bring back empty suitcases with us to the U.S. and fill them up to take back to Kampala. We'll leave as many as we can in DC with the in-laws.

HEY Y"ALL - DH has some GREAT NEWS@@@

I asked our travel agent if she knew how Disney picks who they offer upgrades to. She sais they had no idea. But she added that the charge for upgrades is a new thing that they started just a couple months ago. I wonder how often they have people turn them down due to the $300 charge.

Never would have dreamed they'd offer connecting room upgrades!!!!

That's great y'all were able to upgrade! Because we booked with points we have to wait until we get to the port to try and upgrade. To do it before hand means canceling our current ressie and rebooking which ends up costing more money and points then just waiting and praying we can upgrade.

I'm playing around with a new gizmo tonight. A demo of a tubeless insulin pump it's kind of neat and the best part is it's waterproof which means not having to worry about beach days. Hopefully I'll have it by the cruise if my Dr approves the switch.
