Congratulations on your progress :scared: Good luck on the ressies.

To our TX friends wash those hands and stay away from people that are coughing :scared1: This is from a message the commissioner sent to all of headquarters here at SSA. There are about 12,000 people in the complex, this isn't going to be easy. :rolleyes1

:wizard: Here is a magic spell to keep everyone safe.

So, today we had a rain day from school. I truly feel bad for those that had flooded homes or flooded cars, but today was a good break for me - it was the first time I have had a day off all month - this has been a busy month with UIL competitions during the weekends, and getting students ready to take AP exams. So.. today, I got ALL my laundry done, got all my ironing done (yes, I even ironed the T-shirts!!), vacuumed the floors, moved winter clothes out of the closets and summer clothes into the closets, and have a ham in the oven now for when DH gets home. DD went over to a friends to do a Disney movie marathon, and I even took a 45 minute power nap.

I’m grateful for this mini vacation day today.

79 more days to a bigger vacation.....

I hope you are all dried out today! What are they doing about TAKS tests? The weather has been so wacky the past two weeks!

Hey guys!

Just to let you know, Dorothy is our Group Specialist for our meet and she is working on getting us into Studio Sea for our Meet on Sunday. She will let me know asap if that is possible and their is no charge for the space itself, but if we wanted to add special activities then it will be quite a little bit of money.

So we can all rejoice that we may be getting Studio Sea after all. :cheer2::banana::woohoo:

Thanks for taking this on, Dorothy!

My son works in downtown Houston and his work was cancelled last night .too, due to flooding. He said the water on his street was halfway up his mailbox post.

They just shifted everything by one day - which is okay, but it means on Monday AP Goverment and TAKS will be going on at the same time - since most seniors are not TAKS testing, the only problem this brings is the overflow room. The overflow room (those students still taking the TAKS test at 11:30), will now have AP test takers in it, so they have to find a new secure room for overflow.

Now, what I am not sure about is the high school that still did not open today - we had one in our school district - I'm not sure what they are going to do for that school.

(oops, sorry - I'm in my daughters account LOL!)

I am in meetings this week in Hartford CT. 220 of us in a room all eating from a buffet for 3 days, from all around the country. I fear the worst!

Mythbusters just did an episode on double dipping a couple weeks ago to see if there was actually any truth to it... havnt gotten around to watching it though, its still sitting on my DVR

Guess its better to just be safe till we find out the truth.

We saw that episode too. It was interesting.

I cant wait... it's starting to get really humid here, we've had 3 freak thunderstorms in the past 3 weaks that dumped insane amounts of water. We got stranded in one of them for a couple hours waiting for the water to go down so we could make it home.

I'm busy at work, even busier at home, going not stop 18 hours a day and still cant keep up with everything.... I'm too young to be this warn out and I this cruise just cant get here soon enough!

I posted this once already but it was for my cruise next year, Oops... that one definately wont be here soon enough. As a matter of fact we have too much wedding stuff to plan, so that one can take its time.

We can't wait either.... Hopefully you'll keep the wine dry...

There was a discussion this week on that show called "The Doctors." They talked about double dippers at parties and about the 5 second rule for dropping food on the floor. They said to avoid both! I must admit double dipping is a bit on the gross side, and the 5 second rule too!!

:hug:Hope everyone in Texas dries out soon.

JoAnn #1, it must be such a relief to finally have everything settled. Good luck with your ressies!
