OK I'm glad we are not getting anywhere near 104 but as much as I hate snow i would love anything that would cool us off a little. We are normally still in the 70's maybe lower 80's not the upper 80's low 90's like we are now. I need a tropical breeze and a cold frozen drink.

Spent the day driving Allison to Cape May. She will be there for a few days with my neighbor/Godmother and her extended family. Great house.
Sleeps 15. It was a long drive up and back today (about 8 hours due to a few stops). I'm glad to be out of the car. Alex and I listened to DCL music both ways. I pretty much drove him batty.

About the weather there.....it has been in the low 70s and cloudy. The Jersey water hasn't warmed up yet, and the clouds are not helping. The group is suffering from lack of tan time. Alli doesn't mind. A cloudy day at the beach is better than no day at the beach. She dropped off her bags, changed, and went to the beach with the other girls. She said she had lots of fun. Poor dear.

A record setting day here in Houston. 104 degrees was the high today.

....and as the weatherman said, not a chance for snow in sight (I think he meant to say rain LOL!)
:scared1:
I think we will have a meet every night in the Rockin D Bar.:thumbsup2:cool1::rolleyes1
Souinds great!:cool1:
Good news all!

Dear Kitty - Patches - finally made it home today. She came home the day after we left Burkina and our neighbor took her in. A colleague flew back to DC today and brought her with him. She was stressed and not really a happy camper, but made it in one piece.

She's at the vet's now preparing for her spaying surgery tomorrow. Looking forward to getting her settled again. Poor thing! It's been a tough week!!!

So glad your kitty was found!

My DD is graduating high school tomorrow. It's an outside ceremony and it's supposed to be nice- no rain! We're having 50 people at the house on Saturday for her party. My son is coming from Houson( he's looking forward to cooler weather!) and my sister and her family from Virgina. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a nice weekend.

After this weekend I can really concntrate on cruise plans.

I would like to do the galley tour again too. It's been a long time since the last one. I don't think the kids remembered the tour? I also want to do the backstage tour if offered. I only wish my Ds was old enough to go. Next time....

I've never gone to any of the tastings. This might be something new to do. This past winter I started doing tastings at the local vineyard. I didn't learn a darn thing (that I remember) but I had a great time. Every weekend was something special like wine and chocolate or wine and chili. Lots of fun. That reminds me I have a bottle of ice wine still left from tha last visit. CYA.........;)

Rainy here AGAIN...14 out of last 16 days

I soooooo want to live in the south

It was a hot day here in MI. 94 degrees. Downtown is packed for the fireworks. Glad I left work early to get out of there.

Wendy - congrats on your daughter graduating!

Ok all - heading out in the a.m. She actually doesn't dance til tomorrow night, so we waited an extra day.

Lucy - my DH is trying to convince us to take 81/80 instead of the 222. I may just do that, but come home the other way. Not sure - but I will pm you!!!!

Have fun everyone - will probably miss the next race!

Trying to catch up with you guys! WOW!!:scared1:

Glad the cat made it back to the good ole USA! Not much of a cat person, but I know the kids have to be elated!:wizard:

Worked on FE thing lately but still haven't finished. Still have magnets to make, among other things!

I have been working for a local attorney this week while he is on vacation. I basically answer the phone. I finished the 'project' he left me and am free to read or whatever. Between the nice lunch DH bought me, warm temps and my book, I thought I was going to sleep!!:scared1:

Congrats.........tomorrow is THREE WEEKS!!!!!!!!!! (for us)

I haven't tried it yet. I got one as a free sample. I've used the off lamp before and that seems to work pretty well. I really hate spraying myself with this stuff considering what they say about deet. You put the strip in like you do for the lamp and there is a fan that disperses it.

Does it have smell to humans or just insects?
