Quick question. Does anybody know if there is a beach in Sardinia that is near the port? We would like to spend an hour or two at a beach but did not want to book an excursion. That way when we are ready to head back we can and are not stuck there all day.

Lissa,
I found out that there is a beach 7kms from the port in Sardinia. It is called Pittullongu Beach. It is walking distance but if I recall correctly it was said that the roads were not very safe (perhaps no sidewalks??). I plan to go to that beach. I contacted a taxi company and they would be able to take us and bring us back. It's called Just Sardinia. You can find them on the internet!! I suppose that there will also be taxi's at the port when we arrive, the problem might be getting back!!

Has anyone done a Disney cruise with a toddler or baby aged 2 or younger b4? Is there a lot to keep them entertained? Seems like most activities are geared toward older (age 3+) kids, no?

Plus, I'm just curious to meet other parents of young ones since we'll be "in the same boat" (bad pun)!

My husband & I are first-time cruisers bringing our daughter who will be 26 months at cruise time. Are we crazy to have booked a 12 hour day in Rome?! Probably - but there's so much to see!

Where (if anywhere) have you been in Europe? Yes, in many times in Spain, France but we never been in Barcelona!! DH's had only been in Paris twice, Corfu and often in Spain. We went to Ireland often as we have our friend who lives in Ireland. Belfast and Dublin!! We went to Holland and Crete.

Where (if anywhere) have you been in Europe? Live in the UK, Been to Paris a number of times, and other bits of France too, both northern and southern Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Denmark, Ireland. I've also driven through Belgium and Switzerland too but I don't think that counts!
Which port are you most looking forward to? Naples, we tried to go there when we went to Italy but could find NOOOO parking. After driving around for an hour we gave up and went home. Looking forward to actually seeing the place this time!

As you were mention that Is any one else leaving their kids in the kids club while they are doing excursions? We are for the Naples day and La Spezia. I hope they do well. We are getting soooooo excited!

Well We are going to Stunning Sorrento and Amaifi Coast Drive and Evening Casino at Villefranche.

We are leaving our kids in the kids club while we are going to Naples and Evening Casino.

We think that kids will enjoy the club better than tour in Naples.

As last year, I could not get my son out of the club for dinner/meal.
mil and husband had been trying to take out but no he stayed in kid club all day and night!! He said that it was best and funny well. So we know that they will enjoy it.

I have just looked at my reservation and there is nothing about the Chocolate Museum being cancelled so I have just emailed DCL to see if they can tell me what is going on.

I loved reading the info you posted on the excursions, dining and childrens activities it all sounds fantastic.

Thanks for this nzdisneymom , it wil be exciting to read the trip report as they are sailing. I hope someone does this for the first cruise from Barcelona so we will know exactly what to expect and can maybe pick up some hints and tips.
