Bethany---love the shirt! Once again, I mistook something on the shirt for something else(aka the golden mikey ears for an egg). Anyway, I thought the mickey hat on the cake was a face.... Silly me.

I have made a door sign and an iron for us. If I can figure out how to post it here, I will. Getting really excited now. This time next week we will be in Disneyland!!!!!

I think it's going to be packed. It seems like everybody and there brother is going. I was reading a DL comments, people are planning to campout. You might only get to ride 3 or 4 rides. People were complaining about the rudeness of people and getting their feet ran over by strollers people cutting in line...
If I was you since you live pretty close, I would do it another time of year.
Last time we went (which was a looong time ago) we went the weekend before Christmas and there were very little crowds. If you like all the people,
anyways its up to you all.

PClaire, there is a new excursion, the deluxe beach break or something like that, I believe its at a place called Nikki resorts. Its either 69 or 59. I heard Nikki resort is something else. A beatiful spot. I have to see if anybody is planning on going because my dd that doesn't get to go with us, her name is Nikki.I thought it would be cute to get her the shirt if they have them.
We are planning to snorkel but we are going to wait til we get there to reserve. We are just doing it privately. It's way cheaper, but someone said the vendors are lined up to get your business. It's just the DB in Cabo so I don't think we'll have a hard time finding one. Prices range from 30. to 50.

Anyway, can't wait to get there.

Our room is 2126. We are neighbors with Northerncalgal.
So we will be coming to check out everybodies room!!! lol
Just tell me the cabin doesn't matter all that much.
We are aft so a quick hop up to the secret deck isn't out of the question!
Just looking forward to getting there and not having to wait on anybody!
Our year has been really hard and I need a vacation. I told hubby I am not doing laundry and not waiting on him or the kids. DD is 16 she can do her own, DS is doing better and can wait on himself, and hubby is too used to me doing everything for him sooooo.....he can do something for me for a change besides work and give me his check. lol

Hi Donnetta - I PMed you about the photos. Don't know how much it will help....but give it a try. That's not "mickey ears" it's a very large "chocolate chip". Mickey ears would be copywritten by some company??? Maybe the big D???

Patti - I might be in need of a lawyer if the "chocolate chip" defense doesn't work. Really though I only did them for my family and any friends from here that want to order. I don't make any $$ on them, though I'm sure cafepress does. They have it so you can set the "shops" at whatever price you want above cost. So there are quite a few people making money on their own designs. Cafepress send out checks to the "shop" owners when purchases are made. It's quite a neat operation if you have a cool t-shirt design. Someone is even selling a FREE KATIE t-shirt.

Are you guys coming straight in from Denver the day of cruise? Or earlier?

Michele - Cool you got your room assignment! I'll update you on the list. We have annual passes to DL and probably go at least 12 times sometimes more a year. I know...spoiled rotten!!! So I'm not worried about getting on rides, just thinking we might soak up the atmosphere of the birthday bash the day before the cruise.

Hey guys. I know I've been MIA, but I just read through the thread and tried to get up to date. We received our docs one week ago today. Very exciting! I also ordered airplane tickets today for myself and my younger son as we have decided not to fly standby. The flights were becoming too crowded for my taste. Now I guess I'd better make a hotel reservation. If we stay in long beach, will it be a short cab ride to the ship? Any recommendations?

Hey Amie - Welcome back! I'll update you on the list... My family + are staying at the Holiday Inn in San Pedro, they are 1 mile from port and offer parking (for the cruise) and a shuttle van to the ship. If you want their info I can post just lmk. I think there are a couple others that live near Long Beach that might be able to reccommend a hotel close to the airport. Not sure about kids/boys and dinner dress code , anyone?

Now the only one MIA is dumontmicheal/Karen and our little group will be complete. Any lurkers out there that want to say hello...we're still doing t Scoops, Sunday @ 3:00PM

Sorry for not posting earlier! I've been busy at work and at home trying to get back on track after my hubbie's accident. BTW, thank you all for your concern! He's doing well now; he didn't need an eye patch (since his eye was not damaged), but he now has 2 titanium plates in his jaw (thank goodness we're not flying-I wouldn't want to worry about his face going off during security!).

Welcome back, esmarelda! It should be a 20-30 minute ride from Long Beach to San Pedro. I like the Long Beach Marriot (the one by the Long Beach airport). I've stayed there many times myself and it is right by the freeway (although you will hear some airport noise). There are also nice hotels in downtown Long Beach-they, too, are freeway close and a straight shot to San Pedro over the Vincent Thomas Bridge. If you're coming in a day or two early, then the downtown area will offer you more things to do.

Love the shirt, DisneyTart!! I wish I were that creative!

Lastly, has anyone looked at the Mazatlan Frank thread today? In a nutshell, he said that since this is the busy season for Mexican resorts, a large group showing up at El Cid may not be accomodated (at least that's how I'm reading it). Someone take a look and let me know what you think.

Amie**the kids usually dress for dinner as well. Nothing fancy unless it is formal night. Just no shorts or swim suits. A lot of the little girls wear their princess dresses and the little boys are usually in dockers and a shirt. We have not cruised since they changed the dress policy to include jeans.

Bethany***I signed up for the photobucket so now I need to take my photo and post it. Great "chocolate chips" or cool "face" whatever works for you.

Michele***great news on the cabin assignment. I forgot to tell you that our timer is correct...we leave one week from today. This time next week we will be in Disneyland

Hi cherta, from the way I look at it you just have to buy some lunch and drinks from the hotel and they don't care if your'e there or not. I saw that you are thinking of renting the room? I don't think you should spend the extra $ for that but that is your choice. Maybe don't all walk in together. lol

I know all the other west coast cruisers know when their formal and semi-formal nights are. Do you all happen to know when you guys will be doing these nights on the 6-night cruise? My friends will be on this cruise with you and I told her I would check it out for her. She is trying to get on the boards and introduce herself to you all.

We don't know yet. But I am guessing that Monday will be formal night with the Golden Mickey's Menu and Thursday will be semi-formal with the Captain's Gala menu. This is only a guess, as I have asked DCL and they will only say that there will be a formal, semi-formal, and tropical night.

Hi Donnette - Great sign & t-shirt...That is one big green Mickey Head! Very cool! I like the map of where we are going also. GOOD job at posting the photos!

I think our guesses on the evenings (semi, formal,gala,pirate) are correct. Or at least I hope they are. They are the most logical choices. We have Palo scheduled for Thursday (lobster night) . My Dbro wants to change it but I don't mind having lobster at Palo. It's scheduled for 6:30 & the sunsets at 6:45. Of course that's the day we do horseback riding in Cabo, I may need a stretcher to take me into Palo.

Sorry I have been so busy playing playing nurse to my husband and daughter that is took my hour lunch hour today to catch up to you guys. We also spent the weekend in New York helping my brother pack to move to Florida and then in my spare time we are preparing for my daughter's Pool Party tomorrow with her friends in the middle of Tropical Storm Cindy.

We are in Cabin 8084 my name is Karen, my husband is Mike (we are both 40) and our daughter Ashley will be 11 on July 19th.

We fly out on Saturday and are staying at the Long Beach Marriot and coming from Boston, Massachusetts.

Hi Karen - No apology neccessary...just glad you are still cruising . How is your DH after his acccident? Is your daughter's finger healing okay? Hope the pool party works out and you get lots of .
You're on the same deck as my brother & family (he's a lurker who has never posted). His oldest daughter just turned 9 , she and Ashley will have to meet.
