July 15-22 2006 Western Anyone?

I think the bus ride is about 45 minutes. :moped: :moped:

You'll be OK - I know it's nice to be there early but boarding isn't until 12 so you'll miss the big crowd in the terminal and you can't get in the staterooms anyway. And hey, you got a free room! :woohoo:

Not sure anyone addressed this and now that we are getting close to 1000 posts :cool1: I don't want to go back and do a search.

As official members of overpackers anonymous, we have determined that is is OK (2-4-6-8, as long as we make it through the gate!) to overpack and there is room for all our stuff in the staterooms.... but where do we store the suitcases?

Off to the $1 store, anyone need anything? :drive: :drive:

Hello, I was on the Disney Magic 7/1 - 7/8, when Pirartes of the Caribbean 2 premiered. Unfortunately, the opening day pins were not loaded on the ships until 7/6, so we didn't get the chance to buy them.

I tried calling guest services (after the email address they gave me bounced!), but it doesn't look like they can help me, as the pins have been loaded and can't be exported back into the US (just sold to guests onboard).

C an anyone please check if these pins are still available? I'll gladly Paypal you the cost of a few (or even one!).

Thanks!

I can check for you! Not sure they'll let us buy opening day pins since it's not opening day, but I'll sure check. How many did you need?

Under the bed. You may need to lift the edge of the bed to get under the frame, but once past the frame, there is enough height to store regular suitcases. Also the top shelf of the closet might fit some (but the life vests are normally stored up there, so then you have to find a spot for them.)

I have heard that they fit nicely under the bed. I will probably just use the boys room, that way our room can be clutter free. They won't care. They do well in chaos.

It's okay to overpack. It's okay to overpack. It's okay...oh, hi, sorry about that..uh-um It's official, 6 suitcases being checked and one carry-on, plus the kids with their carry-ons, plus my purse (more a tote, :rolleyes1).

2-4-6-8-as long as we make it through the gate! :teeth:

We are staying at Wilderness Resort the night before the cruise. It was a freebie night from my mother-in-law. Because the bus was free, we decided to go with that. Unfortunately, we won't be arriving early and I'm kind of bummed about that. I was told the bus will pick us up at 11:45. Does anyone know how long the drive is to the port?

We are at the Beach Club Friday night and we are being picked up at 11am. I wonder if it's the same bus that makes the rounds through all the resorts? Ya think? I'll be the one wearing 12 layers of clothes to avoid suitcase #7. :rotfl:

It looks like we will have 7 bags!! :rolleyes1 In the 7th bag will be a mixed bag of stuff. Plus we will shove a smaller bag inside of it for anything we will buy. I wish I can convince my husband on only one garment bag. What does he put in there anyway??? My garment bag will hold my dress things, Savannah's and Zach's. Go figure. I may even try to rearrange my suitcase and take some things out and get rid of Savannah's suitcase and put her stuff in with mine. OK, it's time to stop thinking about this. I will deal with the 7 bags. Why do I make things so difficult???

I am completely overwhelmed right now. I have 2 large suitcases, 1 small, and a dufflebag like bag that I will go ahead and check in. I am only half packed and they are pretty full as it is.

I did not get any other suitcases because I thought it would be a good way for me to keep it simple, but that was a bad idea. I miscalculated big time.

I have a feeling I will have to be doing some ironing while onboard. DS (18) does his own wash, and I was gathering things to pack. It looks like he has slept in the stuff. :furious: I am just packing it the way it is, and if he wants to iron it, he will have to do it.

Let's hope I can work this out, or I will be heading to Kohls for another suitcase. I really do not want to do that. I would rather do a little bit of wash, believe it or not.

I hope you all are better at this packing thing. :thumbsup2

Hi, this is skminnies mom. We are all packed. DD15 is currently at Sea World
Orlando, in an advance career camp program for teens. Will be picking her up at 10:00 am saturday morning, then heading straight for the ship! Just saw on St. Thomas web site, the Magic leaving port. Soon we'll be there!

It sounds like you can use that margarita now. :)

You would think I would have this packing thing down pack by now since this is our 4th cruise. I have given up at this point!!! I decided it is what it is. I have everything but the kitchen sink.

As for ironing, what is that? I don't do it at home so why should I start. I picked up some Downey wrinkle release and that seems to do the trick. (for suitcase wrinkles)

Don't fret, everything will come together. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Shoot, my husband hasn't even begun to pack. He hasn't even gotten his things together and he's not even stressing one bit. Why can't I be more like that???
