July 13, 2015 Alaska!

Hi,

We just came off the Wonder yesterday and booked this cruise while onboard. I will be traveling with my DH, DS-12 and DS-16. Can't wait!!

Greetings! We just booked and this will be my very first cruise ever - I am so excited!

In my cabin it will be myself and 2 children -DS Jeremy 9 and DD Leia 6. We have a bunch of family booking too, but it don't expect any of them to be on the Dis...

I am looking forward to it and any advice this group has!

Hi!

We booked this cruise the date it opened! Finally feel like it's happening. This is our 2nd Alaskan cruise. DS picked Alaska. We will be celebrating his h.s. grad & more importantly to him: his 1st time at Palo. FINALLY! :goodvibes

It will be me, DH (a belated 50th bday celebration, since he wanted nothing for his bday except this cruise), DS 18 (graduation cruise), & DS (15).

Hoping to find someone for DS 15 especially to hang out w/ via this group.

We'll also be cruising w/ some good friends we met via our Tortola cruise. This will be our 4th cruise together. :yay::cool1::thumbsup2 We live in different states, so we usually only see each other at WDW or on the cruise.

Looking forward to Alaska. We loved it so much in 2011, that we're going back!

Welcome!! My family is dvc too, and we live in the NW suburbs of IL (Cary)! where are you at?

this is our first alaskan cruise, and this summer my dd Katie will be 15 and ds Josh, 17. would your son be open to talking to a girl? LOL Katie has been asking if there are any teens on the ship to get to know...she's not allowed to date yet, but has friends that are boys. :)

we are all excited to see alaska!

Laurie

Unfortunately, posts have been removed from a number of Cruise Meets threads including this one.

PLEASE review the Cruise Meet Policy regarding Cruise Meet and Fish Extender programs. - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3353477

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions, etc.).

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.

Enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Hello! We just rescheduled our cruise to this one (law school in summer, bleh). Me, 29, and my mom are going! She's been wanting to go to Alaska since I was little but of course that was right after Titanic came out so I was convinced we'd hit an iceberg :rotfl: Finally taking a cruise for some bonding time after a busy year of wedding, moving, and law school!

Has anyone heard about the FE for this??

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS.

Welcome Charmed! We're happy to have you!

Hi,

We're looking forward to our third cruise. We have two boys, who will be 10 and 7. The eldest will be going into sixth grade though, so I'm hopeful he'll be able to bump up into the next kids group. It seems like there is no set way to know whether that will be allowed.

I do hope someone volunteers to organized FE. We don't participate because, frankly, we barely have time to get packed and go on vacation--no time for extras. But, we always enjoy walking around the ship and seeing everyone else's displays and gifts.

Brand new to the board, but love the idea of getting to know folks before we sail. My husband and I will be there with our 4 kids (15,13,9,4). This is only our second Disney cruise but we are so psyched! Also very intrigued by the idea of the fish extender. If no one else has volunteered (if I'm not missing something) I would be happy to jump in and start keeping "The List." If there are any pointers or advice to be offered in managing this process, please feel free to send it my way!

Also brand new to board, not sure about protocol, so any advice is appreciated. My parents are taking our whole family on our first Disney cruise for their 50th anniversary!
Traveling in our group are 2 girls (11), and 2 boys (9 & 12) and 6 adults. We are all from the Chicago suburbs. What is a fish extender?? Looking forward to the cruise!

I have 13 & 15 year old daughters who would love to get to know someone before sailing...

We booked yesterday too! It will be my husband, daughter (12 at sailing), my mom and myself. First time on the Wonder since 2005. Seventh cruise for my DH and myself, sixth for DD and first for my mom.

If anyone is interested in doing an FE group I can get it rolling. I'm making a new FE just for the cruise :-)

Thanks! Rosemary

Are you keeping a FE list, then? If not, I'd be happy to do it as well.... let me know.

Hi, Everyone! I'm so excited - we just booked this trip for me, dh & ds (12yrs)! We did a Disney cruise in 2010 on the Magic (it was when they filmed AFHV's 100th episode!) and have been dying to return - have sailed on other lines since 1996 (35 times including Alaska, Baltics, Africa, Panama Canal, Caribbean, Mediterranean) and went to Alaska before ds was born -- but SO excited to do Alaska with him on Disney! (DH doesn't really 'get' the Disney Magic, so he's content to sail with anyone -- I'm picky & have created a monster with DS! He's a Disney Addict!)
We live in NY, have AP's for WDW and are going to DL after we return from Vancouver. Just did Disneyland Paris this February - now saving for Asia :)
Can't wait to be on the Wonder!
~Randi

Please add me to the Fish Extender group!!! Two adults, one 12yo boy who adores Goofy :)
email is: BrucesHarmonica@gmail.com
thanks :)

Our family will be joining you for our first cruise: DH, DW, DD6 and DS4 (shhh...it's a surprise for the kids). This thread is a little empty with info, it seems, with all removed posts. Can someone hook some first-timers up with an FE group?

Hello fellow cruisers! This is my third Disney cruise, and my first time to Alaska and Vancouver. Looking forward to it!

This will be our Family's 3rd Disney Cruise (2nd on the Wonder). My husband and I took a Princess Cruise to Alaska for our Honeymoon the Summer of 2000. We'll also be celebrating my husband's 50th. We'll be traveling with our two daughters (11yrs and 13 yrs). Can't wait for them to see the beauty of Alaska.

Please add my family (2 adults, 11 yr girl, 13 yr. girl) to the main FE group. My email is luvscdl@aol.com This is our first time participating in the FE, so I'm not sure how to plan. How/when will we know how many families are participating?
