I am trying to find someone for my daughter (seems to be plenty of boys on this list, how about some teens?). Anyone else with a Teen Daughter?
Barbara
PS - Thanks for posting this...I CAn't WAIT!!!!!!!!!!
We are going on the July 13-17 Wonder Cruise. We have a daughter that is 14 turning 15 on July 26th. We also have a 12 year old boy that is turning 13 on July 5th. So we will be celebrating two birthdays on our cruise.
DD who is 12 will be 13 six weeks after cruise. We're hoping they'll allow her in teen club because both girls want to be with each other (other DD is 16).
We're the rest of the boy component. DS, 15, 12 & 9!!
We should plan a mini DIS meet somewhere on board! Professorandmom and I were beginning to think we were the only ones!! (Which didn't stop us from planning a Mom's night out!!)
What a great collection of tweens - would anyone be interested in allowing their daughter to correspond with mine (IM is the preferred method by mine) before the cruise? Feel free to send me a PM.
Anyone for selecting a location and time for a meet? Not having been before I am hopeless for suggestions...kjcolv???
A lot of people seem to do their shipboard meet at a place on deck at the sailaway, that way you meet at the start of the cruise and there aren't a hundred other things going on yet!! I've been on the cruise before but never tried to arrange a meet, I think it is worthy of a new post for some of the expereinced cruisers, I will post and report back, Oops I posted on my sons account...He's coming too!!
How many do you have? We found that doing a quick 3:15 meet on embarkation afternoon before the safety drill at 4:00 gave us a chance to meet and say hi, and to make plans to meet later during the cruise. We met outside of Pinocchio's on Deck 9 and probably had 10-15 people during the meeting.
Sorry for not responding sooner. I have been working at the fire station. As for the kids, we have a 17 month old daughter, but will not be traveling with us. We are going with another couple from Houston,Tx and are celebrating our tenth and thier fith anniversary. Both are looking forward to our first Disney Cruise.
The most popular choices seem to be Promenade or The "Secret Verandah" on Deck 7 and most suggested immediately after the muster drill which is around 4:00 I think. Any thoughts??
PS - As we are now less than 60 days out remember you can make some reservations for excusrions etc.!!!
We didn't book anything for Nassau. On Freeport, my mom, myself and DD 9 are going to do the Dolphin Encounter and hubby and dad are going golfing. On Castaway Cay, hubby and dad are going to parasail. We are just going to hang out.
Okay Kids (and moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles....) How about we plan a quick DIS meet at 3:15 Promendae Lounge (Deck 3), then we can trade cabin numbers, dining rotations, make later plans and at least be able to wave to one another during the cruise!! See you all there!!
