**JULY 11, 2010*** Double Dip Wonder!

I think I finally have this all figured out. Whew.
Garry will be gracious enough to pick up Sharon, Kaylah and I at the airport at 11pm on the 22nd.....Sharon suggested maybe trying to find us an earlier flight, and she is WAY TOO EXCITED to get to meet so many of our friends finally!!!....

THEN....the next morning, on the 23rd.....we are hoping to have breakfast with Garry, Vicki, Jim, Sharon, and yes....you and Sam.....and Garry says it's at Grills. I have no idea where that is, or what it is in comparison to JB's.....since I've never been to any of them.

I hope I got this straight.

And by the way Garry...less luggage this time than last time!! :thumbsup2

We sail past Grill's, it's right on the channel. The place with the HUGE party deck with all the people, there's a boat launch ramp next to it. Mary or I'll find you a picture later.

I think they open at 7 am, but then it depends on what time Stacey can get out of bed.

SEVEN O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING!!!!?????????
:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

I guess it depends on how busy the place will be....we don't need to be at the terminal early, we'll board with the other handicap people.....and we're really close, right?

Doesn't 8:30 seem like a more reasonable time for breakfast? Or even 9:00?

I thought I read on the main board that they don't board the handicapped separately any more. I could be wrong.

I don't think we met up at 7. Monica or Laura could correct me if I'm wrong. I know Mark and I went out for a walk on the beach that morning before meeting up. Then I know when we were finished with breakfast we went right to the port and it was just abour ready to open so maybe 9:45 or so. I'd say 8:30 would be a good time especially if you aren't in a hurry to get to the port.

BTW here is a link to Grills site: www.visitgrills.com It will give you an idea of what the place looks like and also a menu.

UTOP!

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

I'm not in a hurry at all. Even when we have boarded early like with concierge, you still can't get into your room until 1:30 or something like that. And if we eat breakfast, I won't be hungry for lunch anyway.
No problem for me if they changed the handicap boarding. I'll just go hunt down people from our thread.
:thumbsup2

We don't have nice name buttons, by the way. :guilty: We all did lime green Mickey heads with our names on them, and will wear them in lanyards.

We didn't do buttons for our April '08 cruise because quite frankly most of the people on the thread were pretty apathetic it about it until the last minute. There were times when I didn't even have to go back 1 page for the weekly countdown.

I did do the web page and talked about doing the buttons in the beginning but with no one really talking I finally just said we wouldn't be doing them. If this group wants them we'll be happy to do it.

I think a few people already asked about them:thumbsup2

I'm pretty excited now about the May cruise. We may be out on that beach at midnight! I never even thought that we'd be anywhere near the water til we hit our first port.

BUTTONS or bracelets - you know - we are with them approach. But only if it is not too much trouble for Mary -

Meanwhile, breakfast time for me is important as to whether I drive up the morning or the night before. Unlike Jim, I do not get on the road at 4 am to meet friends at 7:00.

Ok, found it, here's what Grill's looks like from aboard ship:

I remember seeing that NOW!!! Cool.

Irene, I don't know if this will help or hurt....and I hope gaRry's paying attention. We changed our incoming flight so that we WON'T be arriving at 11:00 Friday night.
We're now coming from Phoenix, through San Antonio, arriving at 6:30 pm on Friday night...Southwest Airlines.
So maybe there will even be a DINNER meeting!?

That just takes all the fun out of it. Waking Sharon up at 4:30 am to go to breakfast is like poking a lion with a stick.

You name the time and we will be there. I'm easy.

If it is late enough it will give us time to run in the morning.

Why not wake up early and run to Grills? :lmao:

Sam's up for a meet - And like Jim he has no problem at getting in the car at 4:30 AM - after all, he says that lets him sleep in :rotfl: Me, I am like Sharon - St. Peter could not get me up that early ------

But now it is 6:30 pm - which means with luggage etc, you will be in Cocoa about 2 hours later....

hum......

Maybe I had better get a room......

Will check and find something the Hedgehog would like -- you know - tacky!!!!!

Mark and Mary - thanks for the info on Grills - I have heard much favourable news but have never been there.....

I cant wait... it's starting to get really humid here, we've had 3 freak thunderstorms in the past 3 weaks that dumped insane amounts of water. We got stranded in one of them for a couple hours waiting for the water to go down so we could make it home.

I'm busy at work, even busier at home, going not stop 18 hours a day and still cant keep up with everything.... I'm too young to be this warn out and I this cruise just cant get here soon enough!

Welcome to my (flooded) world!! There have been times that we can't cross the creek to our house, or from the house...for DAYS! Pain in the neck, isn't it?

And you're right, you're too young to be so worn out. That's what you get for being a rocket scientist with a stressful job.

TWO hours??? Really? I thought the bags came down pretty quickly. Why was I thinking it may only take an hour to get to the hotel?
We'll be starving by then!

Maybe Sharon, Kaylah and I should eat something in the San Antonio airport (if it's even big enough to have food!) and then we can just sit and talk when we get to Florida?
