Good Morning - As you can tell, I am up early......
That is because this is the time of my life that is AJ. You see BJ, I used to sleep late, and have disposable income. Now, up early to power walk, spend the weekend diving, become of foodie, appreciate fine wine, get ready for a cruise......see, no more $$$$.
We had an eventful dive on Monday, it saved us wondering what to do with the day off. Dive boat left at 10:00, I like the 8:30 departure better but then this was a free day.
The weather was nice Sat. and Sun, but this was Monday - raining - luckily the seas had not kicked up (yet). We were drenched before we made it to the dive site. (Nobody told me I would get wet!).
Jim, we are so spoiled on SAt. morning dives, they ran this dive with precision, even checked our gauges; want people to stay together etc. (We found out why).
A diver asked if he could dive with us, he was by himself and wanted to take photos so he tended to lag behind the group. "How long have you been diving", since 2002......so ok, (Next time, I must ask - when was your last dive).
Suffice to say all is well. I will save the rest of the story. It was another good learning experience for me and Sam and I need to find time to take Rescue Diver.
Meanwhile second dive was so relaxing, it is what I call and aquarium dive. A juvie tutle just lay there as I huddled over him. Then we saw a huge Mother turtle, in a small cave, just resting with her eyes open. If Lisa rolled into a ball, this turtles head would have been larger!!!! So peaceful, but time to drift away. Adam was with us, not sure if you have dove with him. A long time diver but now needs to use a scooter. He stayed near us, very polite, just far enough away not to bother but close enough we could see him. So, when he was ready to surface, (since we had already broken the rule of staying with the dive master) we surfaced as well. It is very strange to have a scooter circling you on a safety stop.
The seas were not high but there was a swell (uh, huh......the kid on the boat learned his lesson that he is not to hog the side of the boat with there is a swell with me....

- yup!!!!)
Speaking of lessons, Sam learned that you change batteries every time you are on shore, regardless. No power for the second dive. Oh well. First dive there was a student, her first open water dive. She did so well. I hope his picture of her turns out.
But being a late morning dive, it was a late arrival time home, for dive gear rinsing, of course it had stopped raining so no free rinse.
Time for me to get busy.....
Did someone say PACK?
Countdown to cruise is ON...
Have a great day all.
