Has anyone received their cruise doc's yet? We leave for WDW in less than two weeks and haven't received anything yet.

We got our luggage tags today, but I have a question. Do we have to use them if we are driving ourselves and parking at the terminal? The info w/ them says if you are flying or using Disney transportation to put them on your luggage,but not what to do if you bring it yourself. Just need some advice from those of you who have done this before.

I believe we put them on our luggage last year even though we brought our luggage to the terminal ourselves.....almost certain! But I could be thinking of WDW??? Sorry - here I am rambling and I am really not much help!

Do gifts as you want to - daily or just once per cruise! Gifts can be as simple as a stick of gum or whatever you choose to do!!

Haven’t received ours yet either and we’re starting to wonder about it.

While I got you here, are you planning to take part in either the F/E Exchange or the DIS-Meets and would you like to be included in the list of folks participating? It’s actually pretty easy. Let us know that you want to play along (so every one knows who many groups to plan for), then get yourself a “Fish Extender” and hang it on the fish medallion on the wall beside your cabin door. You can make one, buy one or improvise one. It can be no more then a small canvas or even felt bag with some ribbon for a handle or as elaborate as your imagination permits. As for the gifts, you don’t have to worry about coming up with something for every day of the cruise. Just one “gift or gifts” is all that is customary. Usually it’s a hand full of “Trinkets and whatnots” per cabin participating (a little bit like the gift bags that are often given to guests at kids parties). Most folks spend a couple of bucks per cabin, depending on the number participating, but don’t feel that you need to break open all your piggy banks just to join in.

F/E gifts range any where from pencils, stickers and coloring pages for the youngens to little Disney themed do-lollyes for older groups. A lot of people give a little souvinear that is representative of the state they live in. The more crafty people make door magnets, little picture frames and anything else they’ve a talent for and share those with everyone. We will be at WDW for 18 days before the cruise and it is a total surprise for our kids (the cruise not WDW). I will try to stay up to date with the info in this thread. I think I read somewhere that the deadline for the FE is June 20th so that will give me a few days to make sure I have the correct numbers and everything together.

Whew! We just finished school last Friday!

Your children are close in age to mine - just opposites - my DD is 8 and my DS is 5! We'll have to be sure they "meet" at the DISMeet.......did you see that info also?

We are a late addition to the thread, but we will be joining you all on the cruise. It's me and my DH, our DD 13 and DD 4.

My DD 13 (Courtney) would love to meet some other girls her age on the cruise. Is there a list of 13 and 14 years old girls on the cruise? Has anyone started a disboard thread for all the teenage girls on this trip? I'd love to be able to have a bunch of girls "meet" before the trip.

We just received our docs yesterday- along with our nieces' and nephew's- oops! Good thing we're all meeting before. Let's hope nothing else was messed up.

We got our travel documents and luggage tags via UPS yesterday as well, so hopefully everyone else will be getting theirs very soon. Especially the folks who are heading off earlier then the rest of us (lucky dogs!! )

We’re the unofficial keepers of the Members and F/E lists and we’re glad to have you aboard!! Already have you added to the members list below with as much info as we could find. If you want to post or PM us with a cabin number and every one’s first names, that would be good the folks who are trying to keep track. While we’re at it, are you interested in taking part in the Fish Extender Exchange? If so, just let us know and we’ll update the list.

Right now there are four other 13-14 year old girls that we know of who are part of this thread:

There’s not a thread that we know of started by the girls, so feel free to put one together. Let us know if you’ve got any questions (although as a fifth time DCL vet, you can probable tell us everything we need to know).

CDGMOM: Our daughter Rebecca is 12 (turning 13 in Sept) but most of her friends tend to be older rather than younger. We will be at the DIS Meet at 3:00 - maybe they can meet there. She will be happy to know there will be someone else her age. She is a little disappointed that you have to be 14 to go to the Stack. But I think it may be a good thing. Welcome to the thread.

Luggage tags need to go on each of your bags with the exception of any you carry-on. Getting on the cruise is like getting on an airplane -you'll check most of your bags "in" prior to entering the cruise terminal.

So - long story short - Yes put tags on your bags even if you are driving to the port.
