Hi all,
a day that i had forgot about,a day that ended in a bad day at work like some days do with this job.Or did it?Walked into work tonight and the chief wanted to see me in his office,asap!Had to think real quick,Have i done something wrong lately?Perhap like in the past i got the whole network in the fire house frozen on the dis homepage
He sits me down and tells me to "sign this".Its proof that i recieved the paper work from headquaters that he is about to hand me.I was very worried to say the least,usally only bad things from h.q.(headquaters) are signed for and only bad news comes from h.q.I open up the offical looking letter and it read "offical,From the office of the commishner of the new york city fire dept,this letter is to imform you of your invite to the second chance breakfast".Ok a little back ground here.On july 1,2005 we got a run for a toddler at the bottom of the pool a drowning victim.Jimmy and i pulled this 18 month old out of the pool dead and gave him cpr.
I thought he died, but not really wanting to hear bad news for sure we never checked up on him,Well he lived and is said to be just fine.We are going second week of may to the annunal FDNY second chance breakfast,to see him again and his mom at this event.We are also gettting Several medals and awards for this job.I could care less about the medals and adwards,but getting to see this kid alive and well,will be great!!They also will have a proffesional camera man there to take pics of us with the kid,I can't wait.I will try to post the pic when i get it of us with him.This really made my day,I really did'nt think he made it.
