July '07 Crowds

I am looking into a trip in July '07. I was planning a 11 day/10 night stay at Pop and would be arriving on July 6. I was just wondering if this is a good day being 4th of July is just 2 days earlier. Will the people who come for the 4th be starting to leave by then?

I'm afraid not. You'll be there at a VERY Crowded time. The week of July 4 as well as the week leading up to it and the week following it are the most crowded weeks of the summer.

It will be crowded but doable. I went 2 wks after the 4th. It was busy. It was also full of Brazill tour groups and I was told they are there every July. Just use fast pass as much as possible.

We're all booked at the Polynesian from 7/8/07 to 7/17/07. We were just in WDW from 7/17/06 to 7/24/06. It was crowded, but doable. Plan and research and prioritize what you want to see and do. I love going in the summer months because the parks stay open later and you can get more things done. Don't worry - just go and enjoy!

We have now done the July 4th week, twice (2002, 2006) and will do it again in the future. Yes, there wre crowds, but they were managable. We did the entire MK in 8 hours on a Saturday, no less, I mean DID is that every major attraction and most minor ones as well. Using FP and being smart about bypassing long lines and returning later we have a great time.

The special Fireworks for the 4th (and 3rd this year) at MK are fantastic. Epcot's extra illuminations show is also wondreful.

We had no problems getting around except the 3rd and 4th (but I think this was due to the 4th being on Tuesday making along holiday weekend) as the last trip in 2002 this was not a major issue. The best news is the hours are longer everywhere and that adds to the amount of time you can spend in the park.

It definitely emptied out after the 4th, we stayed two weeks and the following week was a lot emptier and less hectic.

I would not hestitate to send my family and friends down at this time of the year.
