Roberts wasn't due to give birth to the twins until after the releases of her new movies, 'Closer' and 'Ocean's Twelve.'

LOS ANGELES (Nov. 28) - It's a girl - and a boy - for actress Julia Roberts and her husband, cinematographer Danny Moder.

Roberts gave birth to twins Hazel Patricia Moder and Phinnaeus Walter Moder on Sunday morning at a Southern California hospital, publicist Marcy Engelman said Sunday

I was wondering the same thing but didn't want to be the first to post about it. With my luck someone would be offended I thought their child's name was "bad".

Not just STARS give their children unusual names.

Yeah I too wonder where they come up with such names

I've heard a lot worse from people who aren't celebs.

And I'm not sure why people hate the name Apple so much. I knew a girl named Apple, she was very sweet and pretty and all the guys loved her. She seemed to like her name very much.

I think Hazel is a pretty name, not sure about Phinneus. I know a Fin, maybe they will call him that.

Um, yeah...okay  I can't imagine the problems that her son will have with people saying his name wrong.

I bet they call him Phin, so that's cool! Hazel, hmmm... maybe it will come back in style? Lol

Well, my aunt's name is Hazel so that may be why it doesn't sound weird to me. They are old fashioned names--Phinneas is a bit of a mouthful, though.

I like those names.

I believe Phinnaeus is the main character in Around the World in 80 Days. Hazel is a very pretty name. I love older, classic names. :)

Didn't even realize she gave birth...I think they are different names...kinda old fashioned, but not TOO out there.

LIke the world needs more Jennifers though, you know?

Hazel...All I can think of is the old TV show with the same name.

The boy's name I'm not even going to attempt to pronounce.

Poor kids. Maybe they'll call themselves Patricia and Walter.

I don't think they're bad names, Hazel is just very old fashioned & Phinnaeus is OK, Phin would be a cute nickname. When I first heard the name Apple I couldn't believe it but it's actually grown on me, I think it's kinda cute.

I wanted to name our DS D'Artagnan because I love that name but Dh nixed it and we went with Will(William) instead. Maybe if I was famous I could've gotten away with. ;)

I think some of these different names are better then some of the popular names I hear today. There's one that's so common now that I really hate but I won't mention it because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

That's Phileas, Phineas was a character in A Separate Peace

My brother has always liked the names
Phineas, Atticus and Shepard if he has a boy

My dads name was Azellus and one of his siblings was Clovis. I think those are somewhat strange

I don't find the names that weird. I think it's alot less weird than naming them after places and objects. Phineas and Hazel are very old fashioned names.
