Juan says "BAAAA!" - 12/24 - Our last few Disney hours. COMPLETE

We love to spend time in Once Upon a Toy!

We brought Woody Mickey home with us a couple of trips ago. He is so cute.

Brooklynn and Bella each have a set of the rubber toys like Henry's Cars set. They're great all-purpose toys - inexpensive, unbreakable, quiet, chewable...

Henry is funny dancing around with his braids and claws!

Count me in as one who loves that the drink machines are themed. ::yes::

A pillow fight at the end of the day for a two year old boy - perfect! :thumbsup2

Great update! I'm looking forward to some Downtown Disney time in about a week.

Ah, that's right-that is where wigd saw the Woody Mickey, your TR, right? I had mentioned to her I'd pick him up, but we kinda lost communication after that, so I wasn't sure what she ended up deciding to do with it.

Chewable. :rotfl2: That is a necessity with a teething child, isn't it? Great point though, I'm going to keep that in mind for any future kids! The girls have Princess set, right?

One week for you! Doesn't it feel just wonderful to say that? :cloud9:

LOVE the pics! But I think I posted the pics of the squeaky Cars! I remembered how much my boys loved the 7 dwarves that they had at that age and thought that would be perfect for Henry.

AH!!! I'm sorry! It was you!! :headache: I'm going to fix that right now....

Thank you, so so so much for that recommendation! They are one of the best things we have ever purchased for all the exact reasons MeMom listed above. Bath, pool, quiet, unbreakable, soft, etc. We will be on the lookout for more toys like this in the future! I wonder if they still sell the 7 dwarves set....

Loved the update Brook!! Wow!! Henry is such a handsome little guy and boy does he look like he was really in the Disney spirit, he has such a great smile on his face!!!!

Your evening at DTD sounds perfect for you guys!! You know me and my love for creme brulee so you can't go wrong there!! WPE is one of the places I would love to try sometime, I did eat at WPC and it was AMAZING!!!!

Awww...those toys are so cute! I'm sure Henry does play with them all of the time!!! Great purchase!!!

I love your idea of taking the souvie pictures at the end of each night, I will definitely have to try that on my next trip, that makes so much more sense!!!!

He was LOVING all the toy shopping! It's such a blast to let him run around in there too!

You will love the creme brulee at WPE! It's soooooo very good. I hope you can squeeze it in on an upcoming trip. :goodvibes

It worked really well to do the souvie pics right then, otherwise they are all over the house by the time I get home and I never get all the pics taken. Plus, then you can easily and quickly tell what you bought which days. :thumbsup2

I :lovestruc the themed soda machines! I think everywhere should have those, they would make real life so much better.

I have never even THOUGHT about taking pictures of the souvenirs at the end of the day. D'oh! What a fabulous idea. I am stealing that for January for sure! :thumbsup2

I so agree on the soda machines. Though, I can't imagine what they would look like in my town. It's fairly boring here...maybe one with the Wal*Mart logo? ;)

Glad to provide the suggestion on the souvie pics! It just sorta came to me in that moment when I pulled out my soaps to look at them!

Oh that's horrible!!! Winter is not supposed to be here already...although I wish Fall would show up down here in the south!!!

I wish summer would show up here! :rotfl: I woke up and Joe was already awake with Henry, we were chatting as I stumbled around in my morning fog, trying to get a cup of coffee..."It snowed." THAT woke me up real quick! :sad2:

:scared1::scared1::scared1::eek::eek::eek:

I sure hope it doesn't make it's way towards me!

Love the updates! I could go for some EOS right now though.

I hope it stays away from us too! I remember one year getting a giant blizzard on Halloween, but usually it doesn't really snow until late November. I hope we aren't in for another 6 months of snow this year. Blah.

I could go for some EoS right now too. Drooooooool.

What a great update! I had a grin on my face the whole time reading it. That sandwich at WPE looked YUMMY - I may have to put that on my "must try" list. :thumbsup2

I can't believe you guys got SNOW last night!! :scared1:

The sandwich was really great if you like an Asian flair and some crunch - it's almost like an Asian chicken salad in a pita. Very tasty!

I can't believe it either about the snow. It's so so wrong! Thankfully it wasn't much and most of it is gone already. I took pics...I'll post them in a minute...

It snowed here too!! LOTS!!! It looks so sad - leaves still on trees, fall flowers still blooming, and then....SNOW!! I know that people think that Canada is a winterland but really, this is not the norm.
Loving your TR again- makes me forget about what is outside. :goodvibes

We didn't get a lot, just a dusting, but I think closer to Minneapolis they got about an inch. It's so weird, isn't it?! I hope that doesn't mean we are all in for a very, very long winter again-ugh. I hope this was just a fluke and we can still get some fall. The trees were barely starting to change!

How much did you guys get? I hope it all melts quickly for you!

Wow Brook....

That is one major, fantastic update. there is too much to comment on, but here's a few....

1. Your sandwich looks amazing. I want that NOW!

2. Cool pluto stuffed toy!

3. Cute cars toys

4. Henry finding your exact room and claiming his possession - priceless.

5. I can't believe Henry prefered the dreads (braids) over the car ears. Go figure. :confused3

6. Cute soaps. I need to stop there next trip. Must have soap from the basin.

7. Creme brulee and the Hallelujah chorus - very funny. :rotfl2:

8. Snow?????? What the ..........?

Exactly. What the....?! Thankfully it has mostly melted. A few patches left. We better not get anymore for a month or two!

Thanks for all the comments! I can't believe Henry preferred the braids over the Cars ears either. I even tried later in the trip to put them on him, and nope-no go! He likes all kinds of hats, except Mickey ears. :guilty: No idea why - hopefully he'll grow out of it. ;)

What a fun evening!! We love DTD and just hanging out, looking at all the stuff is so fun for us.

We have never had WPE but it always looks so good. Have you used your Mickey soap yet?

No way!! Do not even think about sending that stuff my way.

DTD is a really fun place - I like it a lot when it's not super busy and we can take our time and browse through the shops. I could seriously drop a lot of money and have our entire house decked in Mickey Mouse, but I restrain myself...

I haven't used the soap yet. I'm keeping it for after the December trip, probably about March when I'm itching to go back to WDW, still dealing with the icky winter here and just need a fix of Mickey. :cloud9:

Brook, love the update. The pics of Henry are just too cute--and love the hat photos (my trip report has lots of hat photos--mostly DH wearing the hats). Looking forward to the MK day.

I didn't go outside, the last picture will explain why...just a light dusting. But, still it's SNOW IN EARLY OCTOBER. :sad2:

Aren't all the crazy hats in WDW so much fun? We still haven't done the Hats of the World Showcase Tour, but perhaps a fun event for December. I can very much see my FIL getting into that.... I look forward to seeing what hats Mark found...I know he's brave and fun with his Eeyore ears!

Ah that was such a cute :love:story. Do I dare tell you that it is 82 degrees here currently???

So I thought I commented earlier. I had so much fun shopping with Henry. (a hint of my future I guess)

I too cannot bring myself to use my Basin soap. Soon... very soon I will try to do it.

I love your story of you and Joe .... that is so sweet and beautiful!

What a neat story of how you two ended up together! We have a similar breaking up, moving away, e-mailing, getting together, getting married story. Gotta love the internet! :)

Snow in October???

I won't even tell you what the high is supposed to be tomorrow!

That story of how you and Joe ended up together? Simply beautiful and sweet and wonderful and magical! Thanks for sharing it with us!!! :goodvibes

Hello Brook!
Thanks for putting links at the beginning of your TR. I’ve been absent. This makes it very easy to get caught up!

Using the water fountain as a distraction at the dig site was genious! The cake that Joe had at Pizzafari did look rich. YUM!

Your pics of everything are gorgeous. I love all the colors and the details. You did get some good shots on the safari.

Kidani looks very nice. AKL is my favorite resort.

I love DTD! I’m glad you found something for Henry. You look too cute in the Rastafari hat. So does Henry.

It looks like you didn’t have much trouble with your foot. That is great!

I think your scrap books are very cute! You did a great job.

Brook that pic of Rastafari Henry had me LOL!! With the 2 shovels in his hands. It looks like he was having a great time!! We love DTD also & especially WPE. We eat there every trip. Love the story of how you & Joe got together:love:
SNOW=UGGHHH!!! We will get it here in NH soon enough but if it were me I would rather not have it at all.

I love your "love" story. How wonderful! and romantic.
I knew my DH for years and years. I dated his brother back in 1997 (I think). Then I dated another guy for 2 years. I remember running into DH once at a tractor pull (he pulls and we were spectators) and I thought he looks kind of sexy in that pulling suit. LOL! :lovestruc My boyfriend and I then broke up and I date DH's brother again for about 6 months. I went to the family eAster, and DH and I talked the whole time, while his brother was busy talking to family. After we broke up, I guess he had asked about me quite a bit. We ran into each other at a local bar one night and just talked alot and when I went to the bathroom, he told me friend that he wanted to ask me out, and she told him to go for it. So he finally did a few weeks later and we've been together for almost 9 years now! Married 7!

That is a great idea about rounding the corners! Now that you mention that, the other gals did it, but I never got that creative. Really, really great idea. I'm going to remember that for future books-real or digital, which ever they might be.

Does Shutterfly allow complete free design of the pages - or do you have to use their templates? I've made a couple books and a couple calendars, using their templates-they are really great!! But, I'd also dare to do some completely blank-slate stuff too now that I've accomplished this book.

Sounds good on the TR-please do keep me updated! I love to read everyone's but often miss them in the siggys. And keeping up is near impossible, but I try!

Ahhh! Very good to hear. It's got similar impact, just in a different way. I can understand that now that I think about the "drag & drop" type book I did for our Israel trip from a couple years ago. I love that book-and it has just as much appeal as this new one-just in a different way. I like the idea of making a 12x12 page an entire picture too to really bring emphasis to the picture. Plus, with digital making things b&w or sepia, or faded color, etc can really add some awesome drama...oooh, you've got my wheels going now! Now I just need the time! :goodvibes

Sorry I didn't get the TR update up last night, I was exhausted - and just couldn't keep awake enough to get it posted. But....here...it...comes!!

Hi Brook! I actually use my own computer program and then convert each page over to a JPG file and then upload each page to Shutterfly and then paste to a blank page. I know there are a lot of different programs available to use and the one that my Mom gave me as a bday gift is by Polaroid called "My Memories Suite". It's honestly probably not a very well known one but it's been easy enough for me to work with and accomplish what I need to. Once I have the time to invest in it, I will be working on our recent trip and I should be able to post a picture of at least one of my pages to show you. I'll work on that... :)

Jeepers! Snow already!

Great update, Henry is so adorable and looked like he was having a blast playing with all the toys. Excellent choice of souvenir you got too with those Cars bath toys :)

Ok, now I'm done reading/seeing all the great updates!! We also love Downtown Disney and it's become our tradition to go there on our first night. I realize I need more time there so I must put that into the plans next time around! The stores ARE great! :woohoo: Henry is so cute in his CARS excitement! My DS who just turned 6 is still very much into collecting the die cast cars and as you know, there are quite a few! We don't buy every one but I try and get at least the ones that are "different". He has a bunch coming for Xmas - shh! :)

The "Joe" story is just so stinkin' sweet! :lovestruc I'm so glad it worked out the way it did and sometimes, it's just meant to be! Good for you guys!

I'm off to work on my pictures (it's never ending!) and my journal!

Hopefully no more snow for you guys for awhile....:rotfl2:

Heather

Awww...such an amazing fairytale romance - it was meant to be!:lovestruc My husband and I were high school sweethearts and have now been married for 21 years but I wouldn't change a thing.

As for the snow, not sure on how much but what was sitting on the deck rails was a good 3-4 inches deep. Most of it is gone now but there are still traces of it sitting around. Just a real inconvenience on our Thanksgiving long weekend and nobody was prepared for it. :sad2:

Thanks for sharing your love story!

Your sandwich from WPE looked yummy! I can't wait to hit DTD and eat there. I also want to go in Basin and sniff stuff! :rotfl2:
