Well, I'm back....sort of.....I just can't seem to get anything really DONE. Updating may take a couple of posts.....
DS21 started at WM today. Training from 8 - 5. Good thing as his bank account is almost $400 overdrawn & has been for a LONG time. On the bright side, this is the shortest he has been unemployed in recent history.
Yes, Lesli, the WM is really dim. It has a LOT of skylights & if a cloud passes over, lights come on, when it's brighter, they go off, in lots of small sections over the whole store. Over 6 football fields in size. anything refrigerated/frozen is behind doors & the coolers are dark until someone approaches, then the lights in them come on...kind of like doing the 'wave'. Kind of freaky!! My friend works at Cust. Svc. and the only 'stay on' lights there are behind the counter. The 'lobby' lights come on if customers approach. Said they were told it cuts the utility cost about 40%. But it's weird!!!!!
DS18 worked out the training schedule. He went this past weekend. Bored too death over the dumbness of the class. They were asked. What percent is 6.8 cents of a dollar. The class consensus was 60%!!!! Wow!!!! But this is NM! He went in at 5 a.m. today & thinks he gets off around 2. It's spring break for him, so he needs to get the $$$$!!!!
DD should start training at DQ sometime this week....or so they said. She also has regional science fair, Thurs night, all day Fri & Sat til 2. Spring break for her starts on Friday......YEAH!!!! Hopefully by the end she'll be able to see the floor of her room again!!!
Food has been on again off again. More good than bad, but I succumbed to the spell of the Evil little Brownies & bought cookies. Then I ate a bag of kissables.........
Oh yeah, I digress.......now that I'm not doing any ebay, I got sick of looking at my trashy office. HUGE bookcases(4x8' solid oak) with DH recliner & a lamp table in FRONT of them, a smaller book case, armoire & 7' L desk taking up 1/2 the room. In my mind(during a sleepless night) I was thinking I wanted a daybed type thing of some sort (DH had a tummy ache & kept me up all night screaming every 30 min he thought it was his appendix - I need someplace to go!!). So the next day I go into costco & decide to walk all the aisles & find a deep brown & espresso wood leather daybed clearanced for $199. It was JUST what I was thinking of. 2 left. Couldn't get DS18's friend's truck til the next day, but they were still there, PTL!!
So, giant bookcases moved downstairs, smaller ones from down moved up to put on Craigslist or Garage Sale, Made DH go thru books & get rid of JUNK!! Recliner, table & bookcases now hovering in living room along with mountains of Garage Sale stuff.
Then, of course, I need to paint these stupid white walls(DH, the engineer, thinks all walls should be white). I've got MOST of 2 walls done as I can't move all the computer stuff myself....I'm forbidden! Today's job is to get the smaller bookcase restained dark (DH doesn't know) & back in place in the office.
Then, since I HATE the ugly light huge L desk, I spent 1 day last week online & found a new dark & cherry desk & cabinets on clearance that are being shipped. I'll take pics of this stuff when it's cleaned up for DH to move & hopefully get is sold on Craigslist before the new comes.(he doesn't know about that, either!
)
One wall in the room is a huge Window w/ a seat, so it's really hard to arrange except on 2 walls opposite each other & this L desk is atrocious!!
So, I've been busy.......
In between, I've been working on a trip to FL. DNieces are due 5/17 & 6/1. The older, due 5/17, refuses to be induced again as last time it didn't work (happens to others, Tracy!). Her Dsis(due 6/1) will definitely be induced due to her TINY size. So, they could easily have babies during the same week. And, my DSis will be keeping the 2 1st kids, age 1 & 2 & wants help. DNiece1 thinks she has to have her DH and her mom in the Delivery room or she can't deal. NOT!!!
So, I have SW credit expiring on 6/13 + 1 free r/t ticket. I'm working on DD & I flying to FL, sending her back in time to work over memorial day weekend, & I will stay most of the next week & then take the train home. Train for me = 3 days of peace & solitude. Think I need it???????
Ok, off to get things done....more later.....
Try not to fret, I am sure that they will turn up somewhere. Maybe once you are able to calmly rethink your steps you will figure it out. It is so hard to think of the details when you "think" you are losing your mind. But rest assured, you are not, just a case of a busy mom. All of us misplace the important things at some point or other.
