I'm equally confused as to where today's scale numbers came from....oh well....I'll take them!

Drove around a neighborhood garage sale area this morning near here. I was actually looking for a few specific things which I didn't find, but, I did find a nice futon chair that I THINK will work in my Gazebo. If not, for $15 I"m not too sorry. If nothing else I'll sell it at my Garage Sale. Also bought a toddler bed RAIL that will work perfect as a gate for Mia & Max to keep them in my kitchen without having to step over a high gate all the time.

My fun buy was a large ficus tree with lights for the patio/gazebo/sunporch that I put in my bug. I'm sure I looked quite strange with the top down driving at 55 with a large tree, but it worked!!
 
Hey Julie---Hang in there with those scale numbers! They can not make sense to us all sometimes!

Sounds like you had a good day at the garage sales. I love going around on a saturday and checking out all the different ones. I often find some really great things.

When I first read this Julie, I thought I read that you bought a large ficus tree with a bug in it. I thought, "Why would Julie buy a tree with a bug in it ?" Then I re-read it and realized that you said that you put the ficus tree in your bug. :drive: :lmao: (I only had a few hours of sleep last night... can you tell? ;) )

Yesterday was spent working on the hill. I'm VERY sore from shoveling dirt & leveling. Still more to do. Inside of the house did NOT get done. UGH!!!

Up at 5 this morning, drove DS17 to work at 6, went to WalMart, then Sams, then back to ChickFil A to ask DS17 a question, then to Walgreens to get them energy drinks. Home by 8:15. Spent 2 hours working on converting hotel points to SW airlines credits I'm almost at a free ticket! Still more to do.

Then grabbed DD & started more errands. Managed to accomplish exactly ZERO. Everywhere I went the stuff I needed was gone. Picked DS17 up ran to home depot for more steel stakes for the rr ties, then WalMart for more bricks for the steps. It's 97 out & I was driving the van which doesn't cool down well. I'm BUSHED!! Only got about 4.5 hours sleep last night.

This week will continue to be insane, so I likely won't be on much other than to post my food. The scale is definitely PSYCHO & NOT cooperative. I will keep on keepin' on, however!
 
Julie the scale may be showing new muscle with all of the work you have been doing in the yard. Good luck and what a great workout you are getting.:thumbsup2

You are doing great with the food and exercise...my scales are strange too!!! Sometimes when I deserve to loose I don't or they get stuck...last month I weighed everyone in the house cause I thought they were broken:lmao: but finally after 3 weeks the weight was gone 5 pounds at once...our bodies do strange things...my guess is your building muscle and thats great cause that will burn the fat for you....and soon you should have a good loss on the scale! Keep up the good work!

Happy Birthday to DS who is 18 today! Ordered an ice cream cake for tonight. None of his presents have arrived - all motorcycle stuff - so I have to get creative this afternoon wrapping at least something for him. Hmmmmm.....


I'm ALMOST done running/buying for the party on Sunday - except for bread store on Sat & the stuff that has to be picked up on Sunday. The house still hasn't hardly been started, but the yard is getting better.

Tried the new WW meal over my lettuce today - Santa Fe Chicken - only TWO points. Good, but not spicy. I added some cheese & it was good. Discovered the WW version of Santa Fe beans & rice has 1 more point than the Lean Cuisine one. Good to know for days that 1 point REALLY matters.

I am officially a MEAN mother! For his party we got a Sponge Bob Grad Pants Cake which also has a picture of him wearing the Spider Man floaties (2 sets) on the cruise. The other half of that sheet cake will have all sorts of sea critters on it & "Happy Birthday" Then, as an added bonus, we found a Little Mermaid cake that has a picture in it - will be his face in Scuba Gear that he took of himself under water & it says "Princess of the Waves". That one will likely just come out when it's his good friends!

Off to shampoo carpet......

Went to WI. I was UP .4!! THAT STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!! And to make it worse, the WI person was downright RUDE!! I'm frustrated enough without her making it worse. I'm now up officially at WW 8 lbs from my last WI before trip. I just wanna go eat the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream cake in my freezer downstairs.....ALL OF IT!!!!!!!!!! There's no way I'm gonna make my goal of losing my trip weight by the end of the month. GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Oh well, life goes on.....

I have MOST of the upstairs carpet done. Just waiting for DS18 to get up to help me move some more furniture around.
 
Try not to stress too much about the gain Julie, it wont help :hug:

Try to stay positive & dont give in to temptation - easier said than done i know!!!
 
Don't worry, Tracey, I won't go eat the ice cream cake - but it sure is tempting. As long as I don't carry it upstairs, I'm fine. Unfortunately, the full sheet cake + the other cake on Sunday will be a temptation. The rest of the food I'll deal with - melon & veg trays are OK as are dill pickles. Veg baked beans are OK. I'll eat FF hot dog & not have burger or brats. Chips I THINK I can deal with.
