Journey back to ME!!- I'm getting bugged!!

I need more hours in my Days & Weeks!!!

I hear ya WISH sis! :grouphug: Life has been crazy hectic at our house this week too and that is exactly how I feel... I just haven't had enough time this week.

I hope things get better with DS20..... I am praying for him and for you too. :grouphug:

Please take some time and do something special for you this weekend. :grouphug: Take care, Julie! :goodvibes

Hopefully DS20 stays out of trouble. I've always heard the phrase, Baby step first. So little steps in the right direction are a good thing.
I really feel that I know what you are going through. We really could compare notes.

When you find the magical tree that gives us more time in our day, please let me know :rotfl2: . I could really use it. For DS20, like deelam said, baby steps. Maybe he is ready to turn his life around now. :grouphug:

If I could, I'd throw you a couple hours in my day! ;) Hubby has his baseball tournament this weekend, and I'll be passing time cooking & cleaning. I'd be happy to give you a couple hours which would mean less housework for me! :p

I think you're about due for a quiet, no-stress day. I hope that day comes soon for you. I think the others are correct. Baby steps with ds may be the best way to go. You've already opened those lines of communication by taking him to the dentist, not just handing money over for cigarettes. He's very lucky to have you.

GREAT job on the exercise!! Thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you have a nice weekend.

CJK I'll gladly take any donated hours you can give me!

Took DD to the Dr. this morning. It wasn't our normal Dr. and she barely even looked at her. At least she now has a note for school, but I think we'll have to go back. I know DD is getting the ear infection problem back that she had for almost 8 months last fall/winter/spring, but this Dr. just said change her antihistamines. Oh well. She's miserable, but will live.

DS20 has been in and out today, but it's 3:30 and he still hasn't started on the bathroom. It's not even got 1 coat finished. GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! Today was the last day FedEx here was interviewing for pt jobs (30/hrs) @ $9.50 & $11.40/hr. He wouldn't go. Even bigger GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to meet the WW people who walk at 6:30 M/W/F today as they're going to do the 1/2 in October. They do 6 miles each time, but this morning it was raining and I didn't want to go over there in the dark if they didn't walk in the rain. Hopefully Monday.

It was actually chilly this morning. High is only 70 and it's beautiful out now. I'm definitely going to get a long walk in later.

Mia still has an upset tummy and is on day 2 of loose stools, so they've been living in the kitchen for 2 days and are very unhappy. If she doesn't improve I guess I'll have to fit a vet appt. into next week, too. She seems fine, otherwise, so I'm not too worried, it's just a pain!!

Tomorrow I'll have to run errands as I haven't gotten them done this week. Not sure what else the weekend will bring. DS17 has to start his Calculus class on Sunday with DH. Fun, Fun, Fun!! But, he only has that, physics, English 4 and art appreciation which I'm helping with and he's done!! YEAH!!!! With any luck, he will finish early January. He'd like to pick up a class at the Jr. College here in the spring to get 1 of his required classes out of the way while working more. Time will tell......

I'm sure he will be working on the patio this weekend as well. He's obsessed! It's not going to be cheap, but with him doing it it will be cheaper than having it poured or hiring someone. He just wants furniture & a fire pit for it.

I'm now thinking about saying FL will just be DD and I. DH isn't thrilled about going and doesn't speak to anyone or do anything while there, anyway. DS17 wants to go, but would rather I spend the hotel money and universal ticket money on patio stuff - makes sense to me. Not sure yet. I wish they'd decide. I'm still reluctant to leave DS20 at home alone even though he's seldom here.

So far today I'm OP, which would make this day 97. I'm not eating good for me food, but within points today, so I'll take it. DS17 wants to go to see The Protector, but none of his friends want to , so I''m hoping that DH and DS20 will go with him (I have free tickets, so why not?) and then I'll need to take DD to a movie, which will mean a pretzel or some popcorn from home for dinner. Personally, a nice bath (not a possibility w/ my bathroom a disaster) and sleep sound better!

I'm slowly getting some Ebay done today and getting some journals visited. This weekend I MUST finish Ebay pictures & get my Living room back so it doesn't look like a bad closet anymore!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Your ds 17 sounds like a dream come true! How did you get so lucky? Glad you're getting all of that patio work done. He must be a hard worker. I love our patio - we're always grilling out.

Way to go with the 97 days OP! :woohoo:

Yes, DS17 is pretty much every mother's dream kid. I think it has a lot to do with him being in gymnastics competitively for 11 years, that coupled with the fact that before age 8 he was very sickly with asthma/allergies, so he was pretty much a momma's kid. His activity level is through the roof - DD says he's really ADHD and I think so too. He's been homeschooled since he was 3 - due to the gym, the illness and his attention span. But, he's a straight A student, works 35 - 40 hours/week since he was 15, and is about to have $10,000 in savings which was his goal by HS graduation and he's earned every penny, + bought his motorcycle. Yep, he's a keeper! And then there's his brother.......

Hi-just wanted to stop by to say hi..You have alot going on!! i completely agree that we need more hours in the day!
hang in there, hope you have a great weekend

Hope your weekend is calmer and DS can get your bathroom done. How nice it will be when your patio is finished. :sunny: Take care!

Wow! I'm so impressed with your DS17 doing the patio! That's amazing. I bet it will be gorgeous when it's done.

I'm sorry to hear about your woes with DS20. :grouphug: Hopefully he finishes the bathroom soon. Sounds like you need that nice hot bath!

It's amazing 2 such different kids can come out of the same family. My brother and I are kind of like that as well. My brother pushed and tested everything and seemed determined to learn everything the hard way. I was little Miss Mary Sunshine :rolleyes1 . He finally did grow up and settle down. I don't think the life he lives is the one she would have chose for him, but he supports himself and seems to be content enough.

I hope today is a wonderful day for you! :sunny:

Yep my brother & i are opposites too!!!
My mum was only saying today that my brother never comes to visit her like i do, only when he wants something or her to have his kids!!! Hes had his troubles in the past, he does visit mum & dad on b/days & christmas though!!!!
Needless to say Julie you are not alone, even though we all feel like we are sometimes!!
Hope you find those spare hours & use them to give yourself some nice, quality 'you' time :)
Well done on not gaining too much too, stress can have its good points lol :)

DS17 building your patio? FANTASTIC! I hope you're thrilled with the result. You'll have to do some MUCH NEEDED lounging on it when he's finished! I hope you're able to find some time for yourself this weekend in between children woes, pet woes and dh woes! Hang in there! Give yourself a major pat on the back for your amazing resolve for staying on your healthy lifestyle track! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!! :goodvibes

Well, took DD back to Dr. Saturday as her throat & mouth were covered in white spots. They still think it's just viral. Her tonsils are HUGE!! Poor kid! She has to go to School on Monday, though. With AP classes, she just can't afford to miss.

I got up Sat. morning at 4 to get DS17 up and take him to work. Woke DD up around 8 to go run errands, get in to Dr. etc. We finally got home around 2, then back out to Lowes to take DH to look at stuff for Patio. He didn't care what we did until DS17 started making progress, then he got upset that he didn't have input. DUH!!!! We walked about 1 1/2 hours of Mall Laps while killing time to go to the Dr. Didn't shop, just walked.

I finally got to go to bed around 11 last night, then up at 5 again this morning. I'm BEAT, plus I'm getting a bad cold, feel miserable and even more hot than I normally do, but no fever. I'm hoping to get a little more sleep tonight as this starts marathon busy week.

Tomorrow I have to go return some stuff to the thrift store which opens at 9. List Ebay, pay bills, take DD to her MRI, HOPEFULLY get the bathroom put back together (DS20 STILL isn't done)

DH decided to go to the casino tonight. I just can't see throwing money away when we have so many added DS20 expenses, but whatever. He said he needed to go see the light of day before he goes back to work tomorrow - too bad the casino is DARK!! :rotfl:

I need to get Ebay done and get to bed. No, I STILL didn't get my living room back under control - Worked on it, but the Bathroom decided to move into it, too! Maybe by next weekend!

Have a good week everyone!!

You deserve some sort of medal for all you do for your family!! :wizard: I hope they realize how fortunate they are to have you in their lives. I hope your DD feels better soon. :grouphug: I hope YOU feel better soon. Any chance of having a bit of a down day to rest and take care of yourself? Maybe your cold is your body's way of telling you to relax more? Of course, that's easier said than done with all that is going on in your life. I hope you can find a little me time this week. Keep us posted on how things go. :goodvibes

:grouphug: Julie,

I hope things get better soon..... I think you are doing a great job with everything that is going on. :goodvibes Keep on keeping on, my friend! :grouphug:

:tinker: I hope your daughter is feeling better. Ouch! That sounds painful. How's the patio coming along? Your younger son sure works hard. Hope that your husband isn't upset anymore.

How are you doing? Hope you can find some time to relax now and then.

Hoe you and DD are feeling better too.

Hope its a good week! :sunny:

Monday is almost over....YEAH!!!!

Took DD to school @ 7 so I could take her Dr. note in, home to wake DS17, pick up quick & leave for thrift store. It was packed & it took them well over an hour to do my return, then I bought stuff and they credited it wrong and we had to do it again. UGH!! Thank goodness I had starbucks (decaf of course)on the way!

DS17 called & tried to buy a new xbox game at best buy & was $4.xx short on his gift cards, so, after running thru Arby's to pick DH up lunch(he didn't want me to pack b/c I'm sick & he forgot), delivering it, I ran to Best buy, got the game, went thru Chick FilA drive thru for a free happy meal & delivered it to DS17. Home with enough time to potty dogs, unload & leave to get DD at school. Brought her home to change, then off to the MRI. Took 30 min to get there, hour there, then 45 min home. Finally home at 6 p.m. to a SCREAMING DS20 who is sick and can't find medicine - "well, it would be on the shelf in the bathroom if you'd finish painting & move the shelf back - it's been almost a week" Needless to say he was not happy with me, oh well!!!!!

So, It's now 7:30 p.m., I'm exhausted, sneezing about every 8 minutes, coughing, etc, and just now starting Ebay. Bathroom Still isn't done! DH & DS17 are off to buy more sand for the levelling as DS17 is off tomorrow.

Food was OK until I got the CFA(7) - then I had a revival bar(5), some of DD's chili cheese fries on the way to the MRI - 3 bites, then 2 truffles & some turkey slices. I can't taste, I just crave salt(and chocolate). Fortunately I have FP's, but not many left. No exercise today except running errands.

Tomorrow DH has his back appt at 8:30, then DD has therapy at 3:30. I'm really really hoping for a nap somewhere in there. Time will tell.....

You sure are doing a lot of running about! :moped: I'm sorry you are not feeling well. Really try and get to bed early and/or get a nap. Sleep really does do wonders for the body and healing. Take care!

Goodness Julie! You are one active Mom! I work 10 hour shifts and WHINE when I have to run erands after that! My DH is amazing in that he does so much! He's great! Couldn't do it without him.

Thanks for stoping by my journal. Keeps me getting back to it when someone responds! Just getting into WISH, and find it great. Support is great!

So, you have a 17 yr old too! My DS works as much as he can. He worked nearly 40 hours a week all summer, except for his Summer Youth Program at Mich Tech. He wants to be a Chemical Engineer so that he can do fireworks at WDW. :sunny: DD(10) wants to be a pastry chef at the Grand Floridian! What a family! And think of all the times I will have to visit!

Hope your bathroom is on it's way to being done, and the patio is finished on time! We too have too many 80% done projects! Life justs gets in the way!

Take care of yourself! A late summer cold can be awful, and take it's toll!

Wendy
