Journalism majors who have done the CP?

Anyone out there a journalism major and done the CP? What was your role? Do you feel it helped you in any way?

My boyfriend is thinking about doing the college program and he's a journalism major. He doesn't seem to think it will really help him in any way, and I'm trying to convince him it will since I've already done it

I'm a journalism major and I plan on doing the CP next semester. Since I haven't done the program yet, I can't really answer your question but I have had the same fears as your bf.

I mean the CP says it accepts all majors but what would say a Nursing Major gain from such an experience? At least with journalism, we have something that looks great on resumes and we have experience with a company that owns ABC as well as tons of other companies. Plus, when else in my life am I going to be able to live at Disney World for a semester!

That's actually a good point I will bring up. Disney owns many companies (including ESPN, would could be beneficial since he likes writing about sports) and it just looks good on a resume.

i think the fact that you got chosen and were trained by disney looks good on anyones resume regardless of how relevant it is.
it shows that you have all those qualities that we all know disney is associated with and what employer wouldnt want that?
