Jouney to Atlantis?

My family (DH, DS7 and DS5) will be heading to Sea World in September...is Atlantis too intense for a 5 year old? He doesn't scare easily but for obvious reasons I don't want to freak him out on our first ride. Any advice? Thanks

Think we`ll try and sit towards the back of the boat! is that an ok`ish place. I appreciate it is a water ride but would hate to be completely soaked.

Half the time when you ride in the back all the water that has gotten in the boat flows backward going up hill climbs... and does leak. So you feet sit in like 2 foot puddles most of the time

After the big drop that everyone knows about, the boat goes around a curve and begins to head back to the building. However, before entering the building, there is a small drop that you go down. What everyone doesn't realize is that the track is deliberately dipped to ensure that after going down this tiny drop, the bow of the boat submerges, sending water rushing into the laps of everyone in the front row. This is often an unexpected surprise for many and perhaps the most wet you'll ever get on a ride. So if you're looking to avoid being completely drenched after the ride, STAY OUT OF THE FRONT ROW!!!

We were prepared to get wet but didn't expect to be completely soaked..head to toe!!!! We were in the front, not by choice but b/c they needed a party of 2 so we got pulled from way back in the line. We were in the front two seats of the log. Dont think we would ever sit there again b/c of how wet we got!

We were soaked from the drop as well as that other dip.The ride was lots of fun but we did it early in the day and spent the rest of the day saturated. My underwear was soaked-I rang them out in the bathroom and my sneakers were saturated. I ended up not being able to wear my sneaks for the rest of our trip b/c they never dried.Tried to find decent clothes to buy and change into but the stores in SW didn't have anything we liked enough to spend money on.
Ride is a blast but if you sit in the front, you will get completely soaked!
