Tuesday
We headed down to breakfast which was the usual Disneyland continental type then back to the our room to get dressed for the very cold weather outside, then on to the park for Extra Magic Hours. The Carousel, Tea Cups, Dumbo’s, Peter Pan, Buzz Light Year, and Star Tours were all done in quick succession.
Then to see Captain Eo which was nice to see on the big screen in 3D. Considering its age the 3D effects are very good.
After the show we went into Constellations to see what Captain Eo merchandise they had, and they had quite a bit, t-shirts, posters and mugs. There was also a lot of Marvel merchandise too.
Then we popped into Salon Mickey for a hot chocolate and then we visited the Dragon under the castle then back into Fantasyland for a ride on Pinocchio. We had lunch reservations at the Blue Lagoon so we had a ride on Pirates of the Caribbean first then into the restaurant were we had our normal beach front table.
After lunch we took a walk over to Fantasyland for a ride on It’s a small world again, the ride is really different with the Christmas makeover. Then we took a walk though the Nautilus and then over to Frontierland for a ride on the Mark Twain river boat and a stroll around Adventureland
Then it was time to see the Parade again.
After the parade we made our way down Main Street looking in some shops along the way for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony which was very nice.
Then back up Main Street to the hub to see the Castle Lighting Ceremony. Unfortunately due to ice on the stage the theatrical stage part of the Ceremony was cancelled and the Castle was light up to the music and what a magical sight it was. The Sleeping Beauty Castle looks lovely all light up for Christmas.
Sharon got us some hot chocolate to drink while we stood on Main Street waiting for the Fantalusion Parade. It was the first time we had seen this as we have never gone to the park in the peak summer season or Christmas before when this parade is operating.
After the parade we made out way out of the park via Discovery Arcade to avoid the crowds and took the short icy walk back though the Village and around the lake over to the Newport Bay Hotel for our dinner reservations at the Cape Cod restaurant.
After dinner it was back to the Sequoia Lodge, where Santa had made a visit to our room and had left Sharon an early Christmas present
With Sharon clutching her new Fantasia Stitch we settled down with a cup hot chocolate and played around with the new interactive features on the TV service and then watched some Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel.
Then we watched the news and weather reports on France 24 and BBC World News where we found out that there was some snow forecast for tomorrow.
That would be nice we thought!
