My DH can't stand her either, I can't watch the show when he is home. I think she is a bit anal, but I think she probably needs to be to maintain sanity. I just don't like how she hits Jon in the face all the time - no wonder the kids hit each other so often. Otherwise I quite like the show every now and then.

It's more of the ha ha you're so silly kind of thing. She seems sorry that she did it after the fact, but I don't like it. You kind of wonder why he puts up with it.

I think it would only be appropriate if her name was Mistress Kate and she was wearing latex.
I don't watch the show anymore because I find it annoying but towards the end of my watching all she ever did was yell at Jon and then smack him and the laugh like it was a joke. Yeah, that big red handprint across his check was a riot!

Kate is one of the rudest people!! On the Go Green show she was so rude to Steve Thomas. Granted he is a bit over enthusiastic but there is no reason to be so nasty to him. She acted like a high and mighty *****! Why does she think she's so much better than others?

I can not watch that show just because of her. I dont know he can stand being married to her. The one time I tried to watch I could just see the look in his eyes when she hit, insulted or just bothered him. My wife thinks he will eventually divorce or kill her. And whats up with the kids looks. I guess Kate must have pretty lousy genes because it appears none got passed to the kids.

I think she's lovely

"Lovely" is the last word I would use to describe her! The worst part is, if you go back and watch early specials on the family before it was a series, or even the first season, she was not as bad. I think the fame has gone to her head. It's no wonder John doesn't want to do the show anymore. He's probably sick of looking like a schmuck on tv.

I don't watch the show directly because I can't take how disrespectful Kate is to her DH, the father of her kids. BUT, I do love it when Joel McHale from THE SOUP highlights one of the show's clips and points out John's reaction to her

No kidding! I watched it one night and there were 2 episodes on. I couldn't believe a wife would be so demeaning to her spouse (and of course I wouldn't want the opposite either!) I felt like she was treating him like one of the kids that had to be told what to do and when and how to do it and boy if he did it wrong......

I've seen the show once, and couldn't watch it anymore because of her. I don't need the rise in blood pressure.

My wife watches that show and I can't be in the same room, but mostly because of all the crying from the kids. Sometimes it seems constant, but I guess that's what you get from so many kids.

From what I've picked up here and there about Kate and how she treats Jon, I would agree that they won't last much longer. The show probably provides a nice income for them, but the constant humiliation just isn't worth it. Imagine what would happen if Jon were to "playfully" slap Kate once or twice...
