Jon & Kate plus 8 in WDW show on last night

As I was waiting for our new washer and dryer to be delivered I was furtively scootching the old ones and cleaning behind them. I thought to myself I have to thank Kate for this because I don't think I would have been paranoid to clean behind appliances before I watched her complain and whine about it. At least there were no mouse turds! :thumbsup2

Do you let your kids watch the Disney episode? Of course my DD wanted to see Disney and the kids, but I remember Kate saying something about how her girls "Really think that is the real princesses!"
I dont let DD watch that part anymore! She still believes in all the characters!

I think it would be hard to have to have cameras on your every move, even at WDW! We have a great relationship and family times are fun, but even we have had our ugly moments at WDW. I certainly wouldn't want them on TV! I wonder why so much time was spent on the ice cream issue. I wanted to see more of the kids with characters or on rides.

I love the show. For those of us with less than 8 kids, and with 6 at the same time...not sure we have a leg to stand on to criticize whether she can have such a big house or say no kids in her bedroom. I can almost relate and I only have 4 kids. :rotfl:

I think I may be the only person around who genuinely likes the show and thinks Jon and Kate have a great relationship! I just read their book, and the truly seem like good people, Kate's attitude and all. And, honestly, if I had 8 kids and TLC came along, I'd say yes to the show and all that comes with it!

I do agree with what Erin1700 said about Kate "spoiling the magic" though, I wouldn't want my kids to hear that!

Egads! If I had 8 toddlers, I may ban them from my bedroom too! We have no idea how much work this group of children are, help or not!
I had twins so I cannot imagine the time, expense, etc the family has.
I simply say, if someone doesn't like the show, they don't have to watch it.
Oh and I would NEVER let my toddlers paint walls but good for the family for involving them. That was nice on one show.

Good point about Kate saying about "real princesses". They are all real.

I have to say, I really enjoy the show and I think Kate is a hoot. I am glad for their big giant house, and I can understand the bedroom being a sanctuary for the parents. I think they do a really great job with them; she stays calm in the midst of chaos. She does rag on John a bit; I rag on my hubby a bit as well. I just don't do it for an audience. Although I would if someone wanted to pay me for it.

"They're ruined! Just ruined!!" LOL. Who knew ice cream was so destructive?

I don't know why but I pictured Kate wringing her hands in worry. Did she have wet naps? Just wipe the kids faces and there you go. Besides, a kid is SUPPOSED to get sticky at Disney, she could not imagine they would stay clean the entire day. If anything, there were other things the kids could of snacked on before the photo shoot and then she could give them all the ice cream they wanted. I have seen photo shoots at the MK, and most of the time, the kids are sticky, having shirts with chocolate smears but are so happy!
