Anyone one else watching this DISCOVERY CHANNEL show? Its about the parents (JON AND KATE) and their 8 children (2 six-year-old multiples and 6 two-year-old multiples). Tonights episode recount their trip to a local kiddie amusement park. What got a GASP!!! from me is they revealed they are planning a road trip (from CT) to WDW !!! WHOA is all I can say to that!!

I've watched the show a few times. I can't imagine going anywhere with so many kids at such a young age.:scared1:

My family is addicted! It makes our life seem so calm!

That is the only show I record to watch the new episodes!! I too heard them mention the trip to WDW so I am sure that will be an upcomming show. I have to hand it to them for trying to give the children every experience in life.

There was a post a while ago that someone saw them at WDW!. They had 4 double strollers and I think 4 adults. I don't see how that woman stays so calm all the time? Maybe she takes medication? I saw an episode where she was trying to hire a cleaning lady to help and she said that she mops her kitchen floor 3 times a day. I'm lucky if I mop mine once a week, I don't know how she does it. She must be so super organized. I can't wait to see the WDW episode.

Dh and I have no children, but we LOVE that show!! We get such a kick out of watching them bicker and are completely amazed at how they pull it all together. The kids are just hillarious! My DH laughs out loud at everything those kids do!! :rotfl2:

This is one of my favorite shows! It makes me realize that the stress I get from my 10 month old once in a while, is NOTHING compared to having that many young ones!

The family is from PA and will be driving from there to WDW. Still a very looooong ride!

I watch that show too -- when I remember that it's on. I saw the amusement park episode and was amazed. I'm thinking of driving from NJ to WDW with my 2 kids who are 9 and 12 (will be 9 and 13 at the time of my still just mental vacation) and I'm wondering if I can do the drive myself. I can't imagine driving with 8 young kids!

Did you catch the part when they were leaving the house and all the kids were saying "bye" "bye" "bye"? Can you imagine the "are we there yets?"

I watch the show with my kids sometimes and I am just amazed at how organized mom is. Mopping the floor 3 times a day? No way! Wiping the stove how many times? No wonder none of the housekeepers wanted the job.

The bickering gets to me too. I know we only see a tiny slice of their day and the show can be edited to show them any way the producers want to but she does seemed very demanding some times. She acts like he is her 9th child.

I think with the house cleaning and the way she acts that control is very important to her. Having that many kids on one toddler age must be like loosing control.

I just watched this show last night for the first time. I saw them on Ellen and became intrigued. All that I can say is WOW! I only have one DD 19 months and I think she is tought! I cannot imagine 6 at the same age!

I love that show, too! It's one of a few have set to record every week.

It amazes me what they can get done with so many kids. (There's times I'm behind at the end of the day with one!) I can't imagine the Disney trip!

We saw them during out July trip! We were at WL and they were checking in. The kids are so cute and our family might just be in the background of some of the shots!! We were walking in as they were filming! I love the show I think its so cute!

I saw the episode where they went to the amusement park! i gasped too!!
She does seem to bicker a lot with him, it's kind of annoying. and also i noticed the kids cry a LOT.......and there was a lot of arm grabbing and forceful movements to me. There seems to be control issues with the mom.
but hey I don't have 8 kids and can't even imagine what their day to day life is like. I would probably need medication......:rotfl2:

I'm a fan of the show. Had no idea they are planning to go to WDW. Good luck to Jon and Kate!!

I've seen the show a few times. I think the show is edited in a way that you aren't going to get a REAL picture of the entire day/life they live.

I have twins who were preemies, and I can tell you when they were small there was definitely some bickering in my house like that. And being organized is essential, otherwise feedings, medications are late, and you get absolutely NOTHING done. I can't imagine how it must be with 8! Bickering here (and I would imagine it's similar for her) was usually because dh had/has no clue what is involved in feeding, packing, dressing both kids when we went/go someplace. Even if I showed him what we needed to do 10 times, he STILL wouldn't do it unless I asked him - It gets annoying when you have to repeatedly ask for help - I mean by the time they are 3 or 4 y/o you've been out and about enough that everyone should know the routine!

Also - the mopping - I wonder if she means a quick sort of "swiffer jet" kind of mopping. I say that because I remember when my 2 were younger I had to use a hand held vac to get all the food off the floors/walls/chairs after meals, and I definitely mopped more often...that was with just twins! Can you imagine what it looks like after mealtimes at their house?! :scared1: I'd probably mop 3 times a day as well.

I don't really care for the show either. I find her rather annoying and also for my life (I had 3 children w/i 13 months) so unrealistic. Seriously- I have three around the same age and can't get ONE person to babysit. Yet they seem to have volunteers all the time? Huh? No one wants to watch 3 the same age but they want 8??? Or is b/c they're on TV?

I love that show! Kate is an absolute control freak and it makes the show!

I realize that she has to be organized to keep her house running that smoothly, but she seems to go above and beyond. Her attitude towards her husband seems to be "I'm right, you're stupid."

Anyway, I can't wait to see the trip to WDW! Does anyone remember the Dilly's? They are a family of sextuplets from Indiana, I believe. I think it was Dateline who did an update on them every year - one year they went to WDW b/c Disney offered them a free trip before the kids turned 3 or something.

I love the show!!!

It's great! I can't even imagine taking care of that many kids at one time! Although I do have classes of 35 kindergarteners...:lmao:

The parents do argue, but seem to love each other and do nice things for each other. Everyone has their quirks, and I guess Kate's is to be super in charge and super organized! :confused3 The kids seem pretty happy, and it's fun to watch!

I also like Little People, Big World...I'll be watching both of them tomorrow!
