I have read here for awhile but have never posted. I do have a question, though. Why is it considered "bashing" Jon and Kate if someone makes a remark about them that someone else doesn't agree with ? I've never accused anyone of "bashing" just because their opinion is different from mine. But most of those tours are for people over 16Not that the conductor did anything wrong by sharing the info, but bashing Jon and Kate over saying it went over the kid's heads is ridiculous.

I'm not trying to single anyone out but quoted the above solely as an example. I happened to think that it was ungrateful of Jon and Kate to be anything but gracious in the situation. Does this opinion make me a basher ?
I didn't comment on their nice comments about Sesame Place. I didn't think that was necessary since IMO some nice remarks were in order to perhaps show some appreciation to the Sesame Place people for helping facilitate the filming.

I just had to post this here.
Yesterday I spent the day at my BFF's house. She has a 5 yo and 18 month old triplets. She is home with the kids and has a nanny come in to help on the weekdays from 9-5. Her DH has his own business which she takes care of all the financials for, like payroll, ext... All I could think of while there was Jon and Kate plus 8!!! I saw first hand just how hard it is to take care of her kids, even when you have help. She still had a house to clean, wash to do, food to make, toys to clean up, etc....She still has to be a good mom to her older child, and a wife to her husband(if you catch my drift) She is exhausted all the time. It is hard most days and that doesn't even cover how hard it is financially, and they have money! These kids require a lot of "things" and when she told me her food bill I nearly fainted!LOL My point is, that age old saying, "until you walk a day in my shoes" really holds true. We can sit here and judge all we want at petty stupid things, but at the end of the day J & K are doing their best. I really have a lot of respect for them, and for my BFF!!
Because a lot of people are bashing them. Disagreeing with how they do certain things is one thing, but watching solely for the reason of finding things to point out and complain about is bashing. Other sites are worse but even on here things have gotten ugly. Complaining about Jon and Kate leaving their sunglasses on while talking to someone is bashing... that's such a common thing that everyone does, and that no one I've ever known or met has found offensive, that continuing to talk bad about them for it is ridiculous, especially when the conductor himself had his sunglasses on
Again, I just don't understand why people continue to watch the show when all they do is complain about it, or worse. Don't they have anything better to do? At least Jon and Kate are out there doing things with their kids, regardless of how it's paid for. These people are sitting in the house watching a fun, family TV show and then running online to talk bad about the people on it... and they call Jon and Kate the "bad" ones![]()

The unique thing I'm finding is that the people who say disparaging things about the Gosselins are in turn having disparaging things said about them.

The unique thing I'm finding is that the people who say disparaging things about the Gosselins are in turn having disparaging things said about them. I read boards for other reality shows and people don't get called bad for talking about the participants in those shows, even the ones with parents and children in them.
It seems like it's real easy to say that if people don't like the show they can turn the channel. Wouldn't the people who don't like reading anything less than complimentary about the Gosselins be well advised to do likewise without commenting about what they've read on other boards ?
It just seems that all the negativity about other viewers and boards is unwarranted. If I wanted to see that other stuff, I wouldn't be here.
I said I wouldn't be back. And after reading everything up until this post ... I realllly won't be back. But in reading this post, I felt compelled to say thank you to this particular person ... because as I was reading the things that were said about me, I kept wondering why the very people who accused me of bashing ... were doing the EXACT same thing to me.
I'm glad someone else sees that.

Umm, that's called being a parent. And anyone that has "help" 9-5 Monday through Friday has no complaint.
Most of us manage just fine with 3+ children and don't have help ~ or lots of money.![]()

I'm sorry, but I can't stand this show, especially Kate.
That's great and you are certainly entitled to your opinion but I really don't understand the need for posts like this one.If I hated a show and noticed that it had a thread going for over 100 pages I would have zero desire to click on it.
