You're preaching to the choir, as far as I'm concerned. Totally agree with everything you say!

Unfortunatley, many people are so quick to judge without knowing the whole story.

Yep, I'm not there with them all the time, we see an hour in their lives, an hour that is heavily edited. I'm not going to make negative comments. Heck if people heard my DH and I on any given day you would think we hate each other...we're a lot like Jon and Kate. BUT we have been married 23 years and neither of us is running for the door..it is just how we are and how we've always been. The only thing I never did was that"hello" yell she did for him a few times on the show.

I'm amazed at some of the hostility people have for this show! I recently discovered this show a few weeks ago, and have been watching the reruns and coming up to speed.

It's a reality TV show, and of course having a camera in your face constantly will pick up everyone's "not-so-nice" moments. Those who are perfect in their lives may pass judgement, otherwise I think they're receiving some unfair criticism.

I have no clue what it's like to have eight children, and I'm guessing almost everyone else doesn't either. They appear to be doing the best they can, so my hats off to them. Everyone makes mistakes as a parent; but I don't believe everyone else has the added fun of having any mistakes they make televised nationally. Additionally, this show has provided Jon and Kate the opportunity to provide financial stability for the entire family (10 people! Think about how much that costs) for years to come. Who among us wouldn't jump at that opportunity? I don't have a huge problem with them taking advantage of the speaking engagements and other opportunities that have opened up for them. Strike while the iron's hot and make as much as you can.

I hope the show runs for a long time, and can't wait until all the sextuplets turn 15 or 16. Teenage drama x 6. You think the house is loud now, wait until high school begins

I completely agree as well
I would much rather see them making some money this way, rather than off of public assistance . i find it VERY hard to believe that most people in their circumstances wouldnt do the same

DH can't stand this show because of the way Kate speaks to Jon. DH is convinced that Jon stays out of the fear of having to pay child support for 8 kids!

According to Aunt Jodi's sister's blog, Jodi & her sister and their families went to WDW for Christmas.

Jon & Kate went to WDW at a different time.

wow, just watching the highlights show not a regular viewer, but if i'm channel flipping i'll watch it

anyway, just watched her rant about her husband and the 'ice cream at disney' incident i am sorry but she is beyond the stressed out mom, she is a self absorbed, rude, and obnixous person I think she has changed a great deal since the inception of the show and not for the better

Yowza, she was brutal to him tonight!! Jon's poor face looked so defeated. I love how her embarrassing moments all ended up being his fault, as well as his embarrassing moments being his fault. I agree with a PP who said that Kate has changed big time compared to the earliest episodes. I wonder if Jon being home more has made her feel resentful toward him.

Other than our wedding kiss, i don't believe my DH has kissed me on the mouth in front of anyone in the 20 1/2 yrs we've been together, and trust me, that isn't a sign that the thought of child support is the only thing keeping him from divorcing me. Some people just are not comfortable showing affection in front of others.

Tonight's episode was so disappointing for me. I was really hoping Kate would step up and admit she has made mistakes in the past. Instead, she just blamed poor Jon for all of the problems. She didn't make a scene at Toys-r-Us, it was Jon's fault for not keeping one eye on her and another on the kids so he could come when called. The ice cream at Disney episode was Jon's fault because he didn't ask her how she could help. She kept saying "A husband who loved his wife would...." Jon looked like he just wanted to be swallowed up by a whole.

Most of all I was hoping they would address the gum episode, as it was shown in the opening preview....but I'm sure Kate would have blamed that on Jon, too.

Tonight's episode seemed very uncomfortable all around. Jon was clearly not happy and she just kept on and on. I felt sorry for him!! I used to like Kate, but more and more I'm getting annoyed with her crap. I felt really bad for Jon tonight. Anyone else?

I hope they take a break from the show and just take some time to work on their familial relationships/friendships and their own relationship. I like them but, boy, their relationship sure seems different now than on their first special. I hope we're only seeing edited versions of what's really happening and don't have the whole story.

I totally agree. While I love the show, I think that real life, lifelong relationships are far more important than a tv show that may last another year or two.

Like I said, I love the show, but it is sad what seems to be happening with their family. Maybe its time to quit the show, and maybe do like a once-a-year, two hour update special or something.

Hopefully whatever is going on in their personal lives can be worked out without doing too much permanent damage.
