LOL...while technically she probably does look the least Asian/Korean, she still looks it.

Great episode. I coudl so totally relate to Kate and the kitchen. I love it when DH cooks for me, but it just throws me off really bad. I can't listen to someone moving around in "my" kitchen.
Loved seeing her on the laptop in bed. We rarely see her have down time at home. I think with the kids getting older, she is finally able to relax a little in her own home

I am really liking the themed episodes.

I agree...great episode!! Jon did great cooking and the kids were so cute, as usual! Loved when one of the boys said to Jon, "I am your son!" They are so adorable and getting cuter all the time! And, good for Kate for relaxing for once!

After that episode now I am going to have to have some fried rice for lunch tomorrow - it looked yummy! Anyone find Jon's recipe anywhere? :)

The kids really showed me up when they scarfed down those wasabi peas - I always eat them soooo cautiously because I think they're H-O-T - and they just popped them in like nothing! Though I guess there were a couple funny faces at first bite

Wasabi peas!

I knew I've seen them before couldn't remember what they were - I was calling them spiced nuts! Leah's face when she ate one was priceless though!

I had to laugh with Joel smelling the fruit in the asian market. That was a great episode, I enjoyed watching Jon cook and it really did look very tasty.
The kids discussing who is more asian was funny, speaking of which I think Hannah looks hawaiian. They are all beautiful kids!

I agree - after my slight disappointment with last week's episode, I thought this epi would be the same. But I loved it! Great kid comments and nice family time overall. Those kids are just too darn cute. I'd love to just spend the day with them and listen to all the funny/cute things they must say.

it will always been known that Kate put a barfy child on the laundry room floor and closed the door, leaving him all alone. (which I find sadder than the cupcake thing, actually)

.

You know, I actually understand this because I have done something similar when my son had the stomach flu, except that I put him on a folded comforter on the bathroom floor. It was going to be much easier to clean up a mess on that floor than out of the carpet in his room.

With the door closed, the other children wouldn't be bugging him, and he could rest, but still be close enough to them that they could check on him frequently or hear him if he called for them. It isn't like they abandoned him.

My sister just got me into this show. I have to admit that the kids are adorable. My favorite kid overall is the one older girl -Maddie -she's so smart and sassy. Of the 6 my favorite is Collin. I can understand why Kate gets frustrated with John although he seems like a really nice guy and good Dad.

On the Mother's Day episode when Jon was cooking Kate breakfast he said something about Joel being a "daddy's boy". It's so cute when Joel says he's daddy's son. When Jon's trainer asked him his name he said, "Daddy's son" and then last night he said it again to Jon. :lovestruc So Cute.

Good episode last night :thumbsup2

I think that Hannah and Collin look a lot alike.
Correct me if I am wrong, but after Jon seperated the onions, didn't they just all get dumped together in that pan on the stove????

LOL about the onions. Why didn't he just cut the ones that were whole on the cutting board. He had to use the ones Kate cut to use later and kept arguing with her when she said she didn't cut them for him.
I think it was a perfect example of how they both interact with each other, we are just usually seeing Kate doing it.

Something odd I noticed last night. They really didn't show Cara other than the back of her head. I think they showed her face 1x at the end and maybe profile when the twins came in from school. I wonder if she is starting to withdraw from the camera, or if she just wasn't feeling good or something.
Then again it would hard to give all 8 kids equal camera time, especially when Mady and Cara didn't get home until right near the end.

ETA: I'm assuming he didn't add the green part until the end. A lot or recipes do call for that

Yes he did which I don't understand why he seperated them? And they got dumped in all at the same time.

Just wanted to mention that for those of you who didn't believe the blogger is actually Jodi's sister, she has now put up a family photo taken this past Christmas. Also, last night's episode was the first to show Jenny, the new helper that Jodi's sister wrote about a while back. So, it really is her.

I hope she realizes that she's just making things worse....:sad2:

It was soooo cute when Leah yelled, "Everyone is Asian!"

I know!! I rewinded that a couple times so I could watch it again!!

Plus bonus for me... Last night I FINALLY could tell Leah and Alexis apart!! When Jon left to go to the store I thought, that's Alexis and I was so happy when I found out I was right!!

Wasn't Jenny the one that Kate interviewed about the helper job on a previous episode?

ETA: I don't know and don't care if the blogger is Jodi's sister or not. Who ever it is, the person obviously has serious issues.
