it's easy to get turned around on this thread. LOL... I had to go back and make sure I wasn't saying what I what I claimed I didn't say. and I've found that occasionally I'll say something and the next thing I know, someone else is sort of agreeing with it and adds something I didn't really say and the next thing you know, it looks like I said a cat has 2 heads when what I really said was the dog is yellow.

I think she'd rather be adored by fans at a speaking engagement than abhorred by Jon in a courtroom. Just sayin'.

I'd say you're right. Although, I'm still not sure this is the right event for Kate... spending 10 minutes on a side stage promoting an old book. Obviously, Maria Shriver thought it was and that's all that counts, though.

Yeah--I must be missing something.

Having seen some pretty ugly Jon and Kate boards--I feel this board fully complies.

In fact it seems folks have commented on how kindly folks disagree (not so true on other boards that filter out dissent by not approving dissenting post and allow anything that is "anti" J&K.

Maybe I miss the rude posts b/c they are deleted.

I thought I was keeping up with this thread pretty well since it began all of two weeks ago. Maybe I'm the troublemaker.

While I think it's safe to assume that Kate is/was unaware of this visit, maybe she knew. Maybe she & Kevin have cleared the air or reached an understanding that they could visit if she wasn't home.

Or maybe they didn't... and this may create more problems.

Jodi sure looked happy to be there, though... and like Kidshop, I'm glad that they're able to see the kids. I'm hesitant to go much further than that.

One thing I think is interesting ... there have been several family members at the house when Jon is staying at the house. His mother, brother, Kate's brother ... and those are just ones we know of. Whether that has always been the way and we're just being made aware of it now, I am not sure that it matters. What we're seeing is that the children do, in fact, see their extended family from time to time. And that's a good thing. I hope there are many more around that the media doesn't tell us about, as well!

I agree! If we have to find a silver lining in the cloud of this divorce, I think it can be this. It makes me so happy to hear that Madi spent a day with her grandmother (a while back) and the picture of Jodi and Kevin walking up the driveway almost got me choked up. Despite what happened, I really believe that they love the kids and have their best interests at heart, even more so than Jon and Kate (in some instances). I can just imagine how thrilled the Gosselin kids were to see their cousins, and hug their aunt and uncle.

I'm confused. Those two (Jodi and Kevin) were the ones that went public in their interview. What do you mean what is good for the goose etc? I don't think I have seen Kate bring anyone into the house that Jon wouldn't want there, or would upset him.

Too bad she didn't love them enough to handle her issues with those two privately.

The plot thickens.

We get more reports of rude and attacking behavior on this thread than any other on the whole site. And we delete a lot of rude posts here.

What is it about a family on a television show that brings out the urge in several people here to be rude to one another?

Because this show/subject seems to inspire such frequent rude behavior, I'm *very* close to simply closing this topic and not permitting it to be restarted.

I don't think so. This thread stays tame for the most part, but there are a few that like to stir the pot every once in awhile. I won't even go to other sites anymore because the hatred is so out of hand it is disturbing.

I have never watched a full show of Jon&Kate but I am thinking of watching the show on Monday. Who is with me?
After reading the "Z" article that it might be fun to play the drinking game like "BOB" only I will take a drink every time Kate says "We cannot go back, only forward", "Everything I do is for my kids", "I take the high road", "It's difficult but I am working on my new attitude, Can do Kate!"
Any other words of "Kate"dom I should look for?
Also, do you think 2 bottles of something will be enough for the 1 hour show if I limit it to a shot with each word of "Kate"dom?

So I was looking at the ROL pics of Kevin & Jody. I think it is great if they are reuniting, but of course I am cynical. Is Jon just doing this to get back at Kate? And why are the kids playing right in front of the paps?

Also, where has it been stated that Kate cute her parents out of their lives? I thought Jon mentioned over the summer about how his parents were more hands on and hers were "drop by" grandparents or something like that. I didn't get from what he said that they were estranged. Plus we did see the pic of Kate & a sister from a couple of months ago. I don't think the family is as estranged as it has been made out to be.

I don't know if Kate cut her parents out of her life, but I don't think they have a relationship. Jon himself said...maybe on LKL, but I'm not sure about that, that Kate's parents aren't in their lives. I know he also said one of Kate's sisters doesn't talk to the parents either.

I know it isn't in writing anywhere, but Kate has 3 sisters and I don't believe she has a relationship with any of them either. I think Kevin is the only one she stayed in touch with. I don't have proof of that, but WAY back, before I even found this thread, I read a blog by Kate's youngest sister, Clarissa I think, where she talked about not having a relationship with Kate or the kids. And with ALL the media attention, I think if Kate's family was around, we would have seen or heard about it by now. 2 of her sisters live nearby in PA and one lives in Toledo. I can't imagine how no family members are ever, ever even mentioned (other than Kevin) if they had any kind of relationship at some time there would have been something. Never have you heard anyone say "We are going to your aunt's house tomorrow" or "Let's make a craft for Grandma." Or "The kids had their cousins over on Saturday" nothing, ever, nada. I used to think they just didn't want to be on TV, but not to EVER be even mentioned in passing? Not to maybe go to court with Kate for support? Not to have a sister go with you to a book signing or appearance? Nope, I don't think we ever see or hear about them, because there isn't anything there to see or hear about it.

One of her sister's was photographed at her house while visiting. It was unusual, but maybe they don't want to be a part of the show.
Is it Kate's parents that don't want hands on with the kids? I thought both Kate and Kevin said that. I don't think it was Jon's parents, because his dad used to be a part of the family, and his mom has been mentioned several times.

It is just a check in, IMO. Outstanding issues:
Has Jon repaid the $$ required?
Has Kate provided an accounting for the $$ she withdrew?
Are they any closer to coming to an agreement through mediation?

By my reading of PA divorce law (remember I am not a lawyer) this case is by no means over and Kate may well be represented by her atty tomorrow. This hearing is pretty much peanuts.

PA divorce law puts priority on a mediated no-fault divorce re. division of assets and deciding physical and legal custody (physical and legal custody are 2 different things in PA). Priority is always given to the welfare of the children. Only if mediation totally fails (and that could take a few years because the judge could send them to counseling and back to mediation indefinitely) will it go to a full court hearing .

An educated guess -- this judge has ample reason to delay declaring the divorce final. Do not expect to see that soon. There are so many outstanding issues regarding the well-being of the children, and that filming question is still out there and the Dept of Labor investigation. He will take all this stuff into consideration and delay for a bit.

I do want him to appoint a GAL for the children. Badly. It is way past time

He might have some choice things to say about the bird-nesting agreement and Jon's behavior tomorrow, and might hand out a gag order or two, but I am not holding my breath for anything dramatic happening. At all.

Do you think Kate would be willing to work it out with them? Maybe they would like to be in the kids lives before they are 18. Family is imporant and the only one who would make the kids choose sides would be IMO, Kate. Adults can generally work stuff like this out for the sake of the kids, so they can have as many adults who love them in their life as possible. This is about the kids and what is best for them not Kate.

Jon did not have nice things to say about Jodi either, but he seems to be able to admit when he is wrong, admit making mistakes and try to do better.

Jon stated on LKL that he had called Jodi that day. It makes her appearance at the house less shocking IMO. But I would have been shocked if Kate had made the first move with Jodi.

Since TLC launched its lawsuit against Jon, it's much more apparent how TLC controlled what Jon and Kate were allowed to say about the show and what they could say in response to criticism. There is no way of knowing whether Jon believed anything he said about the show before the LKL interview (which seems to be the point at which he decided not to obey the gag order re the show) or whether he was just trying to avoid being held in breach of contract.

OMG I hate Jon right now. He must sit around & think of things that will crush Kate. The thought of those scum bags in her house makes me ill.
