I saw it at a Yard Sale for 25 cents or 5 for a dollar.

I'd expect that at a yard sale though! I sell books at prices like that or donate them to Friends of the Library for them to resell.

So, tell me someone didn't have 5 copies of the book, right? You mean 5 books for 1.00 of their choosing, right?

How sad about those Dionne Quints. They really had a miserable life and then you have the Gosselin's doing the exact same thing. It is really too bad that the Gosselin children have to bond with their film crew as they never have other children over to play with. It doesn't matter that there is 8 of them. Children still like to have school friends or neighbors over. They have that big house and other than film crew, Daddy's girlfriends and paps, its empty!

I just checked on Amazon and they have sellers selling "Multiple Blessings" for one cent. Boy that must be a real popular book! On another website they said Kate should of named the book "Multiple Dollarsigns"!

I would expect that, at a yard sale since I don't think it's a keeper book (I'd actually pick them up for reselling LOL). I was surprised to get two Harry Potter books for .25 each at a rummage sale though. Those I'd keep if I had actually been interested in reading them..well, except I resold them on eBay LOL.
Multible Blessings sells this past week (when it sells) for anywhere from $ .99 to 11.98 on eBay (plus shipping).

Just curious. I had read that the Dionnes got no payment..that the government sort of took them over. Is that true? I have an old magazine here in my 'to sell' area with them on the cover..I may have to look it up and actually read it.

I stopped watching The View about a year ago. They did a "behind the scenes" type show and I found out that everything is so staged. I thought it was spontaneous and they had a list of Hot Topics and the Moderator would choose a few to discuss on air. They said on that show that they pick them ahead of time and that just turned me off. I also found out Joy has a joke writer, also a turnoff for me.

staged? what? a reality show is staged?

Even if it is staged .. they can't really stage how Kate is going to do in front of a live audience with a variety of topics. I'll be curious to see how "hot" the topics are today.

I'll admit I'm not a fan of The View (maybe because my mom is such a big fan that she drives me crazy talking about it ) but I'm going to watch today just because I'm sooooooo curious.

I'm taping it..I've learned that I usually have to go back and check out what was really said when Kate or Jon is on anything, since the paps (and some boards) often post just sections which make the meanings different LOL.

I saw the movie about the Dionne Quints. It was so sad. The Canadian Government stole those girls from their parents because they were "poor" They were raised by government workers not foster parents. The parents would try to visit & they were turned away. By the time the parents got them back they were afraid of them.

Me, I'm way too curious not to watch today. I used to love The View, but I don't watch much anymore. Joy and Elizabeth drive me crazy and when Barbara is on, it is just a being commercial for her book or whatever else she is doing, specials, interviews, ect...

OK. it's clear (to me, anyway) that Whoopi is setting the tone of the show .. they're NOT even addressing Kate's time in the media or the show or anything. We're only 8 minutes in, though.

Kate Gosselin is a single mom. We get that. But if she stopped working tomorrow, they would NOT be back at the Salvation Army. I am SO sick of the idea that they must keep doing this show for their income.

If Kate wants to work, then she should work .. it seems as though she's trying to make that happen.

But to suggest that they must keep doing this show to put food on the table (support the family) is ridiculous.

And if they DO have to continue the show to support the family? Then where's allll that money from the other seasons and projects?

She lapsed right back into the ums as soon as it got out of her comfort zone.
