nope. that's not what I'd say. :lmao:

I'd say, we know the paps follow you. get over it. move on. I don't want to hear about it every week.

everything else about the show is altered reality, so I don't see why leaving the paps out of it is a big deal. I mean, they don't show the trips to the grocery or other parts of their real reality. why keep mentioning the tabloids? IMO, it just keeps people interested in what they (the tabloids) have to say and in turn, interested in the show. which, in the end, is what Kate wants.

I'm pretty sure they both agreed to be on lot of the tabloids covers, and they get paid so, it's what they wanted, right?

I wonder if Kate has considered that if she is stressed by the paparazzi, maybe the kids are suffering as well?

Loved the show last night! It was enjoyable watching Kate try new things and bond with her sons, and weren't they the most handsome little cowboy's?
I also found it endearing to watch Jon play dress up with the girls, very sweet. They both seem more relaxed and able to enjoy the kids. :thumbsup2

Loved it when Aaden commented that "we can do whatever we want with mommy gone". And when Collin spoke of "enjoying everything without the girls". Joel talking about the chicken feet being disgusting. Alexis looking like a rock star. All 8 of those kids are so precious.

I didn't see any photos of them going off to school today on Radaronline. Hopefully, the paps have moved on from that.

Z on TV (from the Baltimore Sun) on last night's episode.[/QUOTE

I don't watch the show anymore, but from this article it sounds like another high end vacation that a normal family couldn't afford. I hope Jon is able to still have contact with his kids after the divorce is final. The dress up sounds more like the episodes the show started out as(good times). Its obvious Jon is done with the show--he has admitted it several times. On the other hand, his x other half will do anything to keep in the limelight.
I would say there probably was paparazzi, but this place was so secluded and guarded that even their lenses couldn't capture anything. I think TLC picks and chooses when they want the paps visible for sympathy reasons.
I hate rodeos so even if I still enjoyed the show, I wouldn't of watched it anyways. Just IMO!

I agree. It was really one of the sweetest episodes. Kate was very relaxed with the boys, I would've freaked if one of my kids was licking cooked chicken feet with the nails still on! Eeew! She looked like she had a great time and the boys looked thrilled to be there with her as well. So adorable. And I loved the matching cowboy outfits!:thumbsup2 DH chuckled too when the boys said they were enjoying it without the girls!

The scavenger hunt was fun to watch too, it was cute to see the little girls excited when they found something. Jon was hilarious with them. I laughed so hard when he put the hat on because I too remember how he was chastised for it, people thought he was mocking Kate. It was very sweet how they all dressed up. Leah looked so darling. This is why I haved loved the show in the past, it was so fun to watch the kids. Although, it is sad to realize the reason it was so enjoyable was that Jon and Kate weren't together. Hopefully they'll be better parents this way and can find a way to work together amiably.

we've been in school since August 6... between the kids' activities, church, and my involvement with the PTO, it's CRAZY. And I only have 2 at home now, my oldest is in college. LOL!

we leave in 29 days. :cool1: I do so love fall break!

Have a great time, Doris!

We'll be there then too. :)

You are all so lucky to have your trips to look forward to. We went 8/14-8/21
We had a great time, but too short. Weather was great, especially since we have had such a rainy summer.

Z on TV (from the Baltimore Sun) on last night's episode.

Although he's not really saying anything that we haven't already posted here at one time or another, it is a little shocking to see all of the criticisms strung together like that. He's right, but it comes across as very negative.

I'm pretty sure they both agreed to be on lot of the tabloids covers, and they get paid so, it's what they wanted, right?

This is an excellent point. :thumbsup2 JMHO, how could they not be? I know my DD would be stressed just by me being stressed -- add a bunch of cameras and pushy people? :scared1::scared1::scared1:

ok .. that's (maybe 4?) from this thread there at the same time! wow!

I just got back & it was fabulous :dance3:The parks were not very crowed....we have been going at Christmas.

Well, you're so lucky you just went!:goodvibes I have 54 more days to go and the days are going s-l-o-w! Was it terribly hot? We're thinking of doing the end of August next year and I'm curious. :goodvibes

I got a text this morning from a friend at the AK today .. they've been walking on stuff all day!

it will be more crowded than that in early October, but still not bad at all!

We're going next weekend with friends too who are taking their 6 month old baby girl for her first trip - very excited to be a part of that! :goodvibes I'm trying hard to talk DH into going to the Poly for Christmas and using the 40% off code we got.

As for J&K, I didn't watch last night's show yet but reading here, I can't wait to watch it! I love cute kids!! :goodvibes

Ironic! I have a DIS friend at AK today! :upsidedow They were Epcot last night and said it was way too hot for them. LOL It's "normal" for us right now so it shouldn't be too bad next week.

I think (just my opinion) that they both want to be on them to undo what the other said..and I wonder if there is something in the contract about it, since it does promote the show.

Until you wrote that, I was thinking that Kate was stressed with the paps because of the kids. I never considered she wasn't, but I could be wrong. I couldn't believe they were waiting outside the dentists office. That scares me a bit to think they could have been following them there from their home.

One thing that really struck me about last night's episode was the difference in the attitudes between Jon and Kate.

At one point, Jon said something like "I live in New York now. It's so nice to go back there and be alone. It's always so busy here I like to leave."

And at the end of the show, Kate was talking about the boys and saying "They're a great bunch of boys. I'm honored to be their mom."

Talk about two totally different people!

What do you mean, walking on stuff?

We usually go in the colder months, but we're going with my daughter and her family and the kids are too old to miss school so and not have unhappy teachers so , yikes, it's hot September we're going this year.

Interesting piece of this article about wild fires and the lack of coverage some feel they're getting:

Elsewhere in the Times, writer Mary McNamara, who, with her family, was displaced from her La Crescenta home by the Station Fire, was puzzled by the blackout about her threatened neighborhood: "If only Kate Gosselin lived in La Crescenta," McNamara ruminated. Earlier, Pat Morrison lamented the on-air void created by news channel KFWB's conversion to a conservative radio talk-show format.
