I'll tell you what makes me sick about Jon wanting to be "just Jon". That is since the breakup he has been out partying and now apparently trying to hang out with the rich and famous. If he truly wanted to be just Jon, he would be keeping a low profile instead of doing all of the crazy stuff he has been doing lately. I personally think that he loves the attention. What a jerk!

I agree. The whole Jon just wanted out of the show isn't logically given the way he has jumped into the whole party life crowd. Jon seems to be drifting, no direction. At least Kate seems to be confident and secure.

I agree...the show played a huge part in the break up. Although, I think it was ALMOST as likely that they would have broken up anyway with the stress of 8 kids and money being tight.

I agree with this. I think the marriage would be in trouble either way.

We don't really know whether they ever did counselling -- I'd think that since they kept their separation a secret for a rumoured 2 years, counselling sessions could also have been kept secret.

Now, I'm not saying Jon is a saint, but it was made pretty clear by both him and Kate that he wanted out of the show and she wanted to keep doing it. That kind of disagreement has to take it's toll on a marriage, and IMO, is much bigger hurdle than somebody getting their ears pierced. For Pete's sake, does Jon have to be so hen-pecked that he's not allowed to get his ears pierced if he wants to?

BTW, it was Kate who said that she wouldn't marry Jon if she had it to do over again, not the other way around. I just think it's too much to expect a person to pretend they're somebody they're not for the sake of a TV show that they don't want to do. If Jon wants to be the snowboarding, earring-wearing person that he was before the show, I have no problem with that.

Kate said she wouldn't marry Jon all over again? I haven't read all the links yet but I'm sure I'd be saying that also if I was her. She's probably wondering "who is he?" and all that goes with that. Right about now, I'm wondering about about a topic we can't discuss here so I'll just move on. Jon's a father of 8--not a party boy.

I can see why the edited it. TLC should in no way document the parents dating. That is sick. And cruel. Cruel to those children. My mom has a BF and I do not want to know anything about her dates with him--I esp. would not want it televised. I hope it was edited because they decided against such a nauseating idea.

He loves the attention he gets from being "Jon and Kate plus 8" no matter what he said before. He was only complaining about it because it was then that the media was finding out about his girlfriends. Now that all of that is out he is happy to be getting all this attention.

I don't think Jon was ever real comfy expressing himself in front of the camera. I'm sure Kate didn't help that in anyway. But he started the not liking it and not wanting to do it anymore when the marriage was crumbling and he was being found out about his seeing other women. It wasn't just "I don't like this anymore" type thing. There was a reason he didn't like the show. Too many cameras seeking him out--how can you cheat on your wife with a camera following you?

I think Jon in the hat is a cute pic. It might make Kate mad. Although she could say it is another side of Jon we all do not know yet!!

This stuff it what upsets me so much about tabloids. These aren't girls he invited over...they are fans looking to say hi/get a picture or what not.

It's not like he was leaving the bar with THESE 2 ladies. He was talking to them through a fence and so they put an article out about him loving the single life.

Just like the hat thing...it was funny in my opinion. He could have been playing dress up with the girls. No one knows...but people make money on whatever story they want to make up that fits the picture they got....like the girls at the fence.

I'm sure Jon is loving the single life but talking to those women don't prove that at all.

exactly! so he talked to a few females that stopped by to take pictures, no biggie. Then the hat picture? It's not even the same hat Kate was wearing..hers was white but it was a cloth hat that came down low over her forehead.


I am not a huge fan of Jon, never have been since I always felt that he just wasn't all that into doing all the family stuff without Kate making him...but sometimes you have to just take a picture for what it is and not make it something sensational.

Thinking out loud here but maybe Jon was sick of pretending. It seemed like Jon went from Kate's sidekick on the couch to him sulking and not wanted to be there anymore. Maybe he didn't want to carry on the charade of everything is hunky dory for the cameras anymore.

Jon & Kate want to be left alone by the papparazzi but Jon visits fans in the front of his house--meanwhile Kate takes a different approach and models her bikinis for them. These two deserve each other!!! I just feel sorry for the 8 kids that have to witness this behavior!

Jon Gosselin said in a new video that claims the Gosselin children have been overworked by their aunt, Jodi Kreider, are "ridiculous," especially coming from someone who hasn't been around the family for months, the 32-year-old said outside a Wernersville, Pennsylvania UPS store Thursday.

He said that he hasn't spoken to Jodi's husband, Kevin, since January and wasn't particularly close with him even when the clan was on better terms.

"They don’t even know where we live," he said of the Kreiders.

Gosselin implied the Kreiders couldn't possibly be credible sources of inside info, adding, "They were only in seasons one and two, anyway."

He countered the exploitation implications by saying that his kids aren't as exploited as their fame-hungry aunt and uncle would have one think.

"My kids probably film an hour and half to two hours a day and we only film three days a week," he said. "For Kevin and Jodi to go out there and say were filming eight hours a day and it’s hard core, that’s ridiculous."

He said his children have built a rapport with the show's production personnel, adding his kids love the camera crew.

"They make nicknames for them," he said. "We all get along and play together. It’s comfortable for the kids to film. They look at this [filming] as life. No one has ever forced them to do anything. I’ve never forced them to film. We don’t force them to do anything they don’t want to do. They’re not actors and actresses. They just do their normal things.”

Both he and his wife Kate "love our kids" and have "always been there for them," the reality TV dad said.

"The whole premise of the show was to save money for the kids," Jon said. "Kate and I's number one priority are our kids."

Hmmm, how are they the priority when Jon is running around with the flavor of the week, when he and Kate have barely been separated? I would think that Cara and Maddy have heard something about it from their friends.

I really do hope they have been saving money for the kids, between 2 houses, Jon's new place, Kate looking for a new place, and the new vehicles, that is a lot of cash going out and I don't see their show lasting too much longer. I hope they have savings.

how can he claim that the filming is only an hour or two per day when they've aired entire episodes that show their comings and goings during outings and vacations? when they went to sesame place, thomas the train and other outings the kids were out for hours on end with the cameras tagging along. they've shown what was represented as entire days in the gosselin household complete with the kids waking, having breakfast, going out on outings and returning home in the evening. how is that an hour or two?

i think we have people looking at this from different mindsets. j&k seem to view the "filming" as whatever process the kids have to do staged things, couch interviews, film the intros to the show....i think what others are trying to say is that the filming process that goes on for hours on end, and is potentialy having a negative impact is what they are talking about.

i know that allot of people have drawn comparrisions between j&k+8 and the truman show. i can see that-but at least in "trumans" case he was initialy unaware of all of the manipulation and controversy regarding his "life", in the gosselin kids case i suspect they are all too aware.

I think you're right. on all counts.

By their own admission, it takes several hours of footage to get a show. Do they just film and put together a show, based on whatever they can get from that day's shoot (which really would seem like a "reality" show to me) or are there set up shots, retakes, planned footage, etc? What happens if they don't get the shot?

Jon and Kate have always been "the ends justify the means" kind of parents when it comes to the children their show. I think they've talked the talk so often they really believe what they're trying to sell.

I don't think money was tight. I think they just way over-spent.

The Duggars have 18 kids and are debt free and live very well and I don't think they even make what J&K do.

I don't see Kate ever guarding against fame or money....she seemed to thrive on wanting both.

However, I think that they both made the decision to continue with the show and so they both knew that they needed to be more careful and guard against the kind of stress that goes along with instant fame and money. I think in light of their very unique situation, I would have had the twins is meet with a family counselor for a while after the babies were born and then I would have them all going now. Not sure they would't have been going the whole time they were doing the show.

As swingin' single Jon Gosselin gets comfy in his New York bachelor pad, it appears Kate Gosselin is making plans to move on as well.

A source confirms to E! News that Kate, who currently shares the family's large Pennsylvania home with her eight kids, has purchased a condo in Rockville, Md.

What's in Maryland—and Rockville, in particular—you ask? Well, for one thing, it's safe. Kate's bodyguard, Steve Neild, lives only about a mile away from her new digs.

Hmmm...

Though it's J.Goss who's been making all the hookup headlines lately, rumors are flying that Neild could be more than muscle in Kate's eyes.

A source close to the Gosselins told E! that the estranged couple's divorce will be finalized in September.

Timing is everything, isn't it?
