I wonder if she is doing laundry at all. That would be be one of the first things I would give up if I had millions! I bet part of it is to keep them little and well, controlled.

she had laundry help for quite a while. she did the wash, but others put it away and ironed.

Why on earth is Kate fighting so hard to hang on to this marriage? it's obvious that neither one (no one person is at fault here, IMO) wants to be married to the other...

Did I miss an article? I'm not sure Kate is fighting hard to hang onto her marriage. I assume that TLC and their contract may be fighting for them to stay together. I don't think they are a good match, in any case, never have.

good point. what I was getting at is the money aspect. I'm assuming that Kate is hanging onto the show for the money, I mean, kids .. I hadn't really considered TLC's involvement in the whole thing.

IMO, it's either very expensive to get out of that contract, or Jon & Kate don't want to.

The one thing on the show that I'm tired of is how big they make everything. For example, when they moved, they were all sitting around the table and they made the big announcement; when they got puppies, Kate had to have this big announcement and all the attention on her. I know the announcement was for us to see on the show but I don't care for that part of the show.

I don't see what's so unusual about that. If we have a big event in our family we talk about it at the dinner table as a family.

kate is always away with the six and jon stays at home with the twins is because kate get a lot more attention when she is with the six.. she is never just with the twins..

I must be missing something, because I don't recall seeing Kate always out with the six kids.

If they do get counseling, I really hope they keep it private. Jon has an issue with the cameras as it is, I can't see him wanting to participate in counseling that's being filmed.

TV Guide had a poll and 90% said Jon and Kate should stop taping and work on their marriage.

Other than some of the folks posting on this thread, I don't know of anyone personally who is still watching this train wreck.. A large group of us up here were discussing this recently and no one feels comfortable supporting a show that has the very real potential of causing further emotional trauma to 8 little children who have no say in the matter whatsoever..

Hopefully the ratings will continue to drop and TLC will choose to cancel the show - because it's pretty obvious that Jon & Kate have no desire to put a halt to this "gravy train" any time in the near future..

You know, for me the appeal of this show, which I've watched sporadically over the years, was the truly cute and adorable kids. I don't enjoy it much when it's more focused on the adults - as it has been lately. I'm not that interested in watching Kate smack Emeril with a spatula (I was NOT impressed by that) or seeing John snowboarding or any of the other things they've been doing.

I did LOVE the scene where the two little boys were getting the stuffed animals out of a coat pocket and telling the cameramen to close their eyes, and checking to make sure they weren't looking (but of course the camera was running). Now that was cute. That's the kind of thing I enjoy.

I honestly do not see how this marriage could be saved and I would have far more respect for them if they just called it quits right now, let the cameras go and made some steps in the right direction towards getting stability and respect into those children's lives.

They would be better apart then together. Kate is a shrew and was always a shrew. She admits it but makes no apologies for it. Jon never stood up for himself and instead took the passive aggressive approach which allowed Kate to not only behave that way but her tude then THRIVED because that was "acceptable".

Mistakes and errors in attitude and judgement can be overcome but when there is no respect there is no hope.

When one of the little girls (sorry, I can't remember her name) bit thru her lip and Jon bought her the decaf iced coffee goodie, Kate seemed irritated. She said something about starting "THAT" early. I guess it's ok now.

From the looks of it, Kate is certainly going out of her way to be photographed around town. If she was so worried about the "P' people, why wouldn't she stay in her fortress home?? The commercial about the choppers show, its funny how Jon says I would like to spend time with the guy's because we all know I have female friends?? Me too. I hope once they get past all the explaining they think they owe us, about where Jon spends his nights, and if Kate and him can talk on the couch together, they can get back to the fun parts of the series.

I know many have said in earlier threads they seldom watched this show, but I have and I adore the kids and enjoy watching the above parts..well I adore them if they aren't screaming LOL.

I do hope any counseling they do is off camera (I have no idea if they would or wouldn't based on anything I've read, or if money plays into it, since I really have no idea if everything they do is for money, that is just guess work and judging..but I'm betting there are some that would like to be a part of watching them getting back together, and TLC may have that in a contract they signed, not thinking they would ever need it), since I doubt either of them would be honest with cameras rolling. And if you aren't honest with your counselor, you really won't get anywhere. But again, they may be beyond that.

Wasn't Kate off with Mady when the little one bit her lip? Did she see Jon give her iced coffee? I guess that went over my head. There were pictures way back when, when they first moved there and before Jon's little fun, when Kate had brought a couple of the tups in for an iced drink at Starbucks. Of course that was before everything they did was scrutinized and made much of.

So she should stay at home all the time? Then they win (the pap). Like Tory Spelling said to Kate (not in person, but in a story)..soon enough they will move on. They certainly spent a lot of time with Tory. They really played up her differences with her mom and dad.

No idea if there is a bodyguard with her. If it suits the story better, the pap keep him at the edge of picture, cut out. Especially if it's not Steve. They don't want us to know there are more than one available to her and with her. It looks much more interesting if they make it seem Steve and Kate are out about town. That makes it look like Kate is having a fling with him.

Reality show people aren't real celebrities. Lets see, Kate Gosselin gets $75,000 for filming an episode of her kids most intimate/private moments and Sandra Bullock (actress) gets $20 million for starring in a film?? No comparison!!!

No, I would stay home for 6 months trapped in my house. to avoid them (not). Whether people like it or not, Kate is a celebrity. I guess since she just earns a lousy $75,000 a show (if that's what she earns) she isn't a rich one (except to me LOL), but she is a celebrity. Some of us may not like it, but a celebrity she is. Otherwise she wouldn't have to worry about the paparazzi. It's not like all the photographers are easy for her to see (well, the one right behind her is). They take these pictures from a distance as well as close up. If she stayed home, people would say..the poor kids, they never get to leave the house. And IMO she has the right to go out of her house and into town and stores, etc. I wish there was a law against stalking..I wish it had been a law everywhere before Lady Diana died.
We have no idea if she likes the attention or if she likes to get out of the house just like I do, with her children. It's easy to judge from our easy chairs, but we really don't know this person.
Funny, a lot of people had no problem watching these kids most intimate moments when the show started, which made Kate and Jon and their family celebrities. I do hope, as the kids are getting older, that they are more careful as to what they show. Lately they seem to be, so maybe they are recognizing that what was cute at 3 or 5 may not be at 5 and 7.
By the way, Tori Spelling is also showing her kids in a reality show,. That was why I used her as an example. I wonder if she is getting anywhere near the money Kate and Jon are earning.
