Hi I am a newbie and already addicted to this board, its really bad! I too so want to know the real truth! On another note...does anyone know what was written on their old set at the end of the season finale. They both wrote something on the walls, and I am curious what it was! Thanks!

I thought Kate wrote that she was a wonderful mom considering all she had to do and then when Jon went to write she told him that he could only write his name.

They aren't doing this for the kids sake. I'm sorry you don't bash a child parent how is that helping this kids?? Jodi and Kevin are nothing but low life scum who are trying to cash in on Jon and Kate fame. They were okay with everything as long as they were in on the show. They have said many times they haven't spoke to Jon and Kate in over a year. This kids love being on this show you can tell. I'm sorry Jon and Kate are abusing this kids in the least

ITA! When Jodi was on the show, I really liked her, and thought she was a good Aunt and sister in law, but since then, I've basically lost any respect I had for her, and I think it's very obvious that she has some kind of jealous envy issue, which I think it completely rediculous, and very sad what she's doing to the family she claimed to love ect. I agree that based on some of her comments in these interviews she really comes across as very jealous (I don't really get why, except for maybe the money, but still would she really prefer to have all the crap that comes with that) I think what Kevin and Jodi are doing is dispicable.

I think it's sad that the photogs are all over the family, but Kate seems like an intelligent woman and she should have expected this. I see it as her greed getting in the way. She loved the attention and all the material and $$$ benefits, and now that things have gone bad, she's complaining. But there's no indication that she's going to pull her family out of being the main attraction in the circus. When she started, it was an entitlement thing (I have 8 small kids and society owes me help), and now it's a fame thing (we're the Gosslins and we deseve the freebie and celebrity treatment). Sad for the children.

Imagine when the kids, especially Kara and Maddie, are grown and they see themselves displayed on tv like that...well, Kate will probably say "but we got a big house and a van and free vacations and free clothes out of it". I have a feeling Jon is/will regret exploiting their kids this way, but Kate won't. Even "real" celebrities (actors, singers) who actually work for their money try to protect their kids private lives from the public eye.

I do not shed a tear for these two at all, when they sold out their family to be on a t.v. show they lost the right for anyone to feel bad for them losing their privacy. Wow! Not too much but enough that as I was trying to catch up the first time, it froze my computer! I had stuff quoted but lost it in the restart so I guess it wasn't that important!

As for what they're paying a month, a friend has a house for sale in their development. You can buy the house for $2 million or rent it for $4900/month! I would imagine that's not *as* scary to J&K with their income but to me that's craziness! I couldn't imagine living in anything that cost that much!

Alright....well, I've finacially planned for a hurricane or other natural disaster this morning so the world is once safe again. I couldn't help myself from comparing one of our speakers today to Kate (and family it seems!) due to his excessive (by my standards) use of "ummm". That's a huge pet peeve of mine!

I think Jon may already be regretting exploiting his kids. I think he, unlike Kate realize that this and there not doing it to make ends meet anymore.

she didn't sell pictures when she was here -- well, not that I am aware of. Nothing was sold at the church. I never heard mention of picture sales at the book signing, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

The time Kate actually spent speaking/working here seems minimal compared to some of the other events she's made an appearance. Kate arrived in Kentucky sometime on Saturday -- I never heard if she spent the night locally or in Louisville (about an hour away) -- she arrived at the church very before the 9:00am start time, spoke for 25 minutes each at 2 different worship services. Kate did not linger after the late service, had lunch at Ruby Tuesday and went to Target before she did a book signing at the local high school. (the people I know that went to the book signing never did say how long it lasted so I don't have a timeline for that) .. and then flew home. There was no public meet and greet with Kate at the church. I don't know if the book signing was part of Kate's obligation to the church, or if it is something the book people/publicist arranged.

I just don't get why a church would want to have her speak these days. I understand that 'bad things happen to good people', but so much of what we are seeing out of them seems so un-Christian to me. So NOT the example I would want for my marriage, my family, my life. JMHO.

I'm surprised a church would have booked her even last year if anyone ever say the show. She doesn't act that Chritain like to me. Yes I realize that someone might also have that point of view about me if I had a camera crew around all the time. Heck I caught my neighbor across the street who's a Pastor giving some the "what fore" on the phone once. I guess he learned not to talk on the phone in the front yard that day. I'm just saying she has a serous pattern of acting that way.
