:sad2:

end. the. show.

I agree but I seriously doubt that will happen. I honestly think Kate looks at Jon as a dispensable employee and she's enjoying her fame and fortune way too much.

IMO it will be either Jon moving out or Jon getting a job outside the home.

I personally think it is terrible that anyone would refer to a child as a "prop". I know we disagree and I hope we can do so respectfully. :flower3: Yes the lights are hot - we had them here at my office (posted about it on the last J&K+8 thread) but we also had the AC set very low to offset the heat certainly making it bearable. My kids don't get to run around and play all the time - yes they "work". They have chores and other tasks throughout the day they are expected to work on..
-------------------------------

And I personally think it's "terrible" what Jon & Kate are exposing their children to.. Without the children as "props" (as they were in that particular incident - no reason for them to be there whatsoever) there isn't a show (at least until such time that Kate gets her own talk show or whatever it was that she has been saying she wants) .. I think we can at least "respectfully" agree (or maybe disagree) on that aspect..;)

While your children are "working" while doing chores, that's not exactly the same as "working" on a tv set - wouldn't you agree?

I won't be watching, though. I made that mistake in the season opener. I'm not doing it again.
--------------------------------------

:thumbsup2

They will be left alone as soon as nobody cares anymore and that will not happen until Jon and Kate stop allowing their lives to be filmed. Until then this is what their lives will be and they have no right to complain as they hold the key to putting a stop to it all.
-------------------------

As some would say, "They made their bed and now they have to lay in it.." Unfortunately 8 little children also have to lay in that same bed that their parents chose for them..:sad2:

Haven't seen this new "dramatic" preview, but hopefully it will be an announcement about ending the show.. "If" they do that - and focus on what is really important in their lives - maybe, just maybe, they might still have a shot at getting back together again and living a happy, normal life off camera..

... Every person I know - myself included who has had a long standing relationship involving a child or children has come to a tipping point AT LEAST a few times... It is just not on national TV.

Should everyone that hits these 'tipping points' quit their jobs?

I don't think so... Jon, Kate and the Kids have the benefit of being able to earn a living by participating in their own show. This means the good the bad and now - the ugly. Everyone experiences it, it just happens to be their job - asking them to quit is tantamount to asking them to give up... and I don't think that's fair and is definitely NOT what I would do if it were myself and my family... aimvho

IF they end the show, do they think the paparazzi will go away?

In my opinion, the show is not the issue. Nome of this paparazzi stuff started happening until Jon got caught with the other woman. Then it just became a game with the P people to see who could catch them doing something. So it has become a frenzy that has nothing to do with the show. It is a sport to bash Kate for every little thing she does. Pumping gas, wearing heels, wearing a dress, haircut. She's not smiling, she's not playing with the kids. So many people are eating up every bit of gossip and photo that is posted every day. Ending the show will not make this frenzy go away. If you stop clicking the gossip site links and giving them traffic, maybe they will stop buying those photos. Then maybe the P people will back off. The gossip sites and witch hunts will do more damage to the kids than the actual show.

Eventually - although they would have had a much better shot at it had they ended the show last season - before all the mud slinging started, the scandals surfaced, and Jon & Kate started giving interviews geared to make each other look bad..

I just can't wrap my head around what those two were thinking - agreeing to another season when they already knew there was "trouble in paradise"..:sad2:

We'll just have to agree to disagree, because I don't see making a child wait a few minutes, while an ADULT gets a drink emotionally abusive.

Yes, my children are important, but should they really be #1 in everything? :confused3

I really am tired of talking about water :) but the only reason Kate is there at the interview is BECAUSE of the those kids. Yes, they should be #1 at a filming featuring them. I think they earned a drink or at least some nice talk and acknowledgement for their discomfort!

It does sound to me, if I was a gambling person, that the show will be ending. Certainly divorce wouldn't give them all 'peace'. They need peace from the paparazzi. It would be a shame if the pap drove them to this, but it might be the only way to get peace. And once again the pap would win.

Here's the commercial I think is being referred to as the "new" commercial. I hadn't seen it before so it was new to me! :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 We all liked the show right up until John got 'caught' and the paparazzi tried to make them look like they were horrible people and doing something wrong by having the kids on TV. Then add to that the armchair psychiatrists that knew better than their parents, how to parent, and made sure they posted all over the place, and you have a mess.

just passing this one along ... mainly because I think it highlights how completely out of control this whole thing has gotten. seriously.

Jon & Kate need to be left alone.

Jon & Kate need to get out out of their contract and off TLC.

This needs to end NOW.

It appears Jon isn't so bright either. Seriously, what part of 'go in the back yard where no one can see you' don't they understand?

Doesn't anyone want to talk about Jon's blunt? :rotfl: Kate's going to love that picture! Their "people" have got to have less hair than Jon! They are like SNL skits of themselves! Seriously, I do feel bad for them. They never saw it crumbling this way.

Maybe YOU liked the show until then, but this ******* about them has been bubbling under the surface at least a year. I began to change my opinion when Aunt Jodi disappeared, I dug a little and there you go!

I'll be sure to do that.

Hummm does anyone remeber that video clip from the paps? Jon was picking up trash near the fence and they, the paps where asking him questions and Jon just kept saying "Watch our show" Maybe this is what he wants us to watch.

I just can't wrap my head around what those two were thinking - agreeing to another season when they already knew there was "trouble in paradise"..:sad2:

I can figure out what they were thinking---more money; freebies as in trips, clothes, toys, furniture, appliances, etc; book sales and tours and interviews of all kinds for Kate; did I mention money and freebies?

I bet TLC loves this press--creates more drama, gets people to watch and talk on boards/blogs like this. If people stopped watching and noone wrote on the boards/blogs or bought the mags with their pics on it, I wonder how fast TLC would drop them. Though TLC does seem to have a replacement show perhaps--the new sextuplets one that starts this week or next.

Uh lets pad the bank account? I love all the attention!! - that coming from Kate

-------------------------

"We"? Please don't include everyone in that group.. I have always had a problem with this show - for various reasons.. But within the past year or so things have spiraled so far out of control - so much more for the kids to see, hear, and experience (now as well as later) it was mind boggling to me that they would sign on for yet another season - Season 5.. Clearly they weren't thinking of the ramifications and now they have come back to bite them in the butt - at the expense of the kids..

I know you don't agree with me - and we will never see eye to eye on this - but I needed to clarify that I am not a part of the "we" camp..
