Not mine, but I actually do know alot of people that are that way.

Now that I started really thinking about it, my parents are very involved in my kiddos lives as were their parents in mine, but my DH hardly ever saw either set of grandparents (I've never met them and we've been married for over 8 years.) My DH mom also has really no contact with our kids.

I took her comments to mean they do have a role in the lives of the children just not on camera.

Ok so why were they in Beverly Hills???

Probably there for some show. Chances are they were either sent to that particular place by a publicist and then the publicist called TMZ OR they went there and the photographers were already there.

Mr. Chow is pretty popular with celebrities, I've seen lots of pics of various ones coming or going. :thumbsup2

As for Beth and Bob, could be they pulled back from being filmed. Some people do not have any qualms accosting someone because they are a "celebrity" no matter how minor. Could be they get asked A LOT about J&K and are just tired of it.

As for the "helper" Kate may be worried that the same thing will happen and doesn't want to lose her.

Us too. My inlaws live 1 mile away and we have to beg and plead for them to come see DS3. They just have no interest. :confused3I have to beat my mom off with a stick :rotfl:

LOL it was a little weird on the show the other night just showing the kids with no supervision - like they were home alone or something....I don't know how that will work with the "helper" not being shown on camera. When Kate talked about it, it almost sounded like she didn't know why she didn't want to be on tv

See this drives me nuts. I am really trying not to come across as snarky :goodvibes but the "helper" was there. She had a black shirt on, you could see her in some of the shots....but just her hands/arms. You are by far not the only one, but it drives me nuts that nobody notices these things or listens to them talk and explain things.

And no, I do not study the show or rewatch it 10 times to pick up on these things. I watch the episode once. But it is no wonder things get blown way out of proportion when they explain things over and over and show things and people still miss it.

Sorry guys, rant over now :)

She didn't say the helper wasn't there. She simply was stating that not showing the helper was like they were showing that the kids were home alone without supervision.

Just a thought, but the tups will be five in May, right? I wonder if they'll hold them out an extra year. They could easily justify it, saying they were preemies and need to grow up a little more. Then they wouldn't be gone all day, and they could continue filming season five without worrying about the kids in school all the time. Just keep them in preschool an extra year, and there you have it. Problem solved.

Anyway, just something that occurred to me.

I hope they used a coupon...according to restaurant websites it is $$$$.

If it was a business trip (book signing, speaking engagement) it may be classified as a business expense.

Did anyone watch Table for 12 the other night? I DVRed it and just watched it (kids are in nap) and man, those 4 year olds talk a lot better than the Gosselins. It was also refreshing to see them eat without bibs and sippy cups. ;)

But that is my point. They showed that clip when Kate was talking about the helper not wanting to be on TV. You could clearly see the helper was there, just not on camera (you could see her arms). They weren't making it seem like the kids were there without supervision. They were showing Kate's point that sometimes the helper is there and will not be seen on camera.

Could you imagine if they didn't address this now and in future episodes it would appear the kids were alone. People would be calling crying for CPS to get involved even though there was a perfectly good reason no adult was seen.

Just think about all the money they are throwing away month after month while their old house sits empty waiting for somebody to buy it. If Kate really was concerned about every dollar they spent they would have stayed there until they sold it or rented it out until it sold. It just makes the whole coupon thing with Jon seem even more hypocritical to me.

I think that poor or rich - everybody shodul be wise with their money and save where they can - but that $20 she screamed over wasn't worth the effort considering everything else.

It didn't seem to me at all like they were showing the kids without supervision. They were showing Kate's point that sometimes the helper is there and will not be seen on camera.

I didn't think they were without supervision. They said in the interview chair that they had a babysitter (but never a Nanny!) so I figured that person was there. I didn't notice her in the background at all though.

Most people could not afford to move before their old house had sold. So, I don't think they are hurting for money one bit. TLC probably pays some of their bills since their house is the set for the show. So, that is money they probably use for the old house bills...which could be put into savings for the kids...but I digress.

No adult was seen though - only an arm which is the point. If Jon and Kate are not there and they're not showing interaction with any other adult it's just weird.

I seriously doubt anybody would call CPS considering there would have to be at least 2 adults there just to shoot the show to begin with.

Obviously you havent' read some of the other boards out there :lmao: People will call CPS over anything.

Why would it be weird? If the production crew is busy interviewing the parents I'm sure childcare is arranged by TLC. Just because you don't see it why would we assume they are alone? :confused3

If we see you and your husband out for dinner we wouldn't assume your kids were home alone? :lmao:
