A coupe of questions. First, I used to love the cinnamon rolls at the Main Street Bakery. It was the sticky bun version without the cream cheese frosting. However, the last time I had one, it was awful. Instead of a sticky topping they had some watery sugar syrup, not at all sticky/caramely, not at all the same, and every time I checked afterward they still looked the same so I never went back. Do they have a good sticky type cinnamon bun at Jolly Holiday? I have never gone there. The pictures I have seen appear to be pre-frosted pre-packaged things like something you can buy at a grocery store.

Secondly, people say it's a great place to watch the fireworks, but I would assume people stake out spots there very early, food or no. I assume the CMs don't try to kick people out who aren't eating. I wrong? I would be happy to buy food there if it would get me a seat but I just don't see that happening.

I haven't tried their cinnamon rolls, but everything else I've had there is delicious.

As for fireworks, there are alot of trees in the way so I guess it would depend on which table you're sitting at. We went for cocoa during fireworks and they weren't kicking people out.

Thank you both. I was kind of hoping it might be somewhere I could go with the grandkids - cocoa sounds perfect - to rest my weary bones during the fireworks.

The cinnamon roll at Jolly Holiday is not pre-packaged, but it's also not a sticky bun (the kind with caramel sauce). It comes with a cream cheese icing and it's delicious. However, if that's not your thing, Jolly Holiday has a pretty decent selection of other baked goods and sweets (and soup and sandwiches), and often some of the best seasonal items too.

I've never tried to watch the fireworks from there. I have nabbed a table nearby at Refreshment Corner before, rested my legs and then walked right out on to Main Street before the fireworks started. That worked pretty well, but it probably depends on how busy of a night it is.
