Join Us For Epcot's 25th!

If anyone is heading to Epcot on Monday October 1, come and help celebrate this special anniversary - the 25th 'birthday' of the park - with us!

Susan and I will be among a group of keen Disney fans meeting up to mark the occasion over Sept 30 and Oct 1 with Adam Roth and Jenn Waitt of the Celebration 25 organisation. Adam and Jenn have set up a wonderful two days of festivities based around the 25th Anniversary (basically because Disney haven't bothered to!), and have extended an invitation to our British friends to be part of it.

It is free to take part (as long as you have park entry tickets) but you do need to register before Sept 25. Come along and meet us and other Disney fans, and chat about Orlando and all things Disney!!

Though I must admit to also being registered for the Epcot Thing. I just gotta watch Nathan trying to drink 50 Beverleys *shudder*

And on top of that, my partner want's to challenge him to a "Drink off"

We'll be the ones with the Custom "Happy Birthday Epcot" Ts on (don't you just love Zazzle?)

I must admit, we found the thought of watching someone trying to drink 50 (or more! ) Beverleys quite off-putting But I'm sure the various groups will meet up at different points, so it should be a memorable day all-round. Roll on October 1!!

Aha! Well spotted, Deb. Yes, it does look like management have finally admitted they made a mistake in not making this more of an occasion and are struggling to play catch-up and do something worthwhile. It will certainly be interesting to see how they handle it (good story by the Sentinel, too).

Sorry I can't join you but it certainly brings back memories I applied for a job at EPCOT when it opened. Sadly I didn't get it but I still have the rejection letter. How sad is that...
