I love the photos. Hope you have a brilliant hols, although it's hot in August at least you're prepared which was more than we were when we went then. We learn't the hard way!

If you don't mind I might pm you as I have a friend who's taking her daughter for the first time in Jan next year and she is autistic so if I can introduce you both it may help her with some of her fears for her daughter and going through the US customs etc and she really is worried and has read just about every book going but there's nothing like personal experience.

I always look out for your trip reports Johnny and hope you will have a fantastic time after your two year break from Orlando.

You can always relax and have a beer by your very own pool at the villas in the evenings. Will be thinking of the three of you in August and looking forward to reading your trip report when you get back.

Hope you all have the most fantastic time and hope you manage to get to some new places with Josh, I know you need to consider Josh in everything you do but I also know how hard it is to feel like you as a person are missing out on somethings. I am just getting the pre holiday nerves a little, daft I know, just hoping Joshua is okay on the flight. After his siezure last time, the only one he has had in about 4 years.
We will hopefully find it more comfortable upstairs on the PE section, and with an extra hour before we set off should enable us to get some breakfast down him which in the past we have never had chance to do.
He eats and drinks very little on the day, which is probably the cause of our problems last time?
We may even have to resort to giving him some fruit juice by shringe (the way his Epilepsy drug is administered) just to get some regular liquid down him.

Guess he is like me loves Florida but doesn't like the journey, even though we have both been a few times now.

we have bought alex (21 has downs) an i pod touch he loves it you can copy 20 hours of dvds onto it and the picture quality is brilliant. they are very lightweight. It might be worth looking at how much they would be in florida they are very easy to use. We are going 3 aug to 25 aug and cant wait.

Hi Michelle, we have a portable DVD player with a 10" screen and 4 batteries.

I do like the look of the ipod but there is no way he would have the headphones in his ears. The DVD player he loves so 'entertainment wise' there are no problems really.

He isn't the best eater or drinker in strange surroundings, the shringe option though it sounds horrid could possibly be the only way we will get liquid down him.
Having said that we just don't know, it's 2 years since we went so what his reaction will be is something we cannot really be sure of.
Physically he has grown a bit since we last went.
We have thought of everything, Premium Economy seats, DVD player with about 20 DVDs that he likes and a few that are new he hasn't seen before, a few small books/comfort toys, sandwiches and crisps will be there for him too...problem is last time he didn't eat a thing from the time he got up to the time we arrived in Florida. That just isn't ideal especially when he is drinking little also.
The larger seats in PE will hopefully help him, plus the extra room of the upstairs cabin, something that we have never done before and also setting off an hour later should mean he can have some breakfast before we go.
