Recently I came across a new tv channel called Chiller which airs old Dark Shadows programs from the early 1990's, not the one from the 60's 70's. I was a big fan of that program when I was younger. For the fun of it I googled Dark Shadows.

Low and behold I came across an article that claims that in the summer that Tim Burton is going to film a version of Dark Shadows. Guess who is going to play Barnabas Collins?- yep- Johnny Depp.

If this is true for sure I will be going to see this. No other news as to who else is going to be in the movie. Would like to know more. I will look in to to see what I can find out.

Those rumors have been going around for at least a couple of years now. I'm a big JD fan and a big Dark Shadows fan, and I was really excited when I first heard them. A couple years later with nothing happening yet? I'll save my excitement for when I hear that it is in production.

Yep I heard about this a couple years ago also - I thought it might be put on the back burner since there was no new news lately but I did see something on MTV blogs about it not too long ago, that it is still in the works - I'll see if I can find a link.
