John Edward in Orlando, July 11 and 12th-

DH and I love his show and DH is the ultimate skeptic. He even read one of his books after watching the show several times. There are things he brings up to people they insist they never told anyone. Maybe they are actors-who knows they seem to be honest shocked reactions. It gives me hope:) I wish we could go see him in July.

I saw him last weekend in Atlanta. The audience was rather large. No one in my group was "read" so I can't validate his talent.

My comments are not for debate; I'm only sharing what I thought about the experience.

My husband however, the biggest skeptic in the world - a mathmatician and a man who demands proof , walked away admitting that he just doesn't know. He thinks John Edward may be for real. And this is a man who would look at every possible angle.

He's not fishing for info (if you watch enough you realize that he is way too specific for that).

The only way he could be scamming the audience would be if he planted people in the audience to be read. Possible? of course. The only problem with this theory - in 18 years of "doing readings" somebody somewhere would have "talked" by now and been on Entertainment Tonight with "John Edward is a Fake" and his scam would have been revealed.

I agree, if he is a scam artist - he is a very cruel man.

However, I tend to believe that he is legit.

And for the person who asked "where does he get his power?" - he says everyone has the ability to communicate with those who have passed on - it just takes prayer, meditation and practice. I think some people are more "wired" for that sort of thing than others.

A few other observations for those who are interested about his seminar:

He could have sold "John Edward merchandice" at the show and made a pile of money - he did not. Not a single tshirt, book, tape, nothing.

He could have signed up the entire room for private readings at $300.00 a pop - he did not.

He spent about 15 minutes telling people that they should be skeptical - insist on validation from any medium or psychic they ever visit. He instructed on how NOT to give away information to the "psychic" - and to insist on more than general comments.

The chances of being "read" at his seminar are slim because there are so many people in the audience. I think he gave about 25 readings (actually more than I thought he would)

And finally, his show was very entertaining. Funny, amazing, interesting.

As my husband said, "If he is not for real, he is VERY good at performing".

forgot, one other thing that may be of interest to some of you:

John Edward is endorsed by Ramond Moody MD - he wrote at least two books -" Life after Life" and "Reflections on Life after Life" many years ago about near death experiences - completely unbiased, just presenting research that he had collected over the years from his own patients and others. His goal was to look at the possibility of an after life from a purely scientific, medical point of view. Dr. Moody is certainly legit and I was pleased to see that he endorsed John Edward.

I was very skeptical when my mother first told me about John Edward! Death is something alot of people don't like to deal with! And I believe that is why alot of people think he is a fake! I went to see John Edward in Philadelphia and believe me no probbing was done at this seminar ! A young women was read that had a brother who commited suicide very moving ! She could validate everything! along with many others ! I can only say don't research it go see it with you're own eyes this is a very amazing experience! Many people who do this are fakes I don't see how he is a fake and believe me I am a hard one to convince! I literaly thought my mother was nuts! Until I seen with my own eyes!
I would love to see him again and would pay to see him again every time he was near! He is a very gifted person! For those of you who want to know where he recieved the power he didn't it's not a power it is definitely a GIFT! :D

puffy2, Thanks for posting that info! I just got tickets for the July 11th seminar. My husband and I have always talked about wanting to see him in action, so now that he'll be so close we couldn't pass up the chance. I'll keep my fingers crossed that one of us will be lucky enough for a reading!
