John and Kevin Tim Hortons really grows on you.

I guess he thought that they were just a Canadian specialty.
The place is about a mile from my home; I pass it every day and, would you believe I've never tried it.

I'm seeing a lot of posts comparing this place to Dunkin Doughnuts but I abandoned DD after discovering Krispy Kreme and their Hot sign. Wonder how Tim Horton compares to Krispy.

If you compare doughnuts, the Krispy Kreme doughnuts are waaaaay sweeter than Timmies doughnuts. I prefer Timmies doughtnuts because eating a Krispy Kreme always felt like I was eating about 1 pound of fat and preservatives.

It sounds like a difference in taste for both the doughnuts and the coffee.

You prefer timmies. I can't say either way since this shop is not existent here. I love Krispy Kreme because it feels a little bit decadent.:thumbsup2

Then again taste and what we like and don't like is very subjective.

My family is guilty of drinking of a lot of Tim's coffees. Even the dog is hooked, she gets pretty excited going for her weekend morning car ride to get her 1 timbit (large double double and one plain timbit!)....a tail-wagging good time!

:dogdance:

Tim Horton's and Krispy Kreme both opened a store in CT. Both closed within 2-3 years. Dunkin' Donuts rules this area.

Really Paul? I didn't know we ever had a Tim Hortons, Krispy Kreme yes, I am still sad they closed the one in Milford :( I have to go to Mohegan Sun now if I want a Krispy Kreme. My family loves Tim Hortons, we had it a few times on a trip to Maine a couple summers ago. We just got back from the Disney Canada cruise and actually asked our taxi tour driver to take us to Tim Hortons, he said he was happy to take us to Timmies and went through the drive-thru for us. :lmao:
