Hi all! I joined a women's beginners running group last month. We're heading to WDW next Saturday morning for a week. I will be missing 3 of my group runs while I am gone. I would love to get in at least 2 runs while I am there. I am currently going about 2-2.5 miles. Any suggestions on where to go? I was thinking that going to the Magic Kingdom would be about 1 mile there and 1 mile back. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

You could take the boat to WL and run from the lodge to the campground and back. They have a map at the lodge. It's a nice path and we saw deer when we ran on it in May. Have a great trip!

Put it in aerial photo mode to see how it goes aroung the Contemporary.

Run all the way to the canal by following the side walk to the monorail station and veering left next to the far boat docks (the map will show you better).

There were one or two small surface issues with some of the memorial bricks but nothing more than an inch or two offset.

It is a fun little run

Let me know if you need other ideas.

I did the route PP suggested going past the MK monorail and boat docks just last week.. and got absolutely attacked by kamikaze flies! Eww never again :(

Thanks for the route! I didn't see your message until just now, but that's what I did. It was a nice little run, about 2 miles there and back.

Coach, for some reason I can't access this link (says that route is marked as private???). Would this be a route that the hotel would publish and I could pick up a map from the hotel? I can't quite figure out where the route starts/ends or the distance. Thanks.

Oops, try now. A real simple description of the run is to start on the lakeside of BLT, run around the back past the Contemp pools, around the South Garden Wing, up the backside of the convention center, following the path to the gard shack area then the sidewalk to MK. Once in the area of MK main gate, veer left to the monorail station, staying left like you were taking a water ferry but stayin on the sidewalk until the end. It's one of those developed but unknown areas on property. Return following the same route.

Put the map in satellite view to see details (except for the BLT)

Oh, and sorry about the flies fall08CP... Can't do much about those.
