Jodi's bridal journal (posts welcome) - I'm back!

Hi Everyone,

Had a wonderful time in New York. I highly recommend "A Wonderful Town" it was so much fun. After the play we ate at Carmine's (amazing food).

Well, I will definetely be hitting the gym tomorrow - I have to pay for the food I ate tonight. I just felt free to totally let good with food and wine while out - I guess sometimes you just need to do that. :)

I'm really getting bummed out by my DF sister (oldest)....long story but she is the reason that I am pulling out of the bridesmaid dress search....I thought all of this planning would be so much fun but it is turning into a real nightmare.

My DF and I haven't spoken in a few days because of his sister....He was upset that he mentioned going to a concert with his parents and his sister and than said that he's not sure if he would get 5 seats together or 3 and 2. I told him that he should go for the 2 seats because I just wanted to be with him - the truth is I can't take his sister, she is such a wet blanket.

Well, I am going for the night....Have a good one everyone.

Today I hardly ate.....I still went full force at the gym which I thought was a mistake but I have just been so upset over all of this wedding stuff, worse of all I can't talk about it! I know if I say to my DF how his sister made me feel - he's just going to stick up for her and not and even think about my feelings.

Not much else going on though! Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around on a regular basis but I've been very busy as of late.

Went to the gym yesterday but probably won't make it today; I have some kind of stomach and I ended up taking off from work today - hopefully, I can get updated with all of the journals today.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

Jodi

:wave2: Hi Jodi,
Sorry you aren't feeling well. I'm sending some healing pixie dust your way :wizard: . I wouldn't worry about the gym. Give your body lots of rest today ::yes:: .

I'm sorry you are having issues with your wedding planning. Sometimes I am happy that my DH only has brothers (although they can also be a pain in the butt once in a while  ;) ). I would give them a deadline and tell them to get together and pick out the dress by then just for your peace of mind. Either that or find three styles and let them pick from those three or something.

I hope you have a nice relaxing Monday, Jodi :sunny: !

I haven't had the best week - this week. I kind of fell off the diet but I've been good with the exercise...I mean I didn't go off and eat tons of ice cream or anything, I just haven't been eating in the most healthy way.

I am debating on whether or not to start another diet plan, this new plan is really similiar to a diet that I was on once before, the only thing is it is quite expensive. I will have to think about it. Here is a link if anyone is interested and checking out something new and healthy. http://www.herbalife.com/hl/templates/templatepreportal/herbalife/index.jsp

I finally ironed out things with my DF and told him how I don't think that I could shop with his sister anymore. He was fine with that, so now it will be up to me and the maid of honor....The maid of honor is honest but not so brutal....My maid of honor is the best, she says everything with love, which is what I need.

I do like my DF sister but not to shop with. I hope that makes sense.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Jodi

:wave2: Hi Jodi,
I'm happy to hear you had a heart to heart with DF and he understands where you are coming from. I'm sure it will all work out for you as far as the dresses are concerned ::yes:: . The bottom line is that this is you and your fiance's wedding and while it's nice to take people's opinions into account, you will wear yourself out trying to make EVERYONE happy.

Take care and have a great weekend :sunny: !

Hello everyone,

Well, yesterday....I had a personal trainer session - everything went well. We have mapped out a 3 day routine for me. Oh, and that new diet, I decided to go ahead and do it but I will not be starting until after October, until then it will be just healty eating for me and the exercise routine that was already established.

I am so sore from the workout yesterday but a good sore! :)

There isn't much more going on. Just reading up on how to get the best deal on my Disney honeymoon next year. The part that really stinks about it is when we get there we will be in Regular season but the majority of our vacation is in value....From what I understand since I am getting there in regular season the regular season price applies for the full trip (I don't really think that is fair).

Does anyone know if there is a way to email the hotels or the reservations department to find out if this is true?

Well, I am off to research. I personally like doing it, so then I know exactly what to do when ready for reserving. Last time we went I don't feel that we got the best deal that we could have. :)

Jodi- if they won't give you the good rate for the nights in value season make two separate reservations. You will have to check out and in again but you may get to stay in your same room if you request that. This won't work if you are buying a package.
Before you go to all that trouble call and check with CRO. They may give you separate rates for the begining and end of your trip.

Hope things are going well- Mary

:wave2: Hi Jodi,
I love researching my trips myself also. I hope you are able to get a great deal. I would look into doing as Mary suggested and make two seperate reservations if they will not allow the new room rates to apply. I'm sure it will all work out for you.

Have a great Tuesday :sunny: !

Hi Everyone! Thank you Mary & Valerie for answering my question about the hotel rates, I actually just got done reading the same thing in one of the unofficial guides.....I think I might just give that a try.

I hope everyone is doing well on their diet & exercise. This past Saturday I had my trainer session and she whipped up 3 different routines that I can do - I always make it to the gym at least 3 days a week...sometimes more.

I can't remember if I said it in another post or not but I will be trying another diet....I shouldn't even say diet because it isn't a diet but I know I posted the link for it earlier...I won't officially start this diet until probably November because I have left over shake mix still from what I was using before.

I can't remember if I told you but next month, my DF and I will be taking our engagement photos (even more pressure to loose more weight- I always think I look really big in pictures....actually, I just think that I am big). I already have the perfect outfit for it and best of all bought it at a local outlet mall, so it was relatively cheap (love that):teeth: I bought it at my favorite store (at the outlet mall) Van Heusen.....and it's a small:) I've never been small:rotfl:

Before I start this next diet...My trainer will be weighing me again and measuring me. As long as I can get my stomach down - I'll be happy. I really should be reading books on positive self-talk....I do real damage to myself all of the time with my negativity.

I forgot my workout journal in my car...So I will update this posting tomorrow with tonight's workout. Tomorrow, I will be going to the gym just to do cardio and then full workout on Friday again.

Have a good night everyone.

Great idea! That is most likely what I will be doing and of course asking about adding in my AAA discount.:) Last year, I booked my trip with them and they were so nasty to me- so I prefer to just book myself and just use my discount.

Have a great week! I hope to check journals by the end of the week...Hope all is well with you.

Jodi

Wow, did today ever fly....One more day to go and then the weekend (Thank God).

Did well with the diet today and went to the gym and did cardio. DF worked out with me and we both had dinner afterwards! I love when he takes me out :)

I still forgot my journal in my care from the other night....Sorry ladies.

I hope the rest of you are all doing well.

Jodi:wave:

Hi Jodi,

Did you hear anything about your hotel ressies yet? I think Mary's idea is a good one. (Hi Mary:wave2:) You may want to give CRO a call like she suggested and see if they will work on the price for you. It would save you a lot of hassle and work. ::yes::

Keep up the good work with your exercise! I hope that this new diet works well for you.

Take good care of you,
Tracy:wave2:

Hi Tracy,
I haven't really called about hotel reservations yet.....I am going to wait a little bit more. I am just trying to weigh my options; Whether to go through AAA, travel agency, or to go through Disney.

That and I keep on changing my mind about what hotel I want to stay at. I really want to stay at the Port Orleans Riverside but my aunt just got married and is going there for her honeymoon. I really don't want to copy her, I know that sounds a bit bratty but recently my aunt has been either copying things that I do or getting to something before I can....it's just getting on my nerves. I know I sound immature but it just really bugs me - she has done that to my mother too! but then again I guess it is not just me because it is starting to bug my DF too!

I'm really considering staying at the Swan when we go but I am also weighing other options, do you think Disney would give me quotes on different vacations, or is it best to figure things out myself...We won't be ready to go until October 2005.

On another note Saturday (yesterday) I only did cardio. I spent quite a bit of time at the mall ; found the perfect shoes for me at Nine West (actually I bought two pairs and saved about $40 on my purchase), helped DF find an outfit for our engagement photos (all that is left is getting a shirt). Both of us are very excited to be getting our photos done. :)

Haven't made up my mind about going to the gym or not today. I want to but my back is still kind of sore....it feels like I have a bit of a cold in it.

Well, I hope to get some of journals today. Have a great Sunday everyone.

Jodi

Wow, the workout went great today. I didn't get as much done as I would have liked to but I feel I did a good job. I forgot again to bring my journal back into the house with me.....I hope to make those updates soon.

I am still not seeing the results that I want though - I seem to be at a standstill. Hopefully, when I go on that new diet in November I will see a marked improvement.

Although, it's weird everyone can see a difference in my body but me. DF told me last night that he thought that I was getting too skinny - I don't see it. I think it is because everywhere I go I see these Barbie doll girls everywhere - they are flawless.

Although, I thought about it today and when I start my new diet I thought in addition to measure my fat, inches, and weight maybe I could have my trainer take some "before" pictures. :) For one time in my life (while on my honeymoon) I would love to be able to wear a bikini or tankini and actually look good in it. I have such high demands on myself:earseek:

Well, I am off! Have a great upcoming week everyone!

Oh Jodi don't not doing something because it will look like you are trying to copy someone else. You will be the only one to suffer and will likely regret it. If you feel very strongly about this then how about splitting your stay? We were at a wedding this weekend that was just beautiful. What an exciting time in your life.:D

Jodi, your workouts are incredible as always! You'll be the most buff bride ever! Please don't forget though, that everyone loves you for what's on the inside - they don't love you for your body fat percentage!

Best wishes for a wonderful week! :sunny:

:wave2: Hi Jodi,
I just thought that this sentence from Doe's post was worth repeating :D . Remember that, okay ::yes:: ?

Have a wonderful week, Jodi :sunny: !

Jodi,

Good morning girl! I hope you have a wonderful day today; filled with :sunny: and :teeth: .
